2 What is a Social Media Event week? A Social Media Event week is an excellent opportunity for Retailers to engage with current and prospective customers through the social media platforms of Facebook and Twitter and to encourage increased footfall in-store thus raising both their store/brand awareness and profile as an official Clogau Retailer. How will this work? Firstly, Clogau have put together a campaign for Retailers to use on social media to engage with your customers and excite them about the opportunity to win a free piece of Clogau jewellery. The social media campaign can be run on either Facebook or Twitter or both Social Media platforms. Retailers will need to discuss this with their Area Sales Manager as they will need two offer packs if they run the campaign across both platforms. If they are active on both Facebook and Twitter and would like to run the campaign on both platforms, please request two offer packs. We suggest that Retailers think of these as two separate competitions with two separate chances to win the free piece of jewellery hence requiring two offer packs. Only one Kensington Key pendant will be available per retailer per platform per Social Media Event week competition. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please include the hash tag #ClogauEvents in your social media posts and in the days leading up to your Social Media Event week. This should help raise awareness. The second part of the engagement campaign will be to entice prospective customers in to your store (through the social media posts we will supply) and by offering a 50 discount off Clogau jewellery purchases of spends over 249 to the first 10 people to take up the offer. Plus 10 free goodie bags will be included in the offer pack to give to the first 10 customers to make a purchase in-store during the Social Media Event week. PLEASE NOTE: If you run the Twitter and Facebook Social Media competitions simultaneously you will obviously be able to extend the offer to 20 customers (10 per offer pack). The goodie bag will contain a Clogau key ring and cleaning cloth but retailers could add anything they wish or create their own if they run out and wish to extend the offer to more customers. If retailers do decide to extend the offer to more customers, Clogau will only be able to credit them with Loyalty points for half of the equivalent financial loss for the first 10 customers in-line with the competition rules and offer packs. What will Clogau supply? Clogau will supply retailers with six days (Monday Saturday) worth of images and text to post up on their social media platform(s). They will not need to write any of their own copy or create any images, unless they wish to do so. Please see the documents you have downloaded called: Facebook posts and Twitter posts. We advise that you use the content (copy and images) we have supplied. Retailers will need to make sure that they post the supplied Facebook copy and related images on Facebook and likewise, the supplied Twitter posts and related images on Twitter. This may sound silly but the copy needs to be written slightly differently for use on the two different platforms mainly due to the character limitations on Twitter. SUPPORTING YOU To show our support to our Retailers hosting these events, Loyalty points will be credited by Clogau for half of the equivalent financial loss. (See page 4 for more information). 3 What will customers have to do to enter the Facebook and/or Twitter competitions? There will be two offer packs (free gifts) available per Retailer for the two separate competitions that are available to run on the two main social media platforms. One offer pack will be the free gift for the Twitter competition. To be in with a chance of winning the Twitter competition, entrants will need to re-tweet your posts and follow you on Twitter ONLY ONCE. They must only enter once because entrants who RT multiple times are at risk of breaking the Twitter T&C guidelines. One offer pack will be the free gift for the Facebook competition. To be in with a chance of winning the Facebook competition, entrants will need to like and comment on retailer posts on Facebook ONLY ONCE. PLEASE NOTE: The Terms & Conditions of the competition clearly state that retailers reserve the right to end the competition at any time and change the free gift competition prize. You, the Retailer also reserve the right, should only one person enter both competitions, only one prize will be awarded to that person. What will customers have to do to take advantage of the free goodie bag and the 50 discount on Clogau jewellery? The first 10 customers to spend 249 on Clogau jewellery in retailers stores will receive a 50 instantly redeemable discount (which expires within 14-days of the SM Event week ending) plus a surprise goodie bag, which will contain a Heartstrings key ring and polishing cloth plus retailers can customise the bags with anything else they wish to add as mentioned above. PLEASE NOTE: In the Terms & Conditions of the competition Clogau clearly state that you, the Retailer reserve the right to end the competition at any time and change the free gift and goody bag contents. What will I have to do as an official Clogau stockist? and register your interest and the dates when you would like to run a Social Media Event week (events must always run from Monday Saturday inclusive). This event is available to Retailers in line with their Club Au tiering and benefits. This is only available to Retailers who have a Facebook and/or Twitter accounts. 