Complete solutions that cover from handling and loading of the product to the final crate packing and palletizing, including the packaging, with the possibility of choosing from five different packaging systems. Stretch film, Horizontal Flow Pack (HFFS), Thermoforming, Traysealing and Vertical Flow Pack (VFFS).

Complete poultry on trays Packaging solutions designed for the packing of complete poultry (chicken, turkey, duck and quail) placed on preformed trays and wrapped using plastic film. The packing is done using automatic and/or semi-automatic wrapping machines. There are different types of solutions depending on the guarantee of hermetic seal, production level, product s shelf life and the required presentation. BDF PVC SSD Economic packages in stretch film. MASTERBAG FP SSF TS MAP SHRINK POLYOLEFIN Packed in modified atmosphere (MAP) to increase the shelf life of the product. Wide range of films: Stretch. Stretch and shrink. Barrier. Barrier and shrink.

Complete poultry without trays Packaging solutions designed for the packing of complete poultry (chicken, turkey, duck and quail) exclusively where wrapping is done using plastic film without trays. The packing is done using horizontal automatic wrappers and there are different types of solutions depending on the guarantee of hermetic seal, production level, product s shelf life and the required presentation. Economic tray-less packages. BDF Packed in modified atmosphere (MAP) and shrink barrier film. TF SHRINK Vacuum packaging with optional modified atmosphere packing. TF VACUUM SHRINK POLYOLEFIN HORIZONTAL BOPP Economic packages with visual sight of the product.

Quartered poultry on trays Packaging solutions designed for the packing of quarters and parts of poultry placed on preformed trays using plastic film as a wrapping or lid. The packaging is done using horizontal automatic wrapping machines. These solutions can be used for both fresh and frozen products. FP SSF TS MAP TS SSF PVC BDF SSD TF VACUUM FLEX. TF MAP Packed in modified atmosphere (MAP) for longer shelf life of fresh products. Packages with shrink stretch film for fresh and frozen products.

Quartered poultry without trays Packaging solutions designed for the packaging of quarters and parts of poultry where the wrapping is done exclusively using plastic film without trays. The wrapping is done by using vertical and/or horizontal wrapping machines. There are different types of solutions depending on the guarantee of hermetic seal, production level, shelf life of the product and the required presentation. PE VERTICAL VERTICAL TF VACUUM Economic tray-less packages. HORIZONTAL BOPP SHRINK POLYOLEFIN Vacuum packaging or in modified atmosphere (MAP).

Prepared foods and poultry derivates Packaging solutions designed for the packing of prepared poultry foods or their derivates like pates, eggs, cold meats, duck ham, poultry burgers, brochettes, etc. HORIZONTAL BOPP TF VACUUM SHRINK POLYOLEFIN Wide range of packaging technologies for diverse products. 8 Automation of packaging lines ULMA Packaging Automation In addition ULMA offers COMPLETE SOLUTIONS including both the automation of the primary processes like: the handling, alignment, putting in order, transport, loading or dosing of products, and the secondary processes like: weighing, labelling, inspection and control, crate packing and final palletizing of your products. All supervised using Centralized Control System, offering the possibility of integration with the production software. The offer is completed with internal logistics transport systems for empty and/or full crates as well as the denesting and transport of trays. ULMA Packaging Automation has developed robotised automatic loading systems, (including artificial vision systems that allow classifying according to size, shape, colour...) automatic unloading and boxing.

Packaging types and technologies STRETCH (Stretch film) TRAYSEALING FLOW PACK (HFFS) PVC The product is placed on tray so that a stretch film wrapping machines covers the product and seals the film under the tray. This very flexible technology easily adapts to the needs of the client. It offers a hygienic and aesthetic package where the product can largely exceed the height of the tray. SSD Equal to the above with the advantage of improving the aspect of the pack because after wrapping, it passes through a heat oven to shrink the film. The result is a tray with resistant and attractive wrapping. In both cases, the wrapping can be done with printed film and labelling in order to offer information about the product and improve the aesthetics of the pack. THERMOFORMING Sealing of trays formed by automatic machines called thermoformers. The internal cavity is formed, using a roll of film, where the product is placed and then it is sealed with another film that is also the lid. VACUUM Packs made with flexible film with a vacuum in the interior that way extending the shelf life of the product. MAP Packs made with rigid or flexible film with an internal protective atmosphere in order to extend the shelf life of the product. SHRINK Packs made form shrink film with vacuum. Sealing of preformed trays in automatic machines called traysealers. The trays can be foam or rigid. MAP Packs with protective atmosphere inside in order to extend the shelf life of the product. SSF (Shrink Stretch Film) The product is placed on a preformed tray that is sealed using a shrink cover film wrapping allowing the product to exceed the height of the tray and that way acquiring more tension and an optimal presentation. This hygienic technology offers a leakproof guarantee. Normally used for quarters of poultry on trays with printed film and high production requirements. VERTICAL (VFFS o Flow Pack Vertical) The wrapping is done by vertical flow pack wrapping machines that form a tube of film around a product and create a longitudinal sealing along the pack and another two transversal ones. This technology is completely hygienic with high production requirements where the product is vertically charged. Especially designed for frozen poultry quarters. MAP Packs with protective atmosphere inside in order to extend the shelf life of the product. MASTERBAG (Stretch film + Flow pack horizontal) This is grouped packing using a flowpack in a modified atmosphere (MAP) of products previously wrapped in permeable film on trays. The purpose is to extend the shelf life of the product for better transport of the same. The external pack is opened and removed for placing the product on the retail shelves, leaving the primary pack in stretch film for the exhibition for sale. Using a single roll of film, a tube of film is made around the product and three welds are made to seal the pack: two transversal ones and a longitudinal one. MAP Packs with protective atmosphere inside in order to extend the shelf life of the product. SHRINK This is an economic and hygienic technology for large production requirements. The characteristic of the film (shrink polyolefin) facilitates that when the pack passes through a heat oven, the pack acquires the aspect of a second skin. BDF (Shrink Film Barrier) A technology that combines packaging in a modified atmosphere (MAP) with an excellent pack finish due to the retraction effect of the film that adapts to the shape and size of the product. SSF (Shrink Stretch Film) The product is placed on a tray so that a flowpack wrapping machine forms a tube of pre-stretched film around the tray. A longitudinal weld is made along the pack with two more transversal ones. Finally, the pack goes through a heat oven that shrinks the film, that way obtaining an unbeatable presentation. This hygienic technology offers a leakproof guarantee. Designed for fresh or frozen poultry quarters on trays with printed film for large production requirements.
