1 Top 20 'High-Engagement' Facebook Posts ATTRACT MORE LIKES, COMMENTS, SHARES AND CLICKS Facebook (or FB, as the kids call it) defines engagement in one way and one way only: fingers clicking specific buttons. If a fan doesn t engage with your post in at least one of four ways like it, leave a comment, share it with others, or click on a link it s not considered engagement by FB standards. Period. Quotes are magic on Facebook. People want to look good when they share your content. Give them something inspirational to share with their friends and it will catch like wildfire. FREE giveaways, when helpful and useful, will get you more shares and comments. Fans will thank you in the comments and share with friends, all the while boosting your engagement.

3 Pat Flynn is a master at taking people behind the scenes and getting feedback. It s a great way to get to learn your audiences likes while also telling them about what you re working on. Whenever I feel confused or uncertain about the language I am using in my marketing, I jump on FB to learn more about how my audience thinks. People LOVE to give their opinions. ;-) Asking interesting, relevant and emotion-evoking questions in a post is a surefire way to spark conversation. When the question resonates with your audience, they can t help but comment! Notice how the Food Babe teases her fans with the content while using an eye-catching image. She gives just enough to spark curiosity, but holds a little back to get the click. Genius!

4 Anytime you invite your audience in and have a little fun with them, they are sure to pay attention. They want YOU, not your brand. Don t be afraid to show your silly side. When you feel comfortable doing so, share your special moments with your fans. They will appreciate the sincerity and be reminded that you really are a person with a life outside of FB. Hashtags on Facebook don t tend to do much, HOWEVER, when you choose just one and use it repeatedly as an extension of your brand, people pay attention and you get the LIKES. You can t go wrong when sharing pics of your pets. Seriously. We know the world doesn t need many more cat photos, but when you are out and about with your furry friend, share it. 5 Real-time pics from your smartphone will typically get you more likes and shares vs. stock photos. This example is just another way to let your fans come with you behind the scenes. If you have a product, find creative ways to showcase it. When you have a loyal following around your brand, and showcase what you have to offer, the LIKES will come rolling in. Each time you create a new blog post, pay close attention to the image that gets pulled into the post when fans share it on FB. Create images that instantly say what your post is about. Images that are insanely colorful are sure to grab the attention of your fans in the News Feed. Think about all that noise you are competing with - the image MUST grab their attention first!

6 Video is HOT right now on FB. Especially when you create a short video and upload it directly inside of your FB post. Think short, to the point and inviting. If you are in an niche that you can give quick, helpful tips in the form of a video, DO IT. You don t even need to be on the video. In this example I used Screenflow to record a short tip. Steve Spangler nailed it with this short video. It s actually a promo video for one of his products. But the video is fun, short and entertaining. That is a perfect combo for FB success.
