1 ReciPure System ReciPure The Mix Factory of the Future.

2 Mobile Containers Instead of Stationary Hoppers, The ReciPure System from Reimelt is the answer to the quickly changing market requirements in the food and chemical industries: A mixing system, based on mobile containers, that providesconsiderable advantages when compared to conventional systems with fixed pipes. Absolute Product Security With the ReciPure System, the raw materials are subject to 100 % automated control - from storage to identification, independent from the operator. Quality controls can be carried out after every single production step. 1 Maximum Flexibility In the ReciPure System, batch containers move on an automatically guided vehicle (AGV) with an integrated scaling system below the storage level. Consequently, the production process is much more flexible. The maneuverable, computer controlled containers allow the handling of various recipes simultaneously. The production of intermediate products reduces the production time and storage requirements. In contrast to a conventional system with pipes, the ReciPure System allows cleaning parallel to the production process. Thus, uneconomical down-time of the mixing system can be reduced drastically. A quality loss of the products is practically excluded because the raw materials have very little contact with air and their turnaround and storage times are reduced to a minimum. Quick reaction time to changing market requirements through High flexibility Multiple recipes at the same time Short production time through intermediate products Cleaning parallel to production 2. The stock in store can be reduced because of High flexibility of production Production by means of intermediate products (pre-mixes) 3. No loss of product quality through Limited contact with air Exclusion of impurities caused by cross-contamination Low degree of "aging" by minimum throughput times in production and warehouse 4. No separation of the production lines required Reduced number of equipment components Single raw material storage for multiple products/recipes 5. Product safety through 100 % automatic monitoring from filling of the raw materials to warehousing to the identification of the goods to be supplied Independent from the operator involvement

5 ReciPure - Means High Flexibility. 4 5 Future Oriented Hygienic Design The pipeless production of mixes meets even the most stringent hygienic requirements, e.g. handling of products with extreme variations in taste and colour or allergy generating substances, because the ReciPure Containersystem eliminates cross contamination. Automatic Tracking of Batches The ReciPure System allows for the identification and tracking of batches, thus fulfilling the EG regulation 178/2000 for tracking of raw materials. Safe Investment for the Future ReciPure is a safe basis for effective production processes - particularly in the long run. The container system is extremely flexible and can be adapted to the ever changing market requirements. The mixing system can be extended and adapted to new production lines without any modification of the equipment because the raw materials can be changed without problems and thus new recipes can easily be added. Fur-thermore, the ReciPure System saves personnel and energy costs and reduces cleaning requirements. 6 Stringent Observation of Legal Standards The ReciPure System fulfills all important international laws, from the consumer information law (VerbIG) to the regulations of the American FDA. Picture 4: Components are gathered and weighed fully automatically by the AGV Picture 5: Storage of finished components with containers in discharge position Picture 6: Container mixer with docked container (right) Quality control can be carried out at any location (receiving, intermediate and final checking) 6. Cross-contamination is prevented, important for: Genetically altered products Protein, protein-free products Kosher, non-kosher products Diet, allergen-free foods, organic products Nutrition, health food 7. Identification and tracking of batches Batch tracking Legally required identification 8. Fulfillment of regulatory standards, e.g. Consumer information regulations Product safety regulations "Weißbuch" for food safety (EU) HACCP EHEDG FDA (USA) 9. Future oriented investment Easier exchange of raw materials Addition of new recipes without redesign possible Easy expansion possibilities 10. Savings through Lower personnel costs Lower energy costs Lower cleaning requirements

6 Batch Tracking RP / E Transparent Production - More Than Consumer Protection. The Traceability of Batches and Raw Materials is Becoming Increasingly More Important In food production a continuous transparency of production processes has already become a quality and competition factor. As a reaction to the food scandals of the past few years, the EU has passed the regulation 178/2002. The goal is to identify the faulty products quickly and eliminate them. Furthermore, a transparent production enables the recognition of deviations in the product properties and therefore offers a far more constant product quality. The main idea behind traceability is that all raw materials that are used in the production of food - also packaging or filter materials - are exactly identifiable and this information, along with the food production dates, are stored for later evaluation. This is achieved through both, lot and supplier identification numbers. Because raw materials are also stored and moved in a production plant, it is much safer to identify them just before adding them to the process and to store the data for traceability. Reimelt system controls offer a variety of possibilities from batch detail reporting to traceability. In the later case, data is available for the process management level or directly evaluated in the Reimelt system. Therefore, the evaluation not only comprises single-level production processes, but also production of intermediate products and pre-mixes in a multi-level production. The open architecture of the batch management system PrismaWEB enables the traceability necessary for the interfacing of bar code readers, mixer controls, MES systems etc. With this structure, PrismaWEB offers many possibilities for data exchange from simple binary signal exchange to the MES connection over a network.
