1 ipad App User This applicatin puts yur SalnBiz appintment bk and pint f sale at yur fingertips, s yu are free t greet and assist yur clients. Lg In 1. Dwnlad the SalnBiz app frm the ios App Stre. 2. Enter yur username and passwrd and click the Lg In buttn. Ö Central Admin, click the menu buttn in the upper left crner, and tap the Edit Payment Inf ptin t save yur Vantiv Merchant ID and Passwrd. Simple Navigatin The service staff bar stays fixed in place as yu scrll up and dwn the bk. The timeline n the left and the guiding red line help yu keep yur place. Only wrking staff will be displayed n the selected day. The Staff Filter lets yu view yur staff by yur SalnBiz schedule grups. The default is the same default in SalnBiz. Tap the time where yu wish t bk an appintment. Search fr existing clients, r add new nes. Tap the calendar icn t switch yur view t anther day. Use the Tday buttn t return t the current day. Menu Buttn The 3-line icn in the upper left crner f the app is the menu. Admins: manage merchant accunt credentials and staff access. Managers: vid prcessed credit card payments if needed. All users will tap this buttn t lg ut f the app. Clr Scheme The app displays checked in clients in grey, and checked ut clients in black. Clients wh have nt arrived are in ne f the tw clr ptins: 1. The Hide Clrs view displays new clients in red, and returning clients in blue. 2. The Shw Clrs view displays services accrding t their request reasn clrs set in SalnBiz. Ö The clr wheel buttn displays the clr legend. Zm View Use the zm buttn t view the bk in 1x r 2x zm. Yu can als use yur fingers t pinch in and ut t adjust the view. Tickets Buttn This buttn will be visible t users with access t the POS feature. Use this buttn t create a new ticket. Refresh Buttn Use the circle with arrw buttn t refresh yur bk s view, especially if it s been a few minutes since yur last actin.

2 Managing Staff Access Central Admins can tap the menu buttn, and then tap Manage Staff Access. This screen will list staff fr the lcatin*, and their current access t the app. Ö Access can be managed by individual r fr all staff at nce, by using the ptins at the tp f the Staff Access screen. 1. Yu can enable r disable lg in access by tapping the Enabled buttn t the On (green) r Off (grey) psitin. 2. Yu can give full access by selecting the All mde fr the Edit ptin. This is typically the way it wuld be used in the saln. It des nt restrict any f the features that are available. 3. Yu can limit staff access by selecting the Mine mde fr the Edit ptin. This is typically the way it wuld be used utside f the saln r when yu want t limit bking functins. In Edit Mine mde, the user wuld be able t view all staff, but nly access features n their wn bk. 4. If yur lcatin is using the Pint f Sale feature f the app, yu can turn access n r ff by selecting the apprpriate mde fr the POS ptin. * Central Admins and staff with the rle f Manager are nt shwn in this screen s that their access will nt be affected by selectins made fr all staff. Client Flw Check In 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the appintment t check in. 2. Tap the Check In buttn. Ö A shift must be pen n the designated ipad wrkstatin t check in an appintment. Ö Only appintments fr the current day can be checked in. Update Client Inf The client s infrmatin may be updated at any time during the service cycle. Updating the infrmatin n yur ipad autmatically updates the client s SalnBiz file. Ö Tap the appintment, and tap the Edit buttn. If yu d nt see the Edit ptin, yur system administratr has restricted access t this functin. Ö Hand the ipad t the client t update all f their persnal details. Ö The client taps the Save buttn t update their SalnBiz file.

