1 RAILWAY ENQUIRY AND FACILITIES SYSTEM Hobab Alemeen, Sakshi Srivastava, Sadiqa Alam and Amit Kumar Srivastava ABSTRACT Technical development has main role in development and everyone is moving fast. In the advance technical environment of computers, all system has changed into automatic and computerized system. Now the most countries become digital, it being a advance step as a improvement in Railway Enquiry And Facilities System. Service quality is the most important factor for the passenger s satisfaction. This paper deals with development and implementation of source for Railway Enquiry System which is better than the other existing Railway Enquiry System. The purpose of the paper is to enhance the service quality of Railway Enquiry System. Mainly the paper describes how to manage good performance and better facilities to customer. Keywords: WAMP Server, Booking coolie, Booking doctor, Booking Tourist guide. 1. INTRODUCTION The system is basically concerns with Book coolie, Need doctor and Tourist guide facility to the passengers. India has biggest railway network across the country and in the whole world. It is not arriving at particular station, passenger cannot book coolies. No information about where to get immediate health treatment. We find out that there is no tourist guide available for the passenger. We are providing facility for the passenger to access the services more easily which are available or which can be added in future through railway enquiry and facilities system website. In railway enquiry and facilities system, there are two modules that is admin panel and railway enquiry module.in the railway enquiry module, we are giving six links that is search train, seat availability fare enquiry which are already included in the main Indian railway website and three other link is book coolie, need doctor and tourist guide are the new features that we are providing in this paper is an attempt to put for the role of service satisfaction in affecting passengers satisfaction in the content of railway enquiry services. The main objectives of this system are to enhance the services of Railway Enquiry and Facilities System; we have included some new facilities here in this project like Book coolie: Provide the passengers services to carry the heavy luggage. Need doctor: Provide the services in case of emergency health problem to passengers. Tourist guide: Provide the services of booking Tourist Guide. 2. LITERATURE SURVEY According to chapter 1 of CPRS of the The Indian Railways, Indian Railway(IR) carries about 5.5 lakh passengers in reserved accommodation every day. The computerized Passenger Reservation System (PRS) facilitates booking and cancelling of tickets from any of the 4000 terminals (i.e PRS booking windows) all over the country. These tickets can be booked or cancelled for journeys commencing in any part of India and ending in any other part, with travel 157

2 times as long as 72 hours and distances up to several thousand kilometers.( Chapter 1 Computerized Passenger Reservation System of the Indian Railways). We have survey that in most of the Railway Enquiry Website, some of the facilities which is necessary for the passengers are not available on their websites. These facilities are considered important for the passenger that can provide convenience in the time they need these facilities. We have found that book coolie, book doctor, book tourist guide facilities are not available in most of the railway enquiry websites. 3. PROPOSED SYSTEM This project is developed by using the software tool Dreamweaver and PHP & Mysql and WAMP Server. It is divided into two phases. In the very first phase, feasibility study is conducted; requirement analysis is carried out to understand the need for the system and the necessary module such as Admin module Railway enquiry facilities module. The web based module is for the admin panel to control it s all over activities like updating, creation, deletion or any other database changes in the whole project by the admin. And in the second module we have given six links pages of search train, book coolie, seat availability, fare enquiry, need doctor and tourist guide. In this system we have used the Iterative enhancement model as Software Development Life Cycle Model MODULE DESCRIPTION RAILWAY ENQUIRY AND FACILITIES MODULE This module is used for the providing more services to the passengers for their convenience to access services of Indian Railway. In this unit testing, testing of each features in component design has been carried out in the component. Here the components of software are tested individually for the purpose of validation of each unit. 162

This testing focus more on how units are communicating with each other rather than what components are doing. 5. CONCLUSION The whole work is to providing the convenience to the passengers of Indian railway. This project railway enquiry and facilities system is a collection of static and dynamic web based pages. This project an offer to the passenger to enquiry about the trains, fare of trains, seat availability of the train, booking of coolie, needs of doctor and booking of tourist guide. 6. FUTURE SCOPE This system is useful for the passengers for getting the services more easily like passengers can contact with the doctor directly for immediate treatment, they can also book the coolie and tourist guide for their convenience and also for the administrator for managing the system more efficiently. There can be more enhancements in this system and more services can be added for the passenger satisfaction. 7.
