1 BIRCHWOOD SCRIP PROGRAM The Scrip Program is up and running for the new school year. The attached flyer gives a concise overview of the program. Additionally, families can purchase gift cards by ordering through school and paying by check. There are some gift cards (popular ones like Heinen s, Giant Eagle, Shell, Panera, Amazon, Starbucks, Home Depot, Walmart, Kohl s 1, etc.) that may be available for purchase from the school office. How and why: Scrip/Gift Cards are purchased by the school at a discount (the amount varies by merchant and supplier) and sold to you at face value. The difference is the school s profit (rebate). The school-wide total program profit can become significant if we achieve and maintain wide and steady family participation. And you don t have to purchase anything you wouldn t already buy. New this year: Families now have the option to partially share in the rebates earned through their Scrip purchases. After a family earns an initial $50 in rebates for the school during the school year, they will have the option of receiving up to 40% of the rebates earned on subsequent Scrip purchases paid back to them in the form of Scrip 2. (Many will choose to forgo this option and leave 100% of the rebates earned with the school to maximize the benefits of the program to Birchwood.) Paid orders received through May 20, 2019 are eligible to be included in this option. Ways to participate (choose one or a combination!): Order online at ShopWithScrip.com. Join our program (Enrollment code: 75LD61D11228) and set up your account to pay online from your bank account using PrestoPay. This is by far the easiest and most efficient way to participate! Some Scrip is even immediately available to you digitally and/or in printable form when ordering and paying online. Check out the many options for participation on the ShopWithScrip.com website, including MyScripWallet. Send your order in to school with payment. Join our program at ShopWithScrip.com to see the complete list of available Scrip in the Birchwood School program. (We have some retailers available that are not included in their generic listing.) Set up a standing order so you always have Scrip on hand when doing your regular shopping. If you d like to set up a standing order for Scrip (for example: $400 in groceries, $200 in gas, $25 in drug store, and, say, $30 in Starbucks; once a month), please your request to scrip@birchwoodschool.org. Purchase from on-hand inventory. Stop by the school s main office. See examples above. If your order contains physical Scrip, it can be delivered to you via your child. 3 (Please be mindful and on the lookout if you have an open order.) Orders received by Mondays will be delivered to you or available for pick up (on a best efforts basis) by Friday of the same week. In all cases regular orders, standing orders, and purchases from our inventory -- full payment in advance is required prior to delivery of Scrip/Gift Cards to you. No exceptions. The keys to success in any program of this nature are volume and widespread participation. Everyone, including extended family and friends - both near and far, can start using Scrip/Gift Cards today to do regular shopping and for gift giving. We look forward to receiving your orders!
