6 WE'RE GETTING COOLER. The Port of Wilmington offers ample refrigerated container capacity, with nearly 300 plugs on terminal and the capability to add more. The Port of Wilmington is also home to one of only a few in-port cold storage facilities in the country. The Port of Wilmington Cold Storage (PWCS) is a state-of-the-art refrigerated warehouse with nearly three million cubic feet of freezer and cooler space and 10,600 pallet positions catering to the pork, poultry, fish, and produce markets. PWCS provides both cooling and freezing services, with temperatures ranging from -10 to degrees Fahrenheit, and on-site blast freezing with a capacity of up to 200 pallets per day.
