1 U.S. Shipping Information U.S. Shipping Dimensions: An Aqua-Cycle has a shipping weight of 303 lbs. and is 191 cubic feet. Each is shipped partially assembled meaning that we assemble the drive train (pedal crank to the rear axle). You attach the wheels, seat and front fork following our assembly instructions. U.S. Packaging: Each Aqua-Cycle is shipped in three units. Frame as a separate piece (98# / 72 x57 x37 / Class 250 / NMFC ) Three wheels on one pallet (157# / 48 x48 x62 / Class 250 / NMFC ) Seat and assembly parts in a box (48# / 26 x26 x49 / Class 250 / NMFC ) U.S. Truck Lines: United States shipping is by truck line. We will locate a truck line for your shipment that delivers to your area and has a reasonable rate. If you have a preferred carrier we would be glad to use them, but they must have pick-up capability in Brownwood, Texas Some of the truck lines which service Brownwood, Texas are AAA Cooper, Roadway, Yellow, Overnite, SAIA and Consolidated. U.S. Shipping Charges: Shipments are normally sent "Shipping Prepaid" meaning that you pay for the truck charges with your order. Special arrangements can be made for collect, on account and 3rd-party-billing shipments, but often the freight costs are higher than what we can negotiate. Point of Origin: Aqua-Cycles are shipped from our plant in Brownwood, Texas U.S. Tracking: Most truck lines can track your shipment by computer as it moves from us to you. All you need to do is call the truck line local office and ask them to trace your shipment. If you need more information such as the Bill of Lading or Pro Bill Number, call us and we will get that for you. Questions: Call us with any questions about shipping and freight lines. Large Shipments: Because Aqua-Cycles take up an enormous amount of room in a truck trailer (they are shipped unassembled and still take up lots of room) we prefer to break large shipments into smaller groups of no more than 3 per shipment and send each shipment two or three days apart. We will be in touch with you if your order should be divided into more than one shipment. Inspection: You are responsible to properly receive your freight shipment. You need to inspect each item upon delivery for missing pieces or damage, then note it on the freight bill before signing for your delivery. If you sign for 6 pieces and only receive 5, the truck line is under no obligation to find or reimburse you for the missing piece. Damaged Freight: In the very rare instance of missing pieces or freight damage, the freight company must process your claim. They will pay for replacement of the missing pieces and repair or replacement of damaged pieces. YOU must file the claim with the truck line before the truck line will do anything - we cannot file claims for you. You are the one receiving the shipment and have the driver there to note your claim. Ownership: Based upon Federal regulations concerning freight shipments, you legally take ownership and possession of your order at the time the truck line takes possession from us. We have delivered the shipment to them in good condition, they have signed for it and they are responsible to you for the proper care and handling of your order. Help: The above is not to relieve ourselves from helping if there is a problem with the freight process. We are available to assist with a problem, but we can only assist you. Please call us immediately (right after the truck line is notified) if there are pieces missing or damage. We will work with you in getting the problem resolved quickly. 2 Export Information Export Shipping Dimensions: Each Aqua-Cycle, as prepared for loading into a container at our plant, has a shipping weight of 140 kg and is 5.4 cubic meters. Each is loaded partially assembled, meaning that we assemble the drive train (pedal crank to the rear axle) and you attach the wheels, seat and front fork upon delivery. Export Packaging: Each Aqua-Cycle as loaded into a container is made up of three units. The frame and drive train assembled (45kg / 1.8mx1.5mx.94m = 2.5m³) The three wheels as one set (73kg / 1.2mx1.2mx1.6m = 2.3m³) The seat and assembly parts (22kg /.7mx.7mx1.3m =.6m³) Export Shipping Containers: Up to 22 Aqua-Cycles can be loaded into one 45 "high cube" container (when loaded at our plant) Up to 20 Aqua-Cycles can be loaded into one 40 "high cube" container (when loaded at our plant) Up to 15 Aqua-Cycles can be loaded into one 40 standard container (when loaded at our plant) Up to 7 Aqua-Cycles can be loaded into one 20 standard container (when loaded at our plant). Container Loading: There is no additional charge for us to load your order into a container at our plant. This helps minimize your costs, allows us to be sure your order is properly packed to protect the contents and maximizes the number of units in the container. Container loads are the most economical method of shipping to overseas destinations. Point of Origin: Aqua-Cycles are shipped from Brownwood, Texas - USA (zipcode 76801). HS Code: This is an international standardized system of classifying products. Two HS codes have been applied to Aqua-Cycles. One may be more favorably treated in your country than another. The most commonly used is 8712 because it is a tricycle. The other is 8903 because it floats on water and may be considered a boat. LTL Shipments: (Less Than container Load): LTL is when various products are loaded into the same container by a shipping line, freight forwarder or consolidating company. We do not recommend LTL shipping for Aqua-Cycles because 1) LTL is very expensive due to the volume of Aqua-Cycles, 2) you have additional cost for trucking them to the point of consolidation and 3) we do not package them for LTL. We highly recommend you allow us to load a container at our plant rather than ship your order as LTL freight for consolidating and loading by a shipping line. Container Shipping Charges: These can be either Prepaid or Collect, depending upon what is permitted by the destination port, shipping line and freight forwarder. Other fees must also be calculated, such as for documents, special handling, insurance, port security clearance, etc. Any destination customs / duty / taxes / DDC charges are the responsibility of the consignee and are not included in prepaid shipping charges. Shipping Quotations: We will be glad to request a shipping estimate to the port destination nearest you. We must know when you would be placing your order, the quantity of Aqua-Cycles and the destination port. Without all three of these pieces of information they cannot provide us with a valid shipping quote. Shipping quotes are estimations and subject to change at the time of order. Air Freight: Is almost impossible, because an Aqua-Cycle is so large. The air freight shipping cost is at least $4,000 per Aqua-Cycle. We can ship by air freight for special situations if you must receive your order this way, but don t even ask for a quotation unless you are prepared to pay a very high rate.
