3 Current Preferences Accessed by selecting your Maintenance Activity name Current Preferences allows you to set: Printer Preferences Work Order/Sub Work Order printer preferences Team Preferences Miscellaneous Preferences Primary Equip Pool Primary Maint Loc Utilize On Base 5 Setting Maintenance Preferences To access your preferences, click the name of your activity. 6 DPAS M&U Utilization 3

4 Setting Maintenance Preferences The pop-up windows lets you switch to another Maintenance Activity, set preferences or view your assigned roles. 7 Setting Maintenance Preferences Setting your preferences can simplify data entry in several processes. 8 DPAS M&U Utilization 4

5 Recording Utilization While Profiling 9 Maintenance Asset Master Maintenance Asset Master (MAM) Asset and owner information is brought over from the PA module Profile the asset in the M&U module 10 DPAS M&U Utilization 5

6 Profiling an Asset For an asset to record utilization: The Stock Number must have a compatible Util Measure Code (i.e.: Miles) The M&U Profile must have the Maint Mgt Cd set to either: UTL Utilization MAU Maintenance and Utilization Fuel Usage can also be configured while profiling 11 Maintenance Asset Master Navigate to Maintenance > Maint Asset Master to profile assets for use within the M&U module. Search for the asset to be profiled. 12 DPAS M&U Utilization 6

7 Maintenance Asset Master Select the asset and choose Continue. 13 Maintenance Asset Master The Maint Mgt Cd must be set to MAU or UTL to record utilization. 14 DPAS M&U Utilization 7

8 Maintenance Asset Master If no utilization has been previously recorded, all the Utilization fields are available. 15 Maintenance Asset Master The Transaction Status page shows the completed updates. 16 DPAS M&U Utilization 8

9 Recording Utilization On a Work Order 17 Utilization on Work Orders Work Orders have limited capabilities for recording utilization Utilization is required when the Work Order is Closed No Util On Base or Util Off Base is recorded 18 DPAS M&U Utilization 9

10 Work Order The Current Meter Rdng field must be entered when completing a Work Order. 19 Recording Utilization During Dispatch 20 DPAS M&U Utilization 10

11 Utilization During Dispatch Utilization can be set when an asset is Issued Start Meter Reading Util On Base and Util Off Base are required Utilization must be recorded when an asset is Returned End Meter Reading Util On Base and Util Off Base are required Fuel Usage can be recorded 21 Creating a New Dispatch When creating a new dispatch, you must specify either an Equipment Pool or Asset Id prior to selecting Add. 22 DPAS M&U Utilization 11

12 Dispatch Request When a Dispatch is in the IS-Issued status, the Utilization tab displays. 23 Dispatch Utilization The default display for the Utilization tab shows the last meter reading. 24 DPAS M&U Utilization 12

13 Dispatch Utilization Selecting the Create New checkbox adds the three data entry fields. Note: The sum of Util On Base and Util Off Base must equal the difference between the Start Mtr Rdng and Last Mtr Rdng. 25 Dispatch Return When an asset is returned, you have the option to record the final meter reading. 26 DPAS M&U Utilization 13

15 Record Utilization Single Asset Used to record one or more utilization entries for a single asset Mass change fields affect only those rows visible when applied Can be used to set the initial utilization for an asset without requiring Util On Base or Util Off Base Replacement Meter Reading 29 Record Utilization The Record Utilization Search Criteria page allows you to record and update of utilization for a single asset or recording utilization for multiple assets. 30 DPAS M&U Utilization 15

16 Record Utilization - Single Fields available in the mass change in the upper left depend on the profile of the asset. 31 Record Utilization - Single Select the Replacement Mtr Rdng checkbox to record your first meter reading. 32 DPAS M&U Utilization 16

17 Record Utilization - Single Moving the mouse pointer over the Asset Id displays a pop-up of the asset s basic information. 33 Record Utilization - Single Using Select an Item for Fuel Type Cd disables the other fuel entry fields. 34 DPAS M&U Utilization 17

18 Recording Utilization Multiple Assets 35 Record Utilization Multiple Assets Used to record one utilization entry for one or more assets Mass change fields affect only those rows visible when applied When selecting multiple assets, the Metered value must be the same for all assets selected 36 DPAS M&U Utilization 18

21 Record Utilization Update/Delete Used to Update or Delete one utilization entry for one asset Mass change fields affect only those rows visible when applied Utilization records created when the asset was dispatched are not available to Update or Delete until the Dispatch is completed For assets that are depreciated based on utilization, a warning is shown before the deletion page displays 41 Utilization Update/Delete Update/Delete Util has no mandatory fields when conducting a search. 42 DPAS M&U Utilization 21

22 Utilization Update/Delete Utilization records created when the asset was dispatched are not available for Update or Delete until the Dispatch is completed. 43 Utilization Update/Delete The Update page has both Previous and Next Meter Readings to assist with update of the current record. 44 DPAS M&U Utilization 22
