Nick started his theatre production business in By 1999, when he formed Qdos Entertainment, he was established as a leading producer and talent manager. Over the subsequent years, he built the company into one of the largest, broad-based entertainment companies in the UK. Watford Colosseum is owned by Watford Borough Council and managed by HQ Theatres & Hospitality (HQT&H). The venue has over 1,200 seats and is a dynamic flexible space with a variety of formats which can accommodate up to 2,400 people complemented by a smaller, prestigious function room for up to 120 people called The Forum, and flexible foyer spaces. LOCATION OF BUSINESS HQ Theatres& Hospitality Limited has its headquarters office at 161 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5PN The Post-holder will be based at Watford Colosseum, Rickmansworth Road, Watford, WD17 3JN. 4 MARKETING OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION PURPOSE OF THE POST HQ Theatres and Hospitality are looking for an imaginative, hard-working individual who can support the Marketing & Sales Manager in ensuring audience targets and business objectives are met through robust and creative strategies. ACCOUNTABILITIES Key Accountabilities of the Post are to: PRESS AND PR RESPONSIBILITIES To cultivate and manage excellent relationships between Watford Colosseum and relevant media publications, in order to maximise positive coverage for the Venue, and so to contribute to ticket and hospitality sales targets; As directed by the Marketing & Sales Manager and in partnership with representatives from visiting companies, to create and manage highly effective and innovative press and PR schedules for all events; To assist with the management of press nights and press launches, including issuing invites, chasing responses and working at the event; LOCAL COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITIES To pursue and organise promotion opportunities at external events; To distribute print, with the support of a promotions team, at external events and sell tickets to forthcoming productions at Watford Colosseum; To adhere to health and safety procedures at external events and ensure risk assessments are completed and filed prior to attendance; To create, maintain and to update a database of external events, which enable access to audiences within a thirty minute drive-time of Watford; To proactively engage attendees of external events on social media, through twitter and Facebook, through conversation and competitions; B2B RESPONSIBILITIES To develop and establish relationships with local businesses which benefits marketing and sales of productions; To proactively investigate and pursue promotional opportunities with local businesses and organisations; To seek sponsorship income from relevant local businesses and organisations; ONLINE To assist with the management of the website for the venue, ensuring accuracy of information and maximisation of on-line sales at all times and ensure that the internal screens are updated; Responsible for the campaign planning of digital and social media, to include website, e-shots and social networking sites to help achieve marketing objectives; GENERAL MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES To administer all direct mail campaigns;

5 To manage the Venue s print and design requirements, including all overprinting, distribution, print production and programme production and design; To assist with detailed proofing of the seasonal brochure; To contribute to the aims of increasing & developing audiences through contribution to and delivery of the Venue Business Plan; To represent the marketing department as required at meetings and promotions; To work flexibly with colleagues fulfilling any other duties relating to the marketing for Watford Colosseum and to fulfil other duties that may be allocated by the Marketing & Sales Manager; To assist the Marketing & Sales Manager with general administrational tasks including providing sales information, updating and overseeing various internal marketing schedules and reporting; To be responsible for the co-ordination of the marketing volunteers and internships; DEPARTMENT AND ORGANISATION Ability and willingness to work not only during the weekday daytimes, but also, as required, at weekends, and on Bank Holidays; To adhere to all Group and Venue Health & Safety at Work procedures, to minimise the risk of injury and accidents, personal and to others; To attend appropriate training courses, in the interests of maintaining his / her awareness of current developments and trends; To adhere to all company policies. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The post holder will: a) Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with departmental and company Health & Safety procedures. b) Dress in accordance with Company uniform policy and wear protective clothing as issued, if applicable. c) Attend meetings as required. d) Undertake any relevant training and development that may be required and keep abreast of developments in his/her field of expertise. e) Carry out any other duties as required from time to time, taking into consideration the grade of the post and the capabilities of the post holder.
