PROCESSES HEAT TREATMENT We understand the heat treatment as a critical process, where our products will get required mechanical properties. We have the best facilities at our disposal, where parts are subjected to an individualized treatment with total control over the process as well as on the piece itself. Results checking after the treatment is done in our own laboratory. 5 PRODUCTS WE DESIGN, PRODUCE & TEST: WE CREATE TRUST. Manufacturing forged hooks for lifting devices is IRIZAR FORGE s main production line. This product requires a security and reliability which we can provide, through our experience and knowledge. Our work are not restricted to hooks: we also manufacture other components and whole assemblies for every kind of heavy lifting equipment. At IRIZAR FORGE we can solve any of our client s problem: we adapt our products to our client s requirements and specifications. Nuclear Hooks Single Hooks FORGED CRANE HOOKS IRIZAR FORGE does design, produce and inspect the largest range of hooks in the world. We manufacture single hooks, ramshorn crane hooks, form b type, eyehooks even quadruple hooks. We use only the highest quality raw material to forge each hook with a guaranteed grain orientation. All our hooks fulfill our client s particular requirements as well as all relevant international standards. Please feel free to order according to: An stablished design following a specific standard (e.g. DIN 15400). The client s own drawing, following its own specifications. Just give enough data to allow us to create a custom hook design. But not only hooks are used in lifting equipment.that s why IRIZAR FORGE also produces other products with the same reliable forging process and the same safety standards used in our hooks. These forgins are often critical elements such as shackles, eyebolts, swivel eyes, clevis, R.O.V. hooks, etc. they are part of complex systems where failures cannot happen. 6 Rope Sheaves Heavy Duty Blocks: Heavy duty assemblies are especially designed to withstand the extreme working conditions of for example, steel mills and smelters, ports, and hydroelectric and nuclear plants. These assemblies feature 1 sheave ( 2 falls ) or multiple sheaves. HOOK ASSEMBLIES We firmly recommend the hook full machined by the hook maker in order to double check with final load and overload tests for a full guarantee cover. Ramshorn Hook Assembly The hook assembly is made up of hook + nut + traverse + bearing; these components are precisely assembled in order to work correctly within the hook block. SHEAVES Born to be part of IRIZAR block, nowadays is firmly a single product with own character. At first we produced sheaves exclusively for use in our own IRIZAR FORGE hook block assemblies. As a result of lifting industry demand, we began to offer sheaves as an independent product and have gained an ever stronger market position. A TYPE: Single Plate Single Welded. C TYPE: Double Plate Double Welded SOLID TYPE: Free of Welding All sheaves can be furnished with the following options: Complete with roller bearings or bronze bushings. Induction hardening for higher hardness in sheaves grooves. Coated or shot blasted finish. HOOK BLOCKS This is the complete hookblock ready to set it up in the crane, useful for OEM and crane endusers to assemble directly original component with non intermediaries achieving original manufacturer certificate with full guarantee. Crane Hook Blocks Standard Crane Blocks: Capacities from 630 to 32,000 Kg. Standard blocks of established design made for manufacturers of bridge cranes, tower cranes, jib cranes and gantry cranes, among others. Custom Blocks: In this category we include block assemblies of special or custom designs not covered in the previous sections, in other words, those outside the established design practices of IRIZAR FORGE. These special block assemblies can be produced to customer drawings or under a custom IRIZAR FORGE design, in accordance with defined customer specifications.

To ensure the final result and to maintain a rejection rate below 0.1% all products are inspected: BEFORE, DURING & AFTER production. Design and Calculation, Production and Processing, Inspection and Test. These three elements of our activities are audited every month along with the rest of the quality system to guarantee maximum reliability and safety of our products. Magnetic Inspection Liquid Test As a critical, high-factor-ofsafety component in the crane, all hooks and hookrelated components are inspected individually to guarantee that they are in optimum condition for their function Load Test Bench Qualified personnel are tasked with carrying out this very important step.