4 What are the benefits to Retailers? A Social Media Event week is an excellent opportunity for Retailers to engage with current and prospective customers through the social media platforms of Facebook and Twitter and to encourage increased footfall in-store thus raising both retailers store/brand awareness and profile as an official Clogau Retailer. What will it cost me to run a Social Media Event week? Retailers will be entitled to one FREE Social Media Event week offer pack per Social Media Event competition. So, if you wish to run two competitions at the same time on both Facebook and Twitter you will need to request two FREE offer packs when you register your interest with your ASM. Your ASM will then complete the paperwork as they do for the current in-store Event Days to ensure you receive everything you need to fulfil the competition requirements. What will a single Social Media Event week offer pack comprise of? CBAG03 Gift bags x 10 7HSKR2 Heartstrings key rings x 10 (Subject to change) SMPOS-50VOUCHER 50 off vouchers x 10 per pack 3SKLP Kensington Lockets x 1 (Subject to change) PLEASE NOTE: If you run Facebook and Twitter competitions simultaneously then you will receive two offer packs. How do we order the packs? Retailers simply register their interest in holding a Social Media Event week with their Area Sales Manager. ASMs will then get in touch with their retailers and talk them through everything they need to know and require to run this event. The ASMs will then order either one or two offer packs depending on whether retailers want to just run the competition on one social media platform or hold two separate but consecutive competitions on two separate platforms (both Facebook and Twitter). How will the in-store discount work? For the customer: The first 10 customers to come in to the store when the online competition is live get an immediate 50 discount on any Clogau jewellery (including watches but excluding the purchase of Clogau vouchers and perfume) when they spend 249 or more on Clogau jewellery. T&Cs apply. If retailers are running both the Twitter and Facebook competitions simultaneously they will have two offer packs and will therefore be able to offer the in-store discount and goodie bags to the first 20 customers. FOR THE RETAILER: (Check your Club Au status) Participating Retailers must return the printed 50 voucher supplied in the offer pack and attach the proof of purchase from their Customer sale. This must be actioned within 14-days of the end of the Social Media Event week. This will then be used by us to ensure you are reimbursed. Loyalty points will be credited for half of the equivalent financial loss. Please send completed vouchers with proof of purchase attached to: Social Media Event week redemptions, Kevan Jenkinson, Clogau, 5 Kinmel Park, Abergele Road, Bodelwyddan, LL18 5TX. We would like to make it clear that the customer data will be added to Retailers Customer data in the Clogau Retailer website and NOT to our Clogau marketing database. Participating Retailers must return the printed 50 voucher supplied in the offer pack and attach proof of purchase from their Customer sale. This must be completed and returned within 14-days of the Social Media Event week ending, as clearly stated in the full terms and conditions of the competition. This will then be used by Clogau to ensure you are Retailers are appropriately reimbursed. Loyalty points will be credited for half of the equivalent financial loss. Please send completed vouchers with proof of purchase attached to: Social Media Event Week Redemptions, Kevan Jenkinson, Clogau, 5 Kinmel Park, Abergele Road, Bodelwyddan, LL18 5TX. Contacting the competition winner and awarding prizes The Retailer must notify the competition winner(s) within 14-days of the competition ending. Only the winner(s) will be notified, other entrants will not be contacted. If the winner(s) do not respond within 5-days of the end date of the competition, the Retailer reserves the right to select a new winner(s). The winner(s) will be asked if they consent to the Retailer posting their name as winner(s) of the competition on the social platform that they won on in the initial contact when they are told they have won. If the Retailer does not hear back when it can be seen the post has been viewed by the user saying that they do not wish to be used then the Retailer reserves the right to include their name in the winner(s) post. The above are clearly stated in the T&Cs included in the Social Media Event week posts. They are also located on your RWP site under: <<your rwp site URL here>>/terms.aspx e.g.; These T&Cs apply to both the Facebook and Twitter Social Media Event week competitions as well as the in-store promotion to qualify for 50 discount on spends of 249 or more on Clogau jewellery. Please read carefully. Eligibility to enter plus information on the opening and closing dates The promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland and Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey and Guernsey), excluding employees and their families of the Retailer and their agencies or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion. Entrants must have access to the internet; have an address and a Facebook and/ or Twitter account. The promotion runs for six consecutive days. The Retailer reserves the right to end the competition(s) and offer at any time without further notice or requirements being fulfilled. A maximum of one entry is permitted per person and a maximum of one prize may be won per household. No purchase is necessary to enter the Facebook and Twitter competitions. A purchase of 249 or more on Clogau jewellery (includes watches but excludes vouchers and perfume) is necessary directly from the Retailer running the promotion to qualify for the immediate 50 discount off their purchase(s). This applies to the first 10 people into the store and is at the Retailers discretion. These same first 10 people will qualify for a free goodie bag, the contents of which may vary without