2 Annexure-1 Machine Description: 5-axis machining in a single set-up with moving column concept or equivalent with a swivel-rotary or pivoting with pre-loaded roller bearingtable,compact machine design, cooling system to all the core components such as spindle, ball screw nuts, guide-ways and table bearing. The axes configuration shall be X, Y, Z (Linear axes), B & C (Swivelling/Tilting and Rotary respectively). Axis B is meant for swivelling/ tilting & Axis C is meant for rotation of work piece. Control should be app based which leads to a smart, paperless shop floor, with LCD touch screen of size 20 inch, built in calculator for power and torque requirements for various operations, System should be capable of controlling feed rate at corners with look ahead feature and a high block processing speed. 3 11 Programming & control features System should have features like bell shaped acceleration/ deceleration, jerk free positioning. Basic setup of the machine (Positioning, Tool change, Spindle ON/OFF and plane transformation etc.) should be possible in Manual / Jog mode DIN/ISO and CAPS programming with online graphic help should be standard and following options are must On-board servo and drive optimization should be possible. On-board maintenance and service tools should be available. Access control should be possible with different levels for operators, supervisors, programmers and maintenance personnel Program management and tool management functions should be standard and user friendly.
