4 DTF is a prject funded by the Eurpean Cmmissin under Hrizn As a Crdinatin and Supprt Actin (CSA) it will supprt the EC (DG MOVE and INEA) in cvering crdinatin and netwrking f Research and Innvatin prjects, Prgrammes and plicies. Starting date: January 2018 (implementatin time 30 mnths). Grant Awarded : abut 1,2 millin Eur.

24 Preliminary utcmes The Wrld Trade Organizatin s Trade Facilitatin Agreement, which entered int frce in February 2017, is a milestne and can be expected t make internatinal business cheaper, faster and easier, aiming at reducingthe time t imprt gds by 47% and the time t exprt gds by as much as 91%; The paperless dream fr air and sea freight is still in the future. In bth mdes, there are ften mre peple handling the back ffice paperwrk than physically handling the carg, and the csts reflect this. The use f technlgy and data helps business grw and cntributes t the verall ecnmy; Single Windw envirnments can save resurces, reduce human errr and speed up trade flws; Human resistance t new systems, the lack f trust between parties and a reluctance t share infrmatin can all hld back cllabratin in the supply chain; Technlgies such as Blckchain and the Internet f Things will play a crucial rle in trade facilitatin and the flw f infrmatin, particularly in ensuring the accuracy and quality f data; The lgistics sectr needs t change and becme mre digital. If traditinal cmpanies dn t embrace technlgy, they are in danger f being left behind; new technlgy and start-up cmpanies will take ver their business by changing the business mdel; Prt Cmmunity Systems cntinue t play a central rle in driving frward the digitalisatin agenda.