3 Add Frmulas Add frmulas t a client s file frm the tablet during their visit. 1. Tap the appintment. 2. Tap the Add Frmula buttn. The frmula screen is displayed. 3. Chse the frmula type frm the drp dwn list. This list is pulled frm SalnBiz. 4. Tap in the large bx, and type the frmula ntes yu wish t enter. 5. Tap the Save buttn. 6. The ntes will be added t the client s file in SalnBiz, and can be accessed n the ipad under the Histry buttn. View Ntes and Histry Ntes 1. Frm the bk, tap the yellw nte icn in the upper right crner f an appintment t view Appintment and Custmer ntes. Histry 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the appintment f the client yu wish t view. 2. Tap the Histry buttn. 3. Review the histry fr Frmulas, Service and Prduct purchases. Ö Histry is displayed fr the last six mnths. 4. Tap the Back arrw in the upper left crner t return t the Appintment Details. Future Appintments 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the appintment f the client yu wish t view. 2. Tap the Appintments buttn. 3. Review the client s future appintments. 4. Tap the Back arrw in the upper left crner t return t the Appintment Details.

4 Recmmend Prducts 1. Frm the bk, tap the appintment f the checked in client receiving the recmmendatin. 2. Tap the Recmmend buttn. 3. Select the recmmended prducts by tapping their name. Yu will see a check mark placed next t the name when prperly selected. 4. Tap and hld the item fr the must have prduct. This places a star next t the prduct that is mst imprtant fr the client. 5. T search fr a prduct listed in the list, tap the Search icn (magnifying glass) in the upper right crner, and type in all r part f the prduct s name. Tap the Search buttn. Ö The search results will be added t the bttm f the existing prduct list. 6. Use the Back arrw in the upper left crner t return t the Appintment Details withut saving. 7. Tap the Save buttn in the upper right crner t save the prduct recmmendatins. Ö Recmmended prducts will appear in the client s ticket nte, and can be directly added t the ticket via the Recmmended Prducts buttn. Ö If a frmula type has been selected fr recmmendatins in Admin Settings, the recmmendatins will als be sent t the client s frmula histry with tday s date. Bking Appintments Bking New Clients 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the time n the day yu wish t bk an appintment. 2. Select the Create ptin. 3. Enter the client s cmplete infrmatin, as this will be saved t their client file in SalnBiz. 4. Enter the first few letters f the service name yu wish t bk, and tap the Find Service buttn. 5. Select the service yu wish t bk frm the list. 6. Select the request reasn, cnfirm the duratin, and tap the Create buttn. Bking Existing Clients 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the time n the day yu wish t bk an appintment. 2. Select the Search ptin. 3. Enter the first few letters f the client s first and last name, and tap the Search buttn. 4. Select the crrect client frm the list. 5. Select the service yu wish t bk frm the list. 6. Select the request reasn, cnfirm the duratin, and tap the Create buttn.

5 Rebking frm Appintment Fllw these steps t bk a future appintment frm the current appintment. 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the appintment f the client wishing t rebk. 2. Tap the Rebk buttn. 3. Select a preset number f weeks in the future, r select the future date frm the calendar. 4. The current appintment s service prvider s clumn will be highlighted. Tap the time yu wish t bk. Yu may chse anther service prvider if they perfrm the service; just select a time n their bk. Ö Tap the Cancel Rebking buttn in the upper right crner at any time t cancel the rebk actin. 5. If the client wishes t bk the same service as tday s, tap the Same Service ptin. Select the request reasn, cnfirm the duratin, and tap the Create buttn. 6. If the client wishes t bk a different service than tday s, tap the Change Service ptin. Select the service frm the prvided list. Select the request reasn, cnfirm the duratin, and tap the Create buttn. Ö The list f services is determined by yur system administratr in Service Regimens. 7. Tap the Tday buttn t return t tday s bk. Bking frm Histry 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the time n the day yu wish t bk an appintment. 2. Tap the Search ptin. 3. Enter the first few letters f the client s first and last name, and tap the Search buttn. 4. Tap the client s name frm the list, r tap the Clse buttn and search again. 5. The client s last 6 mnths f service histry will be displayed. Tap the Rebk buttn next t the service in the list yu d like t rebk. 6. Use the Back arrw in the upper left crner t select a different service. 7. Select the request reasn, cnfirm the duratin, and tap the Create buttn. 8. Tap the Tday buttn t return t tday s bk. Bking Additinal Services If a client has an appintment n the bk already fr the day f a new appintment, the user will be ntified during the Create Appintment prcess. Ö The current appintment being made will be jined with the existing appintment fr the same day fr streamlined check in and check ut.

