3 First-class Sales, Service and Engineering Support Customer Service, Sales and Engineering Each Rotork Factory Store is staffed with sales, contracts, and manufacturing engineers that will guide you in selecting the right actuator to meet your application and specifications. Service support is provided through Rotork Site Services (RSS) regional managers and service coordinators that manage the myriad of activity that results from a strong Rotork installed user base. Each region includes 7-10 outside service technicians, as well as skilled shop technicians trained to service all Rotork actuators. Our sales team consists of both outside and inside sales personnel. Area Sales Managers (ASM) are located throughout each region to direct sales activities, working with Rotork s authorized manufacturing representatives and distributors. ASMs bring years of experience to the marketplace to effectively address customer requirements. In addition, our inside sales engineers are well versed in sizing actuator solutions for all types of applications. Engineering capabilities are provided by manufacturing engineers skilled in the knowledge of many valve types and applications to enable us to recommend solutions and design adaption hardware. Our engineers within the Factory Stores support field network design to assist with troubleshooting those types of projects during start-up activities. Full Service Valve Automation Shop The careful assembly of valve and actuator is critical to ensure that an automated valve performs correctly and reliably. While this service is often provided by a valve manufacturer, there is a growing need for actuators to be installed on valves after they have left the valve manufacturer's factory. Our Factory-Fit service is designed to meet this need. Whether it is helping a local valve distributor provide an actuated valve solution to their customer or managing the supply of a large quantity of automated valves on a major project for a contractor or end-user, we are equipped to meet your requirements. With our complete range of electric and fluid-power valve actuators we can automate all valve types regardless of the available power supply. Working with the engineer responsible for the specification, we select the correct actuator type and size based on the basic valve data and the plant operational criteria. Our local design team at the Factory Store then engineer the components needed to modify the valve so that the actuator can be mounted. Finally, a test certificate will be supplied with each unit and the entire assembly will be properly packaged and shipped for safe delivery to the end destination. Redefining Flow Control 3

4 First-class Sales, Service and Engineering Support Valve Adaption Design The design of an adaption kit may be based on a certified drawing of the valve, or more commonly on dimensions taken directly from the actual valve after it is delivered to us. If required, we can produce drawings showing the complete valve and actuator assembly to enable our customer to verify the correct orientation and ensure that there is sufficient space available for installation. Once the adaption kit has been manufactured, it is installed onto the valve by our factory-trained technicians who then install the actuator and perform a full range of functional tests on the finished assembly. In-House & Field Service Each Factory Store employs both in-house and regional field service technicians. This allows us the flexibility required to effectively support all our customer's service needs. We only use original parts as ensuring the continued operation of Rotork actuators is of critical importance. Additionally, all our technicians hold all appropriate safety qualifications and we ensure that all work is carried out correctly. We provide a 12-month warranty on all our work. We also provide regional field service response for electric, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators including those in hazardous environments such as nuclear and off-shore installations. Our support can either be planned or in response to an emergency situation. In-house Services In-house actuator repair Certified torque testing In-house training programs Actuator upgrades and modifications Actuator demonstration units available for loan to system integrators and engineers Inspection and repair of damaged/deteriorating actuators Field Services Installation and commissioning of actuators to ensure they are set up correctly Installation and commissioning of field network systems Emergency repair of actuators Inspection and repair of damaged/deteriorating actuators Systems integration support Site-specific customer training 4

