1 11-02(17)/Q-05/2015/IIMK.PUR January 4, 2016 NOTICE INVITING QUOTATIONS Sealed quotations are invited from reputed manufacturers/vendors/dealers/suppliers for the following furniture item: Sl. Item Description 1 BOUGHT OUT FURNITURE ITEM: Storage units with CRCA (Cold Rolled Cold Annealed) sheets Brand: Godrej or equivalent Make (Specification as per Attachment given in Annexure I&II) Quantity 1 unit Terms & Conditions: 1. Quotations shall contain model/brand name and number, complete catalogues, specifications of the above item. 2. Rates quoted shall be inclusive of all taxes, and packing and forwarding charges, if any. Any other charges over the quoted rate shall be clearly indicated. 3. If the tenderer is not the original manufacturer of the product(s), a letter from the OEM authorizing the vendor to quote OEM s product on behalf of the OEM specifically for this tender shall be attached failing which the offer shall be rejected. 4. Along with the quotation, 2.5% of the total amount quoted shall be submitted by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, payable at Calicut. Quotations received without EMD or EMD in any other form than as stated above is liable to be rejected. The EMD will be refunded to the unsuccessful bidders within one month of the acceptance of the quotation. 5. Normal payment terms acceptable to the Institute shall be 95% payment within 30 days of satisfactory supply and installation of the furniture and the balance 5% after expiry of warranty period. In case the Supplier submits a Bank Guarantee for equivalent amount, this 5% payment will be released. 6. Delivery schedule shall clearly be indicated. IIMK shall impose penalty for delayed 0.5% per week or part thereof; subject to a maximum of 2.5%. Delivery and installation shall be made at Engineering Section at Indian Institute of Management, IIMK Campus P.O., Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode The items quoted shall carry a minimum of two years comprehensive warranty. Deviation in warranty terms, if any, shall clearly be mentioned in the offer. During the warranty period, the vendor shall be fully responsible for the manufacturer s warranty in respect of proper design, quality and workmanship of the items supplied. During the warranty period, the vendor shall be responsible for attending to all the reported defects including replacement of the defective parts, if required, at no extra cost. 8. The acceptance of quotations shall rest with the Institute which does not bind the Institute to accept the lowest quotation and reserves to itself the authority to reject any or all of the quotations received without assigning any reason.

2 9. Quotations shall be submitted in sealed envelopes superscribing reference number of the quotation notice on it. Quotations received without superscribing reference number of the quotation notice on the envelope shall be rejected. 10. Quotations shall be submitted by speed post/courier/in person. Those who wish to submit the quotation in person shall drop it in Tender Box (Purchase Section) kept in the reception counter of IIM Kozhikode. 11. IIM Kozhikode shall not be responsible for quotations received in damaged condition. 12. IIM Kozhikode shall not be responsible for delay in transit. 13. Quantity Description Unit Providing and fixing file storage units of of size 10.0 meter (length) X 0.50 meter (depth) X 2.10 meter (Height), aesthetically appealing completely knock down construction, Made from combination of CRCA (Cold rolled and cold annealed) 0.5 mm thick for side pannels and 0.8 mm thick for back side partition, with Epoxy Powder coated finishing of thickness of 50 microns (+10). The add-on units are stack widthwise to form a row of storage having a common side panel. Legs to be fitted with screw type leveler (add 40mm to the height). Four nos height wise adjustable Shelves to be provided with a minimum loading capacity of 40 Kg. Doors: to be provided, made of MDF and honeycomb covered with decorative and backing laminate.
