The Ivetory Reportig (INR) module i BAAN This chapter describes: The INR cocept as applied i BaaERP INR s fuctioal procedures The modules related to INR The fuctioality of INR s busiess objects 1.1 The INR cocept as applied i BaaERP The mai fuctio of the INR module is to supply you with iformatio about curret ivetory levels, future ivetory levels, ad ivetory usage. The INR module maily comprises iquiry (display) sessios ad prit sessios. Some of the display sessios are graphical so that statistical iformatio is displayed more clearly. INR icludes fuctioality to review ad archive all kids of ivetory, ivetory trasactios, ad items issued by period ad warehouse. Iformatio is available o warehouse, locatio, lot, stock poit, ad item levels. Ivetory levels are affected by may types of trasactios that take place i other modules ad i other packages, so there are may liks betwee INR ad other BaaERP elemets. Figure 1 shows how the INR module is positioed i BaaERP. This module cotrols all warehousig orders as well as receipts ad issues from ivetory. The Shop Floor Cotrol (SFC) module. This module creates warehousig orders, which affect ivetory levels. The Purchase Order Cotrol (PUR) module. This module creates warehousig orders, which affect ivetory levels. The Sales Order Cotrol (SLS) module. This module creates warehousig orders, which affect ivetory levels. The Service Order Cotrol (SOC) module. This module creates warehousig order, which affect ivetory levels. The Project Schedulig System (PSS) module. This module creates warehousig orders, which affect ivetory levels. The Ivetory Aalysis (INA) module. This module performs various aalyses o curret ad historic ivetory data. However, this module requires a parameter to be set i INR i order to calculate demad forecasts. The Ivetory Plaig (INP) module. This module hadles plaed ivetory trasactios, thus affectig future ivetory levels. The Lot Cotrol (LTC) module. This module allows lot data to be tracked. The Warehouse Master Data (WMD) module. This module allows you to cotrol ad maitai warehouse data ad parameters. Specifically, Cosigmet Usage allows you to process the ivetory chages that have bee made to cosigmet (ot-owed) ivetory ad esures that the appropriate ivoices to accout for the used cosigmet ivetory are produced. The actual demad data reflects the true use of a ivetory item. The actual demad couter for a item is icremeted every time a warehouse order of type Issue is created. The creatio of the warehouse order ca occur i a umber of ways: Whe a sales order is processed i SLS Whe a shop floor order is processed i SFC Whe a service order is processed i SOC Whe a trasfer order is created, for example whe ivetory is moved to a project warehouse Chagig the actual demad figure to a qualified demad figure allows you to respod flexibly to chagig circumstaces that may affect demad for your products. The result of creatig ad maitaiig qualified demad is the ability to choose betwee usig actual demad data ad qualified demad data whe you calculate demad forecasts i the INA module. Warehousig orders are geerated i INH The icomig orders described i Step 1 all geerate a warehouse order of a type that is either Issue or Trasfer (a type that icludes both Issue ad Receipt.) 16 The Ivetory Reportig (INR) procedures 2.2 To archive ivetory trasactios The archive ivetory trasactio s result The sessios i INR that hadle the archivig of ivetory trasactios allow you to: Archive ivetory trasactios without deletig them from your BaaERP productio system Delete ivetory trasactios from your BaaERP productio system without archivig them Archive ad delete ivetory trasactios There are three potetial results from usig this procedure, which deped o the optios you select: 1 The specified trasactios are archived oto disk or tape ad deleted from the BaaERP productio system 2 The specified trasactios are archived oto disk or tape but ot deleted from the BaaERP productio system 3 The specified trasactios are deleted from the BaaERP productio system, but ot archived aywhere You ca archive trasactios i oe of four ways, as described i the steps below. Other modules such as SOC, SLS, PSS, PUR ad SFC geerate their ow orders that are the processed by INH. BaaERP records the history of each trasactio processed by INH if the checkbox has bee selected as described i Step 1. You ca the archive the trasactios as described i the Steps 3a through 3d. Archive Ivetory Trasactios by Stockpoit (whir1200m000) Use this sessio to archive, delete, or archive ad delete all trasactios up to a date that you specify. If you are archivig trasactios, you must eter a compay umber. Without package defiitios, BaaERP caot capture ivetory structure details. Receipts (whih3520m000) I additio to the creatio of packagig details, there must also be actual ivetory receipts for which packagig details are etered i this sessio. 22 The Ivetory Reportig (INR) procedures 2.6 To process used cosigmet ivetory The cosigmet ivetory preset i a ormal warehouse (where the cosigmet is owed by a supplier) ca be used for sales, productio, or trasfer. If this ivetory is used, the user of the ivetory has to pay the ower of the ivetory. This process is described i figure 9. Lik to Fiace Whe cosigmet ivetory has bee processed, ivoices for the used ivetory are the produced ad ca be posted to Fiace (depedig o cotractual ivoicig arragemets with the supplier.) Figure 9 shows the process used cosigmet ivetory procedure. This purchase order will geerate a warehousig order of type Receipt whe it is released to warehousig. Ivetory Hadlig (INH) The INH module is used to receive the Cosigmet Repleishmet purchase order described i Step 1. At this poit, the receipt of the cosigmet ivetory is registered i the system as a Iboud record with the status Received. Whe this stock is used, a Outboud record is registered i the system with the status Used. Cosigmet Ivetory ad Usage (whir2540m000) You ca use this optioal sessio to display the cosigmet ivetory movemets (receipts ad issues) described at Steps 2 ad 4. Process Used Cosigmet Ivetory (whir2240m000) After the cosigmet ivetory is used, this sessio will geerate purchase orders for that cosigmet ivetory. This purchase order, of type Cosigmet Ivoicig, allows the ower of the ivetory to be paid after the ivetory has bee used. The records for the used cosigmet ivetory for which such a purchase order has bee geerated will receive the status Processed. The sessio checks whether the cosigmet ivetory for a order has bee fully used ad processed, i which case the etries for that order ca be removed. Ivetory Reportig (INR) 2-11
