PE is suited for typical manufacturing environments as the material remains stable at temperatures encountered in cold winters (below 0 o F) and hot summers (just over 120 o F). At temperatures exceeding 120 o F the material becomes rubbery, reducing its strength properties. Polystyrene Plastic (PS) is known for its rigidity and stiffness. Comparatively, PS is much stiffer than polyethylene and polypropylene, with lower mold shrinkage. Polypropylene Plastic (PP) is in the same family of plastics as polyethylene and offers excellent chemical resistance and ease of manufacturing that remain similar to that of PE. PP s advantages over PE include its greater stiffness and elevated temperature use. Depending on the application, PP materials can retain their strength at temperatures up to 150 o F. Fiberglass-Reinforced Polyester products produced with this compression-molded, high strength polyester provide dimensional stability, high weight capacity and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures of -60 o F to 250 o F. ESD-Safe Materials protect your products from the damaging effects of static electricity. These containers stack when closed or nest when open to provide the most efficient use of available space on the manufacturing floor, in the warehouse, inside a truck trailer or in the back room of a retail outlet. LEWISBins+ Stack-N-Nest containers are ideally designed for use in general manufacturing, food processing and distribution applications. The NEW Ventilated Containers are a great addition to the Stack-N-Nest product line, as they are ideal for parts washing applications. 13 Stack-N-Nest Containers Add distribution and efficiency with stack and nest containers, covers and dollies. Durable matching covers are available for selected containers to protect product from moisture, impact and contaminants. The CSN is produced in polyethylene. All other covers are manufactured in polypropylene material. Heavy duty dollies, with 560 lb. capacity, are available to move containers quickly, easily and safely. Our dollies come equipped with two swivel and two fixed 3" casters (stainless steel dollies come with 4" casters).
