MAC Bleachers Saturday, February 25 Activity Location 8am Noon Judge JAM Show Divisions 1 6 MAC, CB & Start will be announced over PA Break for Lunch will be announced over PA 8am - Noon Judge Ag Mechanics Sales Competition & Marketplace Start will be announced over PA Break for Lunch will be announced over PA 9:00am-6:00pm 9:00am-5:00pm 9am - Noon Ag Mechanics Marketplace Open Sealed bidding on marketplace projects accepted. Students are encouraged to interact with general public and potential bidders to promote their product. Ag Mechanics Trade Show All students are encouraged to visit the Trade Show as companies share information about their brand and/or possible employment opportunities. **Register at the Trade Show for a chance to win great prizes provided by our great participating companies. Goody Bag Distribution to Schools Distribution will be done in Groups by School Name i.e. (A-E), (F-G) which will be announced over PA. **Only 1-2 persons including the CEA or AST must come to office to claim bags. Sunday, February 26 Activity Location 6:30am 9am 9am - Noon 10:30am Immediately After Awards All Trailer, Multibale & Tractor Projects Move Out to Lot 5 Behind Morris & Swine Barn **Exhibitors of these projects must ensure all materials are removed from their areas Saturday after Judging to facilitate. Awards Presentation Trade Show Prizes will also be awarded during Awards Presentation. Pre-Release Tractor Projects are encouraged to send their driver to Salado for staging. All JAM Show Exhibitors Released and Move Out All Vehicles will go to Salado lot for release. (See Check -Out Instructions) MAC, CB, & Lot 5 Awards Area Salado Salado, MAC, CB, & Lot 5 Immediately After All Marketplace Auction Participants and Items Awards Remain in place in preparation for 1:00 pm auction. 1pm Ag Mechanics Marketplace Auction =Swine Barn, MAC=Morris Activity Center, CB=Cattle Barn

3 Welcome to the 2017 Junior Agricultural Mechanics Show! Check-In Procedures, February 24, 2017 PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY: 1. Upon entering the Salado Lot you will be directed into the Welcoming Line. 2. Please remain in your vehicle until you are provided a Trailer Release Form. a. **Each vehicle delivering a project(s) MUST have a completed Trailer Release Form. This form will also need to accompany the same vehicle at Sunday Check-Out.** b. All vehicles will also be given a lettered Project Type Card. 3. You will be released out of the Welcoming Line and directed into a corresponding Project Type Line based on your card: a. X Tractor H - Hand Unload F - Fork Unload T Trailer/DOT Inspection Line A Auction O Oversize b. **Please keep the lettered Project Type Card visible on your dash. You will also need this card visible for Check-Out** c. **All trailers & rolling stock will need to go thru DOT** All trailers and rolling stock (projects that have rubber tire wheels and will be pulled on public roads) will be inspected at the new Salado Creek Lot. 4. Once in a Project Type Line, AST/CEA must immediately go to the Check-In Tent with the completed Trailer Release Form(s) to obtain Exhibitor Card(s). a. You must inform Check-In of any No-Show projects. b. Any Exhibitor ADD/REMOVE EXHIBITOR forms or PROJECT SUBSTITUTION forms must be completed and signed by AST/CEA. The AST/CEA will document the reason if they are dropping student(s) from a project (i.e. ineligibility, did not work on project, etc.) Each Add/Remove Exhibitor form is for a single project only and will add/remove student(s) from any scholarship eligibility for that particular project should it qualify. Below outlines the scenarios, documentation and any associated fees: Teacher would like to remove exhibitor - Teacher would fill out the top half of the Add/Drop Form - No fee for making this move at any time Teacher would like to add an exhibitor - Teacher would fill out bottom half of the Add/Drop Form - An additional $40 fee will be charged Teacher would like to keep the same exhibitors on a project, but change the class of the project - Teacher would fill out 2017 Project Sub. Form - Additional $40 fee will be charged, **Classification Panel makes FINAL decision on class of all projects** Teacher would like to add an exhibitor AND change the class of the project - Teacher would fill out Add/Drop Form first and then the 2017 Project Substitution Form - An additional $80 fee would be charged ($40 for adding an exhibitor plus $40 for changing the class of the project). 