ISO 9002 Registration of Facilities The 3M facilities which manufacture electrical products have been registered by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. to the International Standards Organization ISO 9002 quality management system standard. ISO 9000 Certification ISO stands for the International Standards Organization, which is made up of the national standards boards from over 90 countries. The five-part ISO 9000 series of quality standards provides requirements and guidelines for both quality assurance and quality management systems. ISO 9002 is the model for quality assurance in production, installation and servicing. On January 1, 1993, these standards became a necessary element for some of the products made in or imported to Europe.
