Let s start with who we are and why we do this BUSINESS SUMMARY Spartan Motor Factors was founded by Jason, Lee and Daniel in Lee and Daniel brought with them a wealth of experience in the motor factor trade from their time working for Welsh Autoparts Distribution. With a head for good service and product knowledge, Lee knew he could achieve much more in this sector and was looking for a way to do it which represent the founding spirit of the Spartan brand. Daniel brought local knowledge and contacts for the first branch location in Newport, and Jason had spent eight years in working in finance as an Officer in the RAF. With a strong mind for negotiation and strategy, Jason was able to kickstart the business in to a firm reality, driving the Spartan brand.

3 The ethos of the business is it s customer services. At Spartan we pride ourselves on our ability to understand our customers and proactively service their needs. We also ensure that we go the extra mile when needed, maximising efficiency in our stack management also means that if we don t have a product in stock we can get out hands on it very quickly. We currently have 7 core branches located in Cardiff, Barry, Newport, Bridgend, Pontypridd, Avonmouth and Weston-Super-Mare. 4 SUPPORT Joining Spartan Motor Factors is a commitment from you to us but the agreement means we have a commitment to you also. We will give you all the training and tools needed to give you the best possible chance of achieving your branch s potential. The support package includes: Support in securing the correct funding package with preferential terms Business planning and financial projections (with your input) Comprehensive training in one of our flagship branches Onsite support when you first open your branch Ongoing monthly/quarterly meetings to discuss the performance of the branch Full HR and employee support Fully integrated stock management Software Access to a complete catalogue of parts and services at preferential buying rates Marketing and promotions Preferential rates on new vehicles, insurance and software We pride ourselves on how we service our clients and we also pride ourselves on how we support our team.

5 FINANCIAL Below we have the performance of a typical store but how well your branch does is entirely up to you. Results will vary depending on branch size, location, competition and your personal drive to succeed. Here s what we would expect from an averaged sized branch. Year 1 Year 2 Sales 604k 1m The financial performance shown is currently being achieved in our most recently opened store. There will be factors that will influence but the biggest drive to your success is you and we will give you all the support you need to reach your potential. Gross Profit 185k 320k Net Profit 47k 85k INVESTMENT Setting up a franchise costs c 150k. We have already identified lenders that will support you in both working capital and loan funding to help, however you will need a personal contribution of c 75k Startup costs are 20k working capital, 120k stock and 10k office equipment.