5. Return to your vehicle after Check-In and remain there until directed. **Keep Exhibitor Cards with Projects** 6. All Trailers, pulled BBQ pits and Rolling Stock will be directed out of project line to DOT Station a. You must have Exhibitor Cards prior to DOT Inspection b. After DOT Inspection, you will be directed to return to your project line. 7. All Non-DOT project vehicles wait in Project Line. 8. In order to receive laminated Ticket to East Gate card, you must have all of the following: a. Lettered Project Type Card visible on your dash b. Exhibitor Cards for all projects with the vehicle c. Trailer Release completed d. DOT Inspection, if necessary (Orange Tag attached to All Rolling Stock indicates completed DOT) e. Please activate your vehicle s FOUR-WAY FLASHERS to indicate you have completed all steps above and are ready for project review by the Classification Committee. 9. You will be given a laminated Ticket to East Gate card and will be directed to the Classification Committee. 10. Projects will be reviewed for proper classification by the Classification Committee, which will have FINAL decision on class placement, and will verify that you have all materials listed in Step 8. Classification Committee will then release you from Salado to East Gate. 11. After entering East Gate on the Stock Show grounds: a. As you approach the Morris Center and Swine Barn stay in the main load-in line along the fence to the left. Regulations require that a Fire Lane must remain clear (an unobstructed lane between the main load-in line and Morris Center/Swine & Cattle Barns). b. Tractor Unloading: You will be directed into Lot 5 to unload. c. Show Trailer and All Other Project Unloading: Remain in the main load-in line and you will be directed where to unhook or to an appropriate unloading area. d. Once in the unloading area, exhibitors, ASTs/CEAs etc. are encouraged to solicit the assistance of the Ag Mechanics committee for project unloading and placement. **Do Not Leave Vehicles Unattended.** e. Please limit the number of chase vehicles accompanying the project(s). There is limited space. 12. Once unloaded, please proceed to East Gate exit immediately with your transport vehicle and/or trailer. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES: Safety First Our Committee Goal is to get you unloaded and into the barn as safely and quickly as possible. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended in the staging lines or at the unloading area. IT CAN AND WILL BE TOWED! Please keep fire lanes open! Thank you for your patience! 4 Thanks for Participating in the 2017 Junior Agriculture Mechanics Show! Check Out Procedures, February 26, 2017 Please read the following carefully: 1. Sunday, 6:30 am All Trailer, Multi-bale Oversize & Tractor Projects will be moved out to Lot 5 on the north side of Morris Center & Swine Barn. a. Exhibitors of these projects MUST REMOVE ALL MATERIALS from their areas Saturday after judging is complete for unobstructed move out. b. Tractor Project Exhibitors, please be available to ensure your Tractor is moved out prior to 9:00 am. 2. Pre-Release 10:30 am Sunday Tractor Projects are encouraged to send their driver to Salado for staging. 3. Exhibitors immediately after Awards: a. MARKETPLACE AUCTION participants and ITEMS will remain in Swine Barn for AUCTION. b. JAM Show exhibitors proceed immediately to the Salado Lot for staging. c. If you have a transport trailer, hook up immediately then proceed to staging lines. All other vehicles will proceed immediately to staging lines. Follow committee direction. 4. All Trailer Release Forms will be validated (stamped) at Salado. a. You will be unable to exit Salado or enter East Gate to load your projects without your stamped Trailer Release. b. You will not be able to exit East Gate after loading without your stamped Trailer Release. 5. Vehicles loading Tractors (vehicles marked with an X ) will be released from Salado as soon as they are ready. Vehicle driver: After Salado pickup, you will have your Trailer Release Form validated, you will then be staged and among the initial vehicles released to East Gate to load. 6. Drivers hauling or pulling all other projects will be staged according to the Project Type Cards and window demarcation given at Check-In: X Tractor H - Hand load F - Fork load T Trailer O - Oversize **You will need your Project Type Card from Check-In. Please keep it visible on your dash** 7. Vehicles will be provided a laminated Ticket to East Gate Card and be released from Salado Project Lines to East Gate by Committee Member. 