3 3 SCHOTT Termofrost SGD Single glass door system for a maximum product display area SCHOTT Termofrost SGD is an energyfree system designed especially for commercial cooler cabinets for dairy products or beverages in food retail stores. SCHOTT Termofrost SGD is a frameless glass door system. Slim, full-glass doors offer a 180 view of the goods inside a cooling cabinet. Horizontal fixation profiles support the doors at both the top and bottom for maximum visibility of the products stored. Energy Saving Solutions Each SCHOTT Termofrost product aims to improve the eco-friendly characteristics of cooling units for the food retail industry. SCHOTT Termofrost SGD combines attractive product display and safe food storage for cooled products. Regulatory requirements that pertain to food storage can be met much more easily because a closed cabinet prevents the temperatures inside a cooler cabinet from changing that significantly. At the same time, a cabinet closed with SCHOTT Termofrost SGD can save up to 50% energy compared to an open cabinet.

Key features of the system The system consists of a pair of doors (total width: 1250 mm), and lower and upper profiles. Single pane door solution based on 6mm safety glass (according to EN 12150) Stainless steel hinges. Two types of handles: Stainless steel handle for easy and ergonomic opening of the door or a grip hole in the glass door for better visibility. Zero-energy consumption for heating the door. The system is equipped with a magnet-damper system for safe and smooth door closing movements. Gravity self-closing function when opened up to 70. Hold-open function at an angle of between 70 to max.90 for safe and easy refilling of products. Transparent edge protection on the handle side. Designed to fit common multi-deck refrigerator cabinets. The system is available in both standard and customized sizes and configurations. Available options SCHOTT CONTURAN Our special anti-reflective glass CONTURAN reduces reflections down to a minimum to offer customers a clear view of the goods on display and upgrade the entire look of the store. Fluorescent tubes and LED lighting The wide visibility that frameless glass doors create is enhanced by proper illumination. We offer fluorescent tubes and LED lighting systems that can be mounted on the horizontal profiles of the frame. Fluorescent T5 tubes The fluorescent tubes represent the solution of choice for illuminating the shelves of cooling cabinets. LED lighting LED light sources are being used more and more often in food displays now that people are realizing that using LEDs means lower energy consumption, a wider range of color temperatures and extra-long lifespans. They also represent an energy-efficient technology for a positive energy balance because LEDs emit less heat and consume considerably less energy than fluorescent tubes.
