This depends on what the finished product is. Rule 1: When is not applicable (Zero Rated) If we design and print 500 A5 flyers you would not have to pay on either the printed flyers or on the design work, as long as the print cost is more than the design cost, this is because the flyers are not applicable to. So, design of an A5 flyer would be 15 the printing of 500 copies would be 55 So in this case the whole job would be non-vatable. Rule 2: When is applicable (Standard Rated) If we design and print you 500 Business Cards You would have to pay on both the printed business cards and on the design work, this is because the Business Cards are applicable to. So, the design of your Business Cards would be 7.50 and the printing of 500 copies would be 57 However both items would be -able because the business cards are a applicable item.
