2 Car body punching scrap, sheet metal scrap from electrical and household technology, thin sheet metal scrap, packaged scrap Large under-floor disposal systems for automotive scrap Automotive Stamped scrap 1 Stamped scrap disposal 2 3 Stamped scrap disposal has been one of the main areas of concentration in the Goessling delivery program for many years. A wide range of solutions for various applications have been compiled during that time. 14 Our customers include numerous large corporate groups which use our conveyor systems on a daily basis for the disposal of scrap from their press lines. Both steel hinge belt and magnetic slide Conveyor systems are used for this purpose, depending on the form, size and quantity of the scrap. 15 The scrap is often disposed of by very long conveyor routes underneath the press areas, sometimes utilizing sorted transport, depending on the quality and alloy of the scrap material Height differences in the conveyor system route (horizontal or inclined) normally do not pose any problems. The conveyors are integrated and operate like an automated chain, creating a centrally controlled conveyor system. 17 Bailed scrap 5 Thin sheet metal scrap Under-floor scrap disposal with steel hinged belt conveyors 8 Smooth, dependable under-floor scrap disposal is an extremely important requirement for automated car body component production. Consistent, continuous transportation of the scrap without conveyor breakdowns is the only way to ensure non-stop production on every press line. Not a single press should be sitting "idle" simply because a part of the scrap disposal system doesn't "work". 18 We are one of the leaders in conveyor technology worldwide in terms of preventing press shut-downs and reliable scrap distribution We have proven our competence year after year as a manufacturer of high-quality scrap disposal systems in countless applications ( car body production in particular)

3 Optimal transport links for punched scrap Fully automatic scrap distribution separated by alloy type into large containers, truck trailers, freight cars Hinged belt design Our hinged segments are stamped from high-strength cold-rolled steel sheet metal. They generally consist of a single piece of metal across the entire usable belt width. This eliminates gaps and increases resistance against transverse deflection. The surface of the hinge (carrying surface) is flat, with the rolled portion of the hinge lying underneath the segment. This design increases the structural integrity of the segments and minimizes the potential for the sticking or jamming of fine punched scrap. Hinged belt types Our hinged elements have a motion gap of just 0.3mm (less than 1/8"). The hinged segments used for stamped scrap disposal are available in the following pitches: 63mm (2-1/2"), 125mm (5"), or 152.4mm (6") Deliverable effective widths are: 300mm (12") up to 2000mm (78") The hinged belts are driven and guided on the outer edges of the belt by hollow bolt chains. The complete hinged belt strand is unrolled onto its support/runner system by annealed castors in each of the chain links. The belt's cross pins are inserted into the hollow bolts of the chain. This design allows individual cross pins and hinge segments to be replaced without dismantling the chains. 29 Parameters t = 63 mm 26 The hollow bolts of the chains are used to transfer the stress associated with weight to the outer links of the hollow bolts, diverting stress away from the cross pins of the hinge belt. The cross pins only absorb the load applied by the respective hinge segment. This is an important structural feature in terms of our competitor's solutions. 30 Flat hinged segments with minimal gaps Systematic sealing with respect to the laterally circulating side-wings Steel rail cover above side-wings for lateral sealing Conveyor framing in screwed steel skeleton design (results in narrow frame width tolerances for minimizing residual gaps) Laser-cut side wings in conjunction with special milled steel rail covers increase the conveyor cross section and make for an extremely tight belt carrying surface. The height of these steel rail covers can vary from 50 mm up to 120 mm. Flights welded across the belt hinges at specific intervals allow for incline conveying angles up to 85. Removable side panels provided in specific-areas offer the option of free access to the hinged belt strands and to the gap between the upper and lower belt runs. Drip edges available for draining press oil transported with scrap into oil pans arranged openly beneath the conveyor frame. d = 125 mm 27 Our conveyors for stamped scrap disposal can be delivered as a straight (horizontal) design or in practically any desired angled layout. 31 Oil drops can solely access these pans and not the channel floor. Manganese steel rails available for the conveyor runner system to minimize wear between the runner system and the hardened rollers of the belt chains d = mm

4 Automated scrap distribution at the discharge point Scrap container filling Container filling Punched scrap consolidation at central collection points Scrap ejection into large containers, trailers or freight cars Optimal container filling by modern sensor technology (ultrasonics, infra-red, laser, radar) Scrap sorting and distribution (scrap sorted by type) into pre-selected containers (Al, steel, Nirosta) Scrap weight batch loading using load cells, automatic weight registration 44 Scrap distribution Fully automatic scrap container filling by means of: 37 Distributor swivel slides Distributor tilt slides Distributor swivel conveyors Reversal of the conveyor direction Longitudinal shifting of the ejection conveyor Container transfer