6 Bking Services with Finishes Fllw the steps t bk an appintment that includes a finish time, such as clr services. 1. After selecting a request reasn, and cnfirming the duratin f the main service, select a service prvider t perfrm the service befre tapping the Create buttn. Ö The selectin will default t the service prvider perfrming the service. Ö Chse the N Finish ptin t bk the service withut a finish. Ö All wrking staff are listed in the list belw the abve ptins. Mving Appintments Fllw the steps belw t mve an appintment t a different time, day, r service prvider. 1. Tap the appintment yu wish t mve, and tap the Mve Appt buttn. Ö Yu can als tap and hld the appintment fr mment lnger t enter mve mde. 2. A blue bar is displayed at the tp f yur screen that hlds the service infrmatin. Tap the Cancel buttn n the blue bar t cancel the mve. 3. The selected appintment will have a brder arund it, making it pp ut. Other appintments n the bk will appear a lighter clr fr the same effect. 4. Select the time n the day yu wish t mve the service t by tapping the bk at that time. 5. If the service cannt be mved t the selected time, a red bar will be displayed with an explanatin. Tap the x t clse this message, r wait fr it t g away after a few secnds. 6. Yu will remain in mve mde until yu successfully mve the service, r cancel the mve. 7. When a time is selected that will allw the mve, a green bar will be displayed with a message that the appintment has been mved. Ö Services must be mved separately. Fr example, a clr service will need t be mved, and then its fllwing cut will need t be mved. 8. Tap the Tday buttn t return t tday s bk. Deleting Appintments Yur system administratr will determine yur ability t delete appintments. 1. Frm the appintment bk, tap the appintment yu wish t delete and then tap the Delete buttn. 2. Select the Delete reasn frm the list. If yu change yur mind, tap the Cancel buttn t return t the Appintment Details. Ö Services will be deleted separately. The nly exceptin is services with finishes attached t them. The finish will be deleted when the service is.

7 Service Checkut Fllw these steps t engage the ticket frm yur appintment bk n yur ipad. 1. Frm the bk, tuch the appintment yu d like t check ut. Make sure the appintment has already been checked in. 2. Tuch the Check Out buttn. 3. Yu will see the ticket with the service(s) bked fr the client listed. 4. If applicable, the client s custmer nte will be displayed at the tp f the ticket. 5. T add services t the ticket, tuch the Add Service buttn. Enter the service name in the smart search field. Select the Request Reasn frm the drp dwn menu. This is required t add the service if yur SalnBiz setting, Request Type Require retentin/request type? is set t Yes. Select the service prvider frm the Search services fr: drp dwn menu. The prices f the services will be adjusted t that f yur selected service prvider. If there is nt a service staff n the ticket, the service sale will g t the staff that is lgged in. Tuch the Add Service buttn t add the service t the ticket. 6. T add prducts t the ticket, tuch the Add Prduct buttn. Enter the name f the prduct. Select the staff receiving credit fr the sale frm the menu. If there is nt a service staff n the ticket, the prduct sale will g t the staff that is lgged in. Adjust the quantity if the custmer is purchasing mre than ne. Tuch the Add Prduct buttn t add the prduct t the ticket 7. T add prducts that were recmmended during the visit, tuch the Recmmended Prducts buttn. Select the staff receiving credit fr the sale frm the menu. If there is nt a service staff n the ticket, the prduct sales will g t the staff that is lgged in. Adjust the quantity if the custmer is purchasing mre than ne. Tuch the Add Prduct buttn t add the prduct t the ticket. 8. T add a gratuity amunt, tuch the Add Tip buttn. The client will als have an pprtunity t add a tip after their credit card is swiped. Tuch ne f the pre-set amunts r tuch Other t enter a custm tip. Enter the amunt r percent. Tuch t Split the amunt between the service prviders listed n the ticket. This will divide the tip amunt accrding t the service ttal fr each staff. Tuch Staff Member t enter an amunt by staff assciated with the ticket. Tuch the Add Tip buttn.

