He was regularly consulted both by private clients and also by United Nations agencies and other international bodies in relation to industry-wide issues. He is the author of numerous articles on shipping law and is co author of the standard textbook Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims published by Lloyds of London Press (4th edition 2005). He is now a consultant to Ince & Co and a visiting professor, teaching maritime law at Swansea University. Baris Soyer Professor Soyer is the Director of the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law at Swansea University. He is a member of the British Maritime Law Association and British Insurance Law Association. He is the author of Warranties in Marine Insurance published by Cavendish Publishing (2001), and of an extensive list of journal articles published in elite journals such as Lloyd s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, Journal of Business Law, Torts Law Journal and Journal of Contract Law. He currently teaches Admiralty Law, Charterparties and Carriage of Goods by Sea and Marine Insurance on the LLM Programme, and is the Head of Postgraduate Legal Studies Department at Swansea University. Organiser Ayako Odashima Ayako is Assistant Manager in BIMCO s Training Department, and is responsible for marketing and implementation of BIMCO s training courses worldwide. Prior to joining BIMCO in 2015, Ayako has worked for various international organizations, including UNICEF, FAO, WFP and UNOPS, and has been responsible for large-scale emergency logistics and coordinated training programs on humanitarian logistics and supply chain management in Asia, Africa, Europe and in the Middle East. Ayako holds a MSc in International Relations from London School of Economics and BA from Boston University.

Once you have registered, a confirmation will be sent to you but you will only have a confirmed place on the course after your payment has been received. Cancellation: You can cancel up to two weeks before the course start date and receive a 50% refund of the course fee. You will not receive a refund after this date.