8. After entering East Gate on the Stock Show grounds: a. As you approach the north side of the Morris Center and Swine Barn stay in the main load-out line along the fence to the left. Regulations require that a Fire Lane must remain clear (an unobstructed lane between the main load-out line and the Morris Center/Swine Barn). **DO NOT LEAVE VEHICLE UNATTENDED** b. Show Trailer or Multi-Bale project pickup, you will enter Lot 5 to hookup to your project and exit the lot. Should you have additional projects to load, proceed out of East end of Lot 5 and merge back into main loadout line and you will be directed to an appropriate load-out area. c. Tractor and Oversize projects, you will enter Lot 5 and load in the same area used for unloading on Friday. Should you have additional projects to load, proceed out of East end of Lot 5 and merge back into main loadout line at the Morris Center and Swine Barn. d. All Others Projects to be loaded continue in main load-out line and you will be directed to an appropriate load-out area. 9. Once loaded and secured, please leave loading area and proceed to the East Gate exit immediately. OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES: Remember Safety First Our Committee Goal is to get you loaded and on your way as safely and quickly as possible. When in the main load-out line, loading area or Lot 5, please do not leave your vehicle unattended, IT CAN BE TOWED. Please pay attention to the Fire Lanes because it is extremely important that these remain open while in line or loading. Thank you in advance for your patience! 5 Ag Mechanics Trade Show Thank you to our Trade Show Title Sponsors: Urban Concrete Contractors & Urban Land Clearing & Compost! All Trade Show participants are contributors to JAM Show 2017, please be sure to say Thank You as you visit them. All exhibitors and instructors are cordially invited to visit the Trade Show. Visit each Trade Show participant and inquire to win great prizes! Check in at the JAM Show Committee Table adjacent to the Trade Show to receive proof of attendance card, before visiting the Trade Show participants. Details will provided on how to become eligible for more great prizes! The Trade Show will be open: Friday, Noon to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Attending the Trade Show will enhance the JAM Show experience by further educating exhibitors, connecting them with potential career opportunities and other great information. Exhibitors attending the Trade Show with proof of attendance to each Trade Show Booth will be entered for prizes awarded by JAM Show Committee and our generous Trade Show partners. The prize drawings will be held during the Sunday Awards Presentation. Drawing winners must be present at the JAM Show Awards to win. DO NOT MISS YOUR CHANCE AT GREAT PRIZES! TURN IN YOUR PROOF OF ATTENDANCE CARD BY 5:30 PM, SATURDAY All AST, CEA, AND EXHIBITORS are ELIGIBLE JAM Show Committee suggests exhibitors plan to attend the Trade Show on Friday, as time allows, and immediately following the official judging of your project. Exhibitors will not be judged for Showmanship while attending the Trade Show. Please make the best use of your time and be sure to visit all booths! This is not an excuse to leave your project unattended after you are judged. Be sure you return to your project after visiting the Trade Show to be judged for Showmanship!

This is a completely complimentary gift for you, our participants and instructors, as a Thank You for your efforts and participation in our JAM Show. Brake & Alignment and the Truck Accessory Outlet Proceed over 3 sets of ACTIVE railroad tracks and into the lot TO EXIT THE LIVESTOCK STAGING LOT (SALADO CREEK PROPERTY) From the Livestock Staging Lot exit onto Creekview Drive LIVESTOCK STAGING LOT INFORMATION Livestock Staging Lot will be open twenty-four hours a day for your convenience No animal projects may be unloaded at the Livestock Staging Lot at any time Each vehicle must have a representative who remains at the Livestock Staging Lot at all time No open flames or BBQ Pits will be allowed at the Livestock Staging Lot Tacks trucks must obtain a staging credential before entering the East Gate. Show management reserves the right to determine what constitutes an acceptable tack truck
