1 Expression of Interest for Supply and Installation of Laboratory Furniture For and on behalf of Vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, Expression of Interest (EOI) is invited from the registered and reputed furniture manufacturers having well established furniture manufacturing plant for design, supply and installation of modular laboratory furniture to the Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora Pulwama. The EOI documents may be obtained from the office of Member Secretary Purchase Committee for furniture, furnishing and miscellaneous items or can be downloaded from the University website: and to be submitted by or before (2.00pm). The EOI, should be accompanied by DD of Rs. 5,000/- (non-refundable) favouring Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora Pulwama (J&K) as cost of the tender document. 2 Note 1: The Bidders are expected to go through all instructions, terms & condition as specified in the bidding documents. Failure to furnish complete required information or submission of a bid with incomplete information may result in rejection of the bid. Note 2: Bidders are advised to visit the site to familiarize themselves with the site conditions. Note 3: As this is a new building not yet occupied, installation work can be done over two or three shifts. Eligibility Criteria a) Should have well established office furniture manufacturing plant in India having in house state of art furniture manufacturing facilities (Attach relevant documents). b) Should have at least five year experience in design, manufacturing, supply and installation of furniture (Attach Experience proof documents e.g. supply orders, work completion certificate, etc.). c) Should have had average financial turnover of at least Rs lacs in furniture segment during the last three financial years (Attach certificate on prescribed format). Registration, if any, with specified departments Organizations, class / type of registration or previous pre- qualification(s) for similar projects. Scope of EOI In general EOI shall evaluate as following: Stage-I i) Call of Expression of Interest (EOI) directly from the reputed manufacturer of furniture having well established office manufacturing plant in India for design, supply, and installation of laboratory furniture. ii) Interested bidders have to submit the EOI along with, design of laboratory furniture, for the specific areas as per requirements projected by the University along with detailed specifications of the furniture. iii) Bidders not submitting designs/detailed specifications shall not be entertained. iv) Eligible bidders shall be asked for presentations of the quoted layouts, designs of laboratory furniture. Stage-2: i) Financial Bids shall be invited from bidders whose designs/layouts are selected by the committee constituted for the purpose. On the basis of the rate, requisite quality and specifications, the contract shall be awarded. SUBMISSION OF EOI The EOI duly completed and signed shall be submitted in a sealed cover. The sealed cover upper-scribed EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF LABORATORY FURNITURE AT ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY shall be addressed to the Member Secretary Purchase Committee for furniture, furnishing and miscellaneous items Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora Pulwama and shall be submitted on or before 25/08/ pm in two covers as detailed below: Cover A should contain the following: = EOI VALIDITY a. Registration Certificate. b. GST Registration. c. EMD of Rs /- in shape of FDR valid for three years. d. DD of Rs. 5000/- (Documents fee) e. Turn over certificate (Annexure-1). f. Copy of PAN card. g. Experience proof documents (supply orders, etc.) The EOI submitted shall remain valid for acceptance for a period of 90 days from the date of opening of EOI.

3 GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. Submission of bid under this EOI shall mean that the bidder has accepted all the terms and conditions laid down in the tender document. No enquiry, whether verbal or written, shall be entertained in this behalf. 2. Prices shall be quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) only. 3. The amount is required to be quoted both in figures and in words, in case of a discrepancy, the amount quoted in words will be taken as final. 4. The supply, transportation etc. of the items will be sole responsibility and at the risk of the firm till the acceptance by the University. 5. The supply of items should be made strictly in accordance with the selected sample. 6. The warranty period takes effect from the date of acceptance of the items by the University. 7. All the items supplied through this EOI shall be covered by a warranty of three years. During the period of warranty, no charges will be paid by the University on any kind of service or repairs carried out by the supplier. 8. The amount payable against supplies shall be subject to the deduction of applicable Taxes. 9. The supply has to be made within a time period mentioned in the supply order issued by the University. In case of failure to do so, the University may impose the penalty as may be decided by the University Committee. 10. All the supplies made under this tender notice will be inspected by a Committee specially constituted for the purpose and in case the Committee is of the opinion that the supplies are not of the required specifications, the supplies shall be rejected and responsibility of lifting back the supplies will devolve on the supplier. Besides, in such event, the EMD shall stand forfeited and the extra cost incurred in arranging the supply from the alternative sources shall also be recovered from the defaulting supplier apart from initiating the proceedings for blacklisting. 11. The rates will remain valid for supply of Items till 31 st March, The University reserves the right to reject or accept any Proposal without assigning any reason or cancel or withdraw the EOI. The University reserves the right to relax any condition enumerated or arising out of this EOI, without assigning any reason/s thereof. If the supply of the required items are not affected before the specified period, the University shall have the authority to cancel the order or to take any action deemed fit in the circumstances. 13. In case of any dispute the jurisdiction will be courts at Srinagar only. 14. The EMD may be forfeited: (b) If a Bidder withdraws its bid during the period of bid validity. (c) If at any stage it is proven that the information given by the bidder is incorrect. (d) In case of a successful Bidder, if the Bidder fails: - to execute the supply within the stipulated time. - if the items are not as per the specifications. 15.The University may, for any reason, whether suo-moto or in response to a clarification requested by a prospective bidder, modify the bidding documents by an amendment, any time prior to the last date for submission of bids. 16. Quotations received after due date, improperly sealed, or with incomplete marking or with overwriting/corrections are liable to be rejected. 17. During evaluation of bids, the University may, at its discretion, ask the Bidder for a clarification of its bid. The request for clarification and the response shall be in writing and no change in prices or substance of the bid shall be sought, offered or permitted. 18. The evaluation of financial bids will be based on the landing cost of the item at the University including all the taxes, levies, freight, insurance, forwarding, installation, transportation and assembling and commission charges etc. The quoted rates should be final and any extra amount over and above the quoted rates shall not be entertained. 19. Failure of the successful bidder to comply with the requirements of the University shall constitute sufficient ground for the annulment of the award and forfeiture of the bid security, in which event the University may make the award to the next lowest bidder or call for new bids. In case the above information is found incorrect at any stage, the University may take appropriate action as warranted and also we have gone through the terms and conditions stipulated in the Tender Document and confirm to abide by the same.