notice. To enter this competition on Twitter Visit the Retailers Twitter page, follow their Twitter account with your Twitter account and retweet one of the competition posts. These will be posts including the words RT and follow. Retweeting of any other post during the competition period that does not contain the phrase above does not count as an entry. Entrants must continue to follow the Retailers twitter account after entry into the competition in order to continue to be regarded as eligible. Re-tweeting multiple times will not increase your chances of winning as only one entry per person is allowed. To enter this competition on Facebook Visit the Retailers Facebook page, like and comment on the days competition post. These will be posts including the words like and comment. One winner will be selected by a random draw and the winners from all valid entries received within the promotional period and in accordance with these terms and conditions of both the Facebook and Twitter competitions. Notification of winning The Retailer will notify the competition winner(s) within 14-days of the competition ending. Only the winner(s) will be notified, other entrants will not be contacted. If the winner(s) do not respond within 5-days of the end date of the competition, the Retailer reserves the right to select a new winner(s). The Retailer will make reasonable efforts to contact the winners. However, if a winner has not responded to notification within 5 days or if a selected winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions, or unable to take up the prize for any other reason, the Retailer reserves the right to select an alternative winner using the same process referred to in these terms and conditions. If the retailer does not receive a response within a 5-day period, from the sent to the winner at the address supplied, the Retailer reserves the right to randomly select another winner. The 50 discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or voucher codes. Order total must reach 249 on Clogau jewellery only before the discount of 50 can be applied (excluding postage, gift vouchers, perfume and gift wrap). Discount expires as dated on voucher. No equivalent cash or otherwise will be given. If this 50 discount is redeemed against a transaction which includes two or more items whose combined value is in excess of 249, and any items included in this transaction are subsequently returned, then the face value of the discount ( 50) will be deducted from the value refunded. Offer only available at this store at the address given on the Retailer Social Media accounts. Available on a first-come, firstserve basis only, and subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Retailer has the right to substitute alternative qualifying spending limits or, in exceptional circumstances, to amend or foreclose the offer without notice. No correspondence will be entered into. If only one person enters each competition and that one person is the same person then only one prize will be awarded. The Retailer reserves the right to change the free gift prize without any notice and no monetary alternative will be given. The prize Each winner (one from Facebook and one from Twitter) will receive 1 x Clogau Kensington Locket The winner(s) of the prize(s) will be notified by the Retailer posting their names on Facebook and Twitter on a new post which will clearly indicate you are the winner of the Social Media Event week competition within 5-days of being selected. When the prospective winner(s) have been contacted to confirm that they have won, they will be asked to provide their full name, a valid address and postal address where we can dispatch the prize to. To confirm their eligibility for the prize, winner(s) must respond to notification within 5 days. The prizes will be dispatched within 14-days of winners responding to notification. The Retailer accepts no responsibility for failed delivery due to provision of incorrect contact details by entrants. Any prize that is returned undelivered will be assumed unwanted and the Retailer reserves the right to select an alternative winner to receive the prize using the same process referred to above in these terms and conditions. General Cost of shipping is included in the prize; the Lockets will be shipped to the winners address as supplied. Any redelivery requirements where a prize winner has not been available to receive their delivery that requires an additional cost is the winner s responsibility. The winners are responsible for all expenses not expressly stated in these terms and conditions as being included as part of the prize. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted entries or those which are otherwise not in accordance with these terms and conditions will not be valid. The Retailer accepts no responsibility for failure to receive an entry where such failure is due to circumstances outside the Retailer s control. This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with twitter. Entrants to this competition hereby release twitter from any claim or liability suffered in connection with this competition. Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash or other alternative to a prize will be offered save for in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which the Retailer reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value than the original. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Retailer may at its sole discretion refuse to accept an entry. The Retailer s decision is binding in all matters relating to this competition, and no correspondence shall be entered into. To the extent permitted by law, the Retailer accepts no liability for any damage, loss or injury suffered due to entering this competition or taking up a prize.
