2 Shiphandling Seminar The Full Mission Shiphandling simulator utilizes a main bridge with 270 visual view and three bridges with a 120 view angle. The Transas NTPRO 5000 DNV class A certified simulator enables highly realistic manoeuvres complying all STCW standards and above. Navigational equipment consists of Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) with real hardware devices from different manufacturers to provide realistic training environment for various courses including bridge familiarization: Sperry Marine Northrop Grumman Raytheon Anschütz Transas Jeppesen Marine A wide spectrum of different vessels, areas and scenarios is available for advanced shiphandling training in varying environmental conditions. The newest simulation technology is capable to feature following training issues: Anchor handling Tug handling Mooring operations Realistic wind & current effects Squat effects Hydrodynamic effects Manoeuvring in shallow water Parametric rolling Lock manoeuvres Ship-to-ship interaction 1

3 ECDIS simulator An IT classroom for training and education of ECDIS and the entire product portfolio of INTERSCHALT Software Solutions. Different ECDIS systems are stimulated by the simulation to provide highly realistic and practical based training scenarios in various learning objectives. Type specific training is the decisive motivation and customer benefit. Following systems are available for ECDIS training: Sperry Marine Northrop Grumman VisionMaster FT Sperry Marine Northrop Grumman VMS Raytheon Anschütz Pathfinder Transas Navisailor Jeppesen Marine Oceanv Cargo & Fleet Management, Vessel Monitoring The MET offers product & customer specific trainings for Cargo and Fleet Management and Vessel Monitoring user like ship or shore based personnel. Topics like ship stability for various types of vessels and technical ship operation and management are being discussed during these seminars. Engine Room Simulator The Engine Room Simulator comprises a full installation of a vessels control room, consisting electrical power and distribution switchboards, emergency switchboard and automation systems. All devices and components are fully realistic enclosed in a real power simulation. Full mission simulation can be applied by linking and connecting the engine control room to the navigational simulator for coupled engine & bridge team / resource management seminars. 2

4 GMDSS Transas networked TGS-4100 GMDSS simulator is a high level software product designed for the training and certification of the beginners and experienced sea navigators. The MET integrates the GMDSS simulator, consisting of 3 instructor workstations and 4 training workstations, into each of it s trainings on all 4 bridge simulators. If required, the participants can switch from the group operation mode to the standalone mode. The IS Fleet Operation Center is today meeting the future demands of operational fleet efficiency and safety of the maritime industry. It combines the advantages of the VDR and BLUETRACKER perfectly to a nautical and technical supervision system. The FOC unites the following benefits: Accident prevention system Corridor planning and control Real time tracking via shore based replay software Increased efficiency in ship operations Online Data from fleet operations Decision-making support via shore-based data analysis 3

5 IT Room The MET offers a fully equipped IT room for up to 12 participants. It can be used individually for different software trainings like ECDIS, cargo- and fleet management and vessel monitoring. The IT room is equipped with: Beamer & overhead projector PCs for up to 12 participants Instructor station Air condition Daylight with dimming Seminar and Conference Rooms All of our seminar rooms can be used flexible for different type of trainings, seminars, meetings, conferences or even different kinds of events. Additionally we care for our participants and guests with our full service package.
