It provides safe and controlled insertion and retraction of probes, sensors and injection devices at pressures up to,5 psi. Over thirty years of field experience brings you the safest and most reliable retractor available. A simple clamp installs or removes the retractor in seconds. A safety release pin assures a safe, secure attachment during installation or retraction. This Retractor has been designed and field tested to comply with Cosasco s high standards for reliability and safety. The Cosasco Retractor is completely compatible with the Cosasco Retractable System of access fittings, probes, sensors and injection devices. It is also compatible with a standard " full port ball valve and nipple assembly. Insertion of the coupon holder can be adjusted to permit coupon positioning at precisely the desired point within the process. Standard lengths are available in 8, 24, 3 and 36 inches. The single tongue of the coupon holder allows the use of one or two strip coupons insulated or uninsulated. All coupon holders are supplied complete with mounting hardware for the coupons. A safety clamp assembly is recommended at pressures above PSI and temperatures above +5º F.

6 MODEL 62 Coupons The Retractable Strip (RS) coupons are manufactured to the same standards as our 2" strip coupons (see 2" system coupon bulletin for specifications). Retractable strip coupons measure /6" TH x /2" W x 3" LG (.6 x.3 x 7.6 cm) with two mounting holes. The exposed surface area is 2.99 sq. in. (9.3 sq. cm.). The Retractable Strip Scale (RSC) coupon has the same dimensions as shown for the Retractable Strip coupon; however it is drilled with a series of different sized holes to collect scale deposits. The exposed surface area is 2.85 sq. in. (8.4 sq.) 7 COSASCO RETRACTABLE SYSTEM BIO-PROBE MODEL 625 Features Pressure Rating 5 PSI (.3 MPa) Mounting ½ " Full Port Valve Minimum Temperature Rating +5 F/+26 C Material 36 SS Five Sample Elements for Analysis Meets NACE MR75 and MR3 Seal Material Teflon The bio probe is used to collect samples of bacteria in Oil and gas systems, including refineries, offshore platforms, pipelines, etc. Bacteria may be present in a system as either sessile (attached to the metal surface), or planktonic (present in the process fluid). There can be considerable differences between the types of bacteria present in either of these two forms. From a corrosion perspective, the sessile bacteria are the ones that are of primary importance since these are the ones that affect the corrosion, and the ones that must be controlled with chemical treatment. For this reason fluid samples for testing of bacteria only test for planktonic. The Model 625 Bio Probe provides a retractable means of collecting samples of bacteria in processes at pressures up to 5 PSI/.3 MPa and temperatures up to 5ºF /26ºC. Cosasco Bio Probes are used to suspend sample elements in the area to be monitored. Insertion of the bio probe can be adjusted to permit electrodes positioning at precisely the desired point within the process. Standard lengths are available in 8, 24, 3 and 36 inches. A safety clamp assembly is recommended at pressures above PSI and temperatures above +5ºF. The bio probe has five sample elements, each with an exposed frontal area of cm2. Each time a sample is required for analysis a successive element is removed and replaced with a new one, leaving the other four in place. With this successive change of elements, a longer exposure is obtained for each element, but still permits a relatively frequent sample to be taken for analysis. For example, a sample may be removed every two weeks, but each element will have a week exposure to the process fluid.