5 First-class Sales, Service and Engineering Support Actuator Overhaul and Re-certification Upon receiving an actuator for overhaul we perform a complete inspection and produce a report of what work is required to fully refurbish it. This report and a quote for the work will be sent to you within a week of the actuators arrival. Upon receipt of an order, we can typically complete the work and dispatch the unit back to you within a week. Quicker turnarounds can often be achieved when required but some can take up to four weeks due to the need for special coatings to be renewed or special original parts obtained. Items covered with an overhaul include the following: Complete tear-down, cleaning and inspection Oil seals, O-rings, bearings, exterior bolts, and oil are replaced New Rotork standard paint applied Complete functional bench test Torque testing to factory specifications and re-certification on a production test rig Field Retrofit and Installation Rotork has vast experience in fitting actuators to valves, sluice gates or dampers that are already installed as part of existing plants. Whether you are replacing obsolete actuators, changing power source or motorizing manual valves, we are able to offer tailor-made solutions designed to comply with your exact requirements. Retrofitting actuators to valves in the line is a safe and cost effective solution that minimizes plant disruption. Working from basic valve data we are able to offer a full sizing service that matches actuator models to the valves' requirements. We carry out full and detailed site surveys, collecting all data needed to design the mechanical components required to mount the new actuator to the existing valve. Where space or access is an issue, safe remote-drive solutions can be engineered using extended spindles, pedestals and drive adaptors. We use proven methodologies and sound design processes throughout. Ease of installation and maximum reliability of the whole installation are guaranteed with all work covered by a full Rotork warranty. Our design service is backed by a factory-trained installation team to mechanically install, and commission the actuators as well as assist with the integration into the plant control system. 6 Predictive & Preventive Maintenance Programs Rotork actuators are designed and built to last an attribute that is valued by many Rotork customers who have products dating back to the 1960s and 70s still in operation. However, like all industrial plants, our actuators are often exposed to hostile environments or at times may be stressed or damaged by unpredictable events. As a result, for customers who want to maximize their plant operability, we offer health checks and preventative maintenance services. Customers who make use of these offerings find the following: The reliability of the actuators in the plant is increased Problems are found before they affect operation Overall maintenance costs decline as Rotork technicians are quicker and better at working on Rotork manufactured equipment and associated communication bus systems Small repairs are done on the spot avoiding the need for intrusive shutdowns Large repairs can be scheduled at a convenient time limiting the impact on operations Costs can be controlled and confidently predicted to allow for realistic budgeting A Tailored Offering Rotork is engaged in hundreds of health check and preventative maintenance contracts for customers throughout the world. Each contract is tailored to the specific customer's needs. For most sites our engineers visit on an as planned or annual basis to complete the preventative and follow-up maintenance. This ensures the maximum operational time for the plant and often the work is scheduled to coincide with planned plant outages. On all our preventative maintenance contracts, a further one-year warranty is given on all work provided. ¹All Rotork IQ3, IQ Mk II, and IQT actuators have built-in data loggers. Limited information is available from IQ Mk I actuators. Operational data is only available from A and AQ ranges of actuators if they are connected to a Pakscan bus system as the Pakscan system itself stores operational data. Data is available from our pneumatic and hydraulic actuators if optional data recorders are fitted. Health Checks A health check, the first step of a preventative maintenance contract, involves a detailed assessment of the actuators and the updating of the customer's actuator/valve data. Against this database we record historic information from our own manufacturing databases (e.g., build specification and date), inspection data and performance data, which over time facilitates early identification of any deterioration in performance of specific MOVs and their associated communication systems. Some customers choose to receive just this detailed health check report. In these circumstances we will record the various options to correct any observed defects including the associated costs to help customers to prioritize any remedial action and investment. The Preventative Maintenance Process When providing preventative maintenance, we carry out both intrusive and non-intrusive maintenance procedures. Data regarding the associated maintenance is recorded in the asset database so that a complete asset history can be compiled and any degradation in performance over time identified. The second step is the collection and analysis of historical operational data from the MOV (when available¹). This data is matched against the footprint torque profile for the particular MOV. Through comparing the torque profiles, common problems can be identified at an early stage of development. Similarly, bus communication systems can also be tested (pulse shape, voltage, current, resistance, leakage) and the results used to identify weaknesses which can then be rectified. 6

7 Additional Services Shutdown and Outage Support The automated process used in many industrial applications subject valves and actuators to severe operating conditions including excessive heat, water hammer, vibration and corrosion. It is paramount that the actuators used in an automated process work consistently and reliably in order to keep the plant online. Premature automated valve failures can be very costly to the plant due to downtime and are also a safety concern for those performing manual operation. Periodic plant outages or shut-downs are scheduled to overhaul or repair equipment critical to the plant process. Rotork can assist with the following: Site surveys in the months prior to an outage to ensure necessary provisions and materials are in place to enable the full scope to be completed during the shutdown Assistance with removal and preparation for transport to a Rotork Factory Store workshop Onsite repairs, limit switch adjustment and preventative maintenance checks Complete overhaul of critical units Re-installation assistance and commissioning A full report detailing all work performed per MOV tag number Systems Integration Support Allow our field service technicians and control systems specialists to work with you to properly test and integrate our actuators into your control system. In-House & Onsite Training We have standard product training classes that include both classroom and hands-on sessions. We can also tailor training to meet other specific customer requirements. Alternatively, we can provide training at a customer facility. Additional training services include: Plan submittal Course outline and syllabus Resumes of qualified Rotork Site Service technician's Course material and literature Demonstration units Redefining Flow Control 7
