3 I. CED MODULE I.1. I.1. CED model update- onward transportation The CED model has been brought in line with the modifications implemented by Regulation (EU) 323/2014 introducing a specific authorisation data field for onward transportation pending the results of laboratory tests for consignments intended for the release for free circulation. In box II. 5 Acceptable for transfer, the DPE shall indicate if the consignment is authorised for the onward transportation provided for in Article 8 of Regulation (EC) 669/2009: Selection of this option automatically sets the laboratory results in the status Released pending a result : For a better traceability of such consignments, the corresponding CEDs can only be saved as In progress : 3 / 10

4 The printed pdf version of the CED has a watermark as IN PROGRESS. Once the laboratory results are made available for the DPE, the official inspector can open the relevant CEDin order to introduce the laboratory results and un-tick the Onward transportation check box, which will allow the validation of the CED: The printed pdf version of the CED has a watermark as ORIGINAL. 4 / 10

5 I.2. Not acceptable consignments and the details of the controlled destination When consignments are not acceptable for the Union market, the official inspector has now the possibility to create a new organisation as a controlled destination if the organisation is not recorded in the TRACES database. This possibility is only open for the CED module. The created establishment will have the status Pre-valid in the TRACES database until the details are validated by the responsible local authority. II. CVED-A and CVED-P modules: consistency between the entry document validation date and the corresponding health certificate issue date In order to avoid errors related to eccentric dates, corrective measures have been applied to the rule of consistency between the health certificate issue date (box 10 Veterinary documents ) and the validation date of the CVED: from now, the CVED can be validated if the indicated health certificate issue date is preceding or is equal to the entry document validation date. This business rule is applicable only at the competent authority level, thus the customs agent may introduce a health certificate issue date a posteriori the date of the declaration of CVED part 1. 5 / 10

6 III. TRANS modules: Notification s In order to allow a quick screening of the notification s by the type of the consignment, all the notification s will indicate the CN code and the defined purpose of the goods: 6 / 10
