6 4 Metropolitan Expo Metropolitan Expo is the largest, most modern and functional venue for exhibitions, conferences and events in Greece and one of the finest areas in Southern Europe Metropolitan Expo covers a total of 50,000 m² indoor space that includes: Four (4) large, modern exhibition halls from 6,000 to 13,000 m² in parallel provision on the same level Two (2) conference halls, with 600 and 300 people capacity respectively. 14 12 Standard shell scheme stand The 2.50 m-height standard stand, is made of a natural coloured aluminum frame, with beige-coloured PVC panels (OCTANORM). Above the stand entrance and at 2.20m height, these stands have a perforated aluminum fascia accommodating the stand number and exhibitor s name in digital printing on white PVC. The floor is covered with carpet (colour selected by the organizer). The ceiling hosts aluminum beams, one by 2.00m across the length of the stand. Additional safety rules can be applied at any time. RIGGING RULES OF THE EXHIBITION CENTER: 1. EXPOWORK S.A. and the certified collaborators offer exclusively the rigging services from the ceiling of the halls and the other communal areas of the exhibition center 2. Rigging of any kind of equipment or object from the exhibition s center ceiling is allowed exclusively and only at the points that are designated especially for this purpose from ATHENS METROPOLITAN EXPO S.A. 3. Rigging of any kind of equipment or object from the utility networks (lighting, ventilation, sewage, fire engine and air conditioning networks) and the structural elements or any other point of the ceiling, of the columns or the walls, apart from the two (2) suggested points, is definitely forbidden. 4. Rigging service comes as a result of studying several resultants, such as position, weight and height of the equipment to be rigged and it is not taken for granted.rigging service is not always applicable but depends on several factors like weight, position & height of equipment. 5. EXPOWORK S.A. reserves the right not to fulfil the requirements that come under the restrictions of the ceiling, according to building restrictions, at the point that the stand is situated or for safety reasons. 6. EXPOWORK S.A. reserves the right to check and forbid the use of the client s rigging equipment. The client s rigging equipment should fulfil the European standards of safety and function and should be in good and functional condition. 7. The weight rigging limit is 150kgr per spot at the current meter, including the weight of the spots and the equipment to be rigged (one meter minimum distance between two spots). 8. Any weight exceeding the predefined limits should be removed by EXPOWORK S.A. at exhibitor s expenses. 9. It is not permitted to lift objects weighing over 40kgr or larger than 3 meters length using elevating platforms. 10. Under no circumstances should anyone hang, walk or climb on a rigging point or on the rigging equipment that is applied on the ceiling. 11. The service for installing rigging points is valid only for the exhibition that is indicated on the application and for the specific stand position/number and surface of the stand. 12. Every application regarding the rigging service should be handed over at EXPOWORK S.A. at least fifteen (15) days before the commencement of the exhibition preparation. The application should be accompanied by a drawing and a sworn statement. The drawing should include the total equipment to be rigged, the positions, weights, points of electricity, dimensions and material description. EXPOWORK S.A. will check the rigging drawing for compliance with the present regulations and the regulations of the exhibition center, so as to approve or suggest any amendments. If there are any later modifications of the plan, they should be submitted, accompanied with a new sworn statement, in order to be approved, the latest ten (10) days before the commencement of the exhibition s preparation period. Plans that have not been approved by EXPOWORK S.A. will not be materialized. 13. Any non approved construction or construction that does not satisfy the specifications / requirements of the present regulations or the regulations of the exhibition center shall be removed by EXPOWORK S.A. at the exhibitor s expense. 14. EXPOWORK S.A. is able to exclude any kind of operation or/and installation of equipment that, according to its judgment, can cause problems of technical nature or/and proper function of the exhibition center or can change or degrade its appearance or function. 15. The exhibitor is exclusively responsible for any damages caused due to inaccurate information provided or rigging on his own, his employees, any additional agents & his constructors. EXPOWORK S.A. is not responsible for the construction that will be rigged by the ceiling or for the actions that the client does by himself during the rigging of the construction. 16. Additional safety steel wire is required for any object that is hung with sling nylon. All rigging material (lights, sound, image, marking) should include safety steel wires. The rigged equipment should not obstruct and should have at least 50 cm distance from the ceiling networks. 17. In order to rig banners, at least two (2) rigging points are required and proper infrastructure (rigging bar above and below, sewn pockets that will support the bars and overlap at least 5 cm from each side). 18. By signing the application for the rigging service, the client states that he is aware of the terms of the present regulations, which constitute an inseparable part of the present application and he accedes with no objection. 19. 54 52 EXHIBITOR S INFORMATION A. STANDARD SHELL SCHEME STANDS 1. An electrical switch board is necessary to be positioned at the highest place of the wall of the stand. If you wish this switch board to be placed in a particular osition you will have to send us a drawing/plan of your stand 15 days before the opening of the exhibition. 2. Orders that concern electrical installations or/and constructions, e.g. Installation or connection of floodlights, storage areas, ceiling beams to hold extra lights, cannot be executed without a drawing/plan. 3. Orders concerning shelves are placed by the exhibitor, after relative indications. B. SPECIAL DESIGNED STANDS 1. You will need to send us your orders concerning the power supply at least 15 days before the opening of the exhibition, attaching a drawing/plan indicating its position. The order will be executed if only a drawing have been received. 2. The electrician performing the electrical installations in your stand, is obliged to fill in the Electricians Solemn Declaration Form, mentioning the total kw needed, with his stamp and signature, as also attaching a photocopy of his professional license (expiration date and the number of his professional license must be shown). 3. For your convenience, it is not necessary to attach the photocopy of your electrician s professional license, if it has already been sent to a previous exhibition unless it has expired. (In this case, a photocopy of its renewal date has to be sent). 4. The Electricians Solemn Declaration Form must be filled in by the electrician and is irrelevant to the electrical equipment form order (see Technical Brochure) which needs to be filled in, by the exhibitor. 5. Special designed stands must use an electrical switch board with a safety switch. In case the electrician is not equipped with this kind of switch board, it is possible to order through Expowork. 6. In order to test the electrical installations at your stand, during the exhibitions preparation, the electricians sworn statement should have already been submitted to Expoworks customer service. 7. For static reasons, is obliged to send: Exhibitors Declaration or Engineers Declaration. Exhibitors Solemn Declaration is filled in by the exhibitor in case the construction does not exceed the (3) m height. Engineers Solemn Declaration is filled in from the engineer of your construction company in case the construction of your booth does not exceed the (4) m height. NOTE: The power of KW supplied is a 3-phase power. In case that a mono-phase supply is needed you should please let us know.
