4 Creating a Fixed/Metered PM Template 1. From the AiM WorkDesk Menu select Preventive Maintenance. 2. From the Preventive Maintenance Menu select PM Template 3. Select the New icon and fill in: Template, Description, Type, Category, Status, Work Order Grouping, Type, Frequency, and Interval. Always Asset by Template 4. Add a new Template Phase by selecting the Add icon and fill in: Description, PM Standards, Funding Source, Priority, Work Code, Status, and Shop - 4 -

5 5. Load Assets to the Template Phase by selecting Load Asset. Enter an Asset number, select the Search icon, check the box next to the Asset, and select the Done icon. 6. For each Asset added, edit the Asset by selecing the Sequence 7. Fill in: Last Date (last date maintenance was performed), and Meter (Meter is the same as the Asset number)

6 8. To identify material needed for this asset and this PM Template, select the View select dropdown and PM Materials 9. To add material, select the Add icon 10. Enter Description, Generation Flag (select Pick Ticket), Quantity, Warehouse (FLEET) and Part You can use the Zoom icon to search for Parts - 6 -

7 11. Select Done icon after entering the information 12. Go back to step 9 to add additional material. When all material has been added select the Done icon on the PM Material panel, Template Asset panel and Template Phase panel 13. Once all the assets have been updated, save the PM Template by selecting the Save icon - 7 -

8 Running PM Schedule Date Generator 1. From the Preventive Maintenance Setup section select PM Schedule Date Generator 2. Enter a Generation End Date, (should be a future date 6 to 18 months out) and Template (the PM Template you just created) 3. Select the Generate Tool icon to execute the PM Schedule Data Generator - 8 -

9 Verify the Projected Dates have been generated for the assets on the PM by viewing the PM Template, then select the Template Phase by selecting the Phase number and selecting an Template Asset Sequence - 9 -

11 Adding Asset Meter Readings Note: Most meter reading should come into AiM electronicaly through the Fuel Master feed 1. From the AiM WorkDesk Menu select Asset Management. 2. From the Preventive Maintenance Menu select Asset Meter 3. Enter the Asset Meter number on the bottom right and select Filter icon

12 4. Edit the Asset Meter by selecting Edit icon 5. To add meter readings manually select Add icon

13 6. Enter the Reading Date, Reader, Verified, and Reading. Select Done icon 7. Keep adding all the meter readings for the Asset, then select Save icon

14 Creating a Preventive Maintenance Generator (Creating PM Work Orders) 1. From the AiM WorkDesk Menu select Preventive Maintenance. 2. From the Preventive Maintenance Menu select PM Generator 3. Select the New icon 4. Fill in Description, End Date, Work Order Grouping, and Template. (PM Generator should be executed for only the next 1 or 2 weeks)

15 5. To view the work order candidates that can be generated by this PM Generator select the Save icon. The work order candidates will be displayed at the bottom of the panel 6. To generate PM Work Orders, select the Generate icon. A GENERATING message will apprear on the screen until the generation process in complete

16 7. Once the generation process is complete the new Work Orders will be displayed on the PM Generator panel
