1 Packaging efficiency at ProSweets 2018 LoeschPack presents efficient packaging systems for hermetically sealed fold wrapping and flow packs (Altendorf/Cologne, 27 November 2017) At ProSweets, which will take place from January 2018 in Cologne parallel to international confectionery trade show ISM, packaging machine manufacturer LoeschPack will demonstrate its expertise as a system provider for integrated packaging lines for chocolate, chewing gum, and confectionery. LoeschPack is presenting its latest development in the area of hermetically sealed fold wrapping in Cologne: the RCB-HS wrapping head machine. This innovative development is ideal for small chocolate products, combining a hermetically sealed pack style with a traditional fold wrap appearance. Pioneering in this market segment, said Cord in praise of the latest product developed by LoeschPack. The CEO of the mechanical engineering firm in Upper Franconia added: The RCB-HS packages chocolate bars, tablets and neapolitans in a new and innovative way, giving them a premium look and at the same time ensuring excellent product protection against environmental influences. Consumers can enjoy products with longer shelf lives and improved taste and texture. The chocolate products are presented in a premium fold wrap look. With top output of up to 600 products per minute, the RCB-HS in this combination is unique in the chocolate sector, emphasized Cord. The machine produces the fold wrap in one wrapping head and hot-seals the pack circumferentially. The heat bars always seal film against film, ensuring extremely tight packaging and preventing damage to the products. Next, folding elements produce the classical fold wrap. The RCB-HS is precisely tailored to the requirements of sophisticated chocolate manufacturers that want to present their products at PoS in a premium look and require high system efficiency and format flexibility, but refuse to settle for less than perfect hygiene. The F-Series for top flow wrapping performance The high-performance F-Series platform for packaging chocolate, wafers and chewing gum in flow packs is another of LoeschPack s exhibits at ProSweets Our F-Series flow pack system solutions represent top performance, outstanding overall equipment effectiveness and excellent format flexibility combined with low packaging costs, said Cord. Brief format changeover times of less than 15 minutes and a high cycle rate at top efficiency yield high performance in production halls. Every setting can be precisely reproduced, guaranteeing stable machine operation after a very short time. Intelligent process engineering for the seal modules means fewer rejects when stopping and starting the packaging machine. The F-Series detects the existing product supply in the feeder, adjusting cycle speed and seal pressure to it. This adaptive seal pressure management is one of the main advantages of the flow wrapping machine and since the series was launched in 2015, has been a standard feature of the longitudinal sealing rollers. From 2018, the technology will also be available for horizontal sealing. This will help our customers to boost machine efficiency and packaging quality to approach the optimum, said Cord. The F-Series is almost completely resistant to fluctuating ambient conditions. This is achieved by a unique flow wrapping machine configuration in the feeder. Depending on ambient parameters such as temperature, humidity and the specific product characteristics, the F-Series independently controls the optimal feed of the products to the lug chain. As a result, the machine runs much more smoothly and with fewer faults, even at top cycle outputs of up to 1,500/min.
