3 CRLC History Community leaders led the development of a long term Advanced Logistics roadmap through Battelle in 2007 Columbus Chamber accepted the roadmap s strategy and created the Columbus Region Logistics Council, as an initiative of the Chamber Columbus Region Logistics Council (CRLC) includes industry players: carriers, shippers, freight forwarders, software and R&D firms, higher education institutions, developers and the regional airport authority CRLC is funded by and is part of the Columbus Chamber. The CRLC defined its organization structure with 22 Board members and has rapidly grown to nearly 100 Council members 3

9 Infrastructure Mission: Develop a world-class logistics infrastructure that creates a significant cost and service competitive advantage for logistics operations in the Columbus Region Inland Port Strategy 1: Enhance freight efficiency for competitive advantage across all key modes: air, road, rail and intermodal I-270 Alum Creek Interchange fully funded. Expected completion date: 2012 Support of East/West Connector Road Project at Rickenbacker 9

Mission: Build a high-skill workforce for competitive advantage Strategy 3: Maximize impact of talent in the region through sustainable targeted programs and promotion of academic assets U.S. DOL Grant to CSCC was successful - $4.6 million will provide training for 1,000 displaced workers in the next three years advanced logistics training to 300 incumbent logistics workers 14
