1 Pro Act Program Flexible maintenance programs to improve asset availability and performance

2 Husky is a leading global supplier of manufacturing solutions and services for plastics processors. We design, manufacture and integrate the industry s most comprehensive range of injection molding equipment, including machines, molds, hot runners, auxiliaries and integrated systems. 2 Pro Act Program

3 Why perform proactive maintenance? Adopting a proactive maintenance strategy results in fewer machine down situations and lower maintenance costs. For many customers, Husky s proactive and preventative services are more cost effective than reacting to problems after they have taken place. Benefits Critical machine needs performed by certified Husky technicians Tuning and calibration performed on an annual basis Advanced diagnostics go beyond routine maintenance Annual/Semi annual maintenance procedures Annual geometric correction Semi annual oil analysis Post visit review Improved Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Increased asset reliability, performance and cost savings Planned interventions to assess, maintain or correct the performance and availability of customer assets Scheduled maintenance activities to limit the required amount of downtime for service What is the Pro Act program? Pro Act is a contract based program focused on improving overall operational effectiveness (OEE). The program is based on a proactive, as opposed to reactive, maintenance model. It is designed to ensure high level performance and improve OEE by eliminating unplanned downtime. Key features of Pro-Act include: Proactive maintenance activities that are pre-planned and executed by Husky certified technicians Husky service on Husky machines ensures quality work completed by experts Customized programs depending on needs Maintenance costs tend to rise as machines age. Wear and tear, along with a lack of available time for machine maintenance, can result in significant cost increases. One system that is out of production due to unplanned maintenance can result in days of lost production and service issues can cost thousands to resolve. Ultimately, unplanned downtime leads to reduced profitability. Pro Act Program 3

5 Improve system performance Protect equipment Improve system reliability Pro Act Predictable yearly expenditures Reduce unplanned downtime Reduce overall spend Pro Act Level 1 Program Entry level proactive maintenance The Level 1 base Pro Act program addresses tuning and calibration of the machine. Proper tuning and calibration ensure that critical machine components such as pumps, valves and motors, can perform as designed and extend usable life. Optional advanced diagnostics provide enhanced capabilities to identify potential issues that could cause unplanned downtime through thermal imaging, pump case drain testing, field signal strength testing and energy analysis where applicable. Choosing the Level 1 program is an excellent way to have a Husky expert perform an annual check up. This annual exercise is conducted by our technicians, who are Husky machine specialists. With their experience, our technicians are able to rapidly diagnose and resolve many different scenarios that affect machine performance. This speeds up the service process. In addition, many tasks included in this annual review require specialized skills. Pro Act Level 2 Program Advanced level proactive maintenance The Level 2 Pro Act program is focused on continuous improvement of machine availability. An additional semi annual visit allows for more frequent inspections by Husky technicians. Customers with an internal maintenance team would ideally enlist Husky experts to assist in achieving optimal machine reliability as a complement to their staff. Combined with customer supported maintenance, as outlined in the machine manual, Pro Act programs provide sustainable OEE results. For machines three years old and older, a machine audit is recommended as a prerequisite to starting Pro Act. Once the audit is completed a Post visit report will be supplied for review of refurbishment requirements. Refurbishment should be completed before starting with the Pro Act program. Another possibility for older machines is to combine the Pro Act program with the Advanced Diagnostic option. Pro Act New Machine (Three year program) Pro Act program configured as an option with new machine purchases. It focuses on new machine needs during the initial three year warranty period. This program ensures new machines receive critical services during the initial warranty period, including: consumable parts, tuning and calibration, geometric correction, Post visit report; and advanced diagnostics in the third year.