8 9. If at anytime yu need t remve an item frm a ticket yu can simply tuch the garbage can icn. Users will nt be able t remve services frm a ticket that are n the appintment bk. 10. T add a discunt t a line item, tuch the Discunt buttn. Enter the name f the discunt in the smart search field. Only the applicable discunts will appear in the list. Tuch the Add Discunt buttn. T remve a discunt, tuch the red x icn next t the discunt amunt. Adding Gift Cards Fllw these steps t add a gift card t a ticket. 1. Frm the mbile ticket, tuch the Add GiftCard buttn. 2. Type the gift certificate number. This is ptinal. If yu are nt issuing a physical card, nce yu create a gift card, the system will autmatically generate a unique number. 3. Select the gift type frm the drp dwn menu. 4. Determine if and when the gift card will expire. 5. Type in the amunt f the gift card. 6. Enter a message (ptinal). 7. Search fr the recipient name t register the card under their accunt (ptinal step). If left blank, the card will be fund under the purchaser s name in SalnBiz. 8. Tuch the Add Gift Card buttn. 9. Yu ll see the gift card listed n yur ticket. 10. Cntinue t prcess the ticket as usual. Creating a new ticket Creating new tickets will be mstly used fr prduct nly tickets r gift card sales. It is a best practice t reserve service appintments n the bk s that staff prductivity is prperly calculated. 1. Frm appintment bk screen, tuch the Tickets buttn. 2. Tuch New Custmer Ticket t create a ticket fr a specific custmer. Use the search t find the custmer, r click the Create buttn t add a custmer. 3. Tuch the New Walk-in Ticket buttn t create a ticket fr a walk-in custmer. 4. Cntinue t add items t the ticket and prcess as usual. Prcessing a ticket These steps will shw yu hw t prcess a ticket using varius payment types. 1. Frm a ticket, chse the payment type the custmer wuld like t use. 2. Tuch Apply Giftcard. Yu can search fr the giftcard by serial number. Type the gift card number and click Search.

9 Yu can als search fr the giftcard by custmer. Tuch the Search Same as Ticket buttn if the giftcard is under the current custmer s file. Search fr a different custmer if it s registered t anther custmer. Tuch Select when yu have lcated the custmer. Select the gift card fr the custmer by tuching the Apply buttn. Yu may see mre than ne. 3. Tuch Apply Stre Credit (yu will nly see this ptin if a custmer has a psitive balance n file). Enter the amunt f the stre credit available yu wuld like t use and tuch the Apply buttn. 4. Tuch Apply Prmtin (yu will nly see this ptin if it has been cnfigured by an administratr). Enter the prmtin amunt and click the Apply buttn. Yu cannt use the prmtin pay type in excess f the amunt due. 5. Tuch Pay with Cash. Enter the amunt f the cash payment n the keypad. The amunt entered must satisfy the amunt wed. The change amunt will be displayed when yu are dne. 6. Tuch Pay with Credit Card. Swipe the custmer s credit card and hand them the ipad t cmplete the transactin. Custmer can add a gratuity t their credit card payment. The custmer can review the details f the ticket and sign with their finger, then tuch the Accept buttn. 7. Fr ther payment types, tuch the Cmplete Transactin buttn. 8. Select t the receipt by tuching the Receipt buttn. 9. If the custmer des nt have an address n file, yu can enter an address and save it t their file and send the by clicking the Send buttn. 10. Or simply tuch the Hme buttn in the upper left crner t return t the appintment bk Viding a Mbile Checkut Credit Card Transactin 1. Tap the buttn in the upper right crner f the hme page. 2. Tap the Vid Payments ptin. Ö Only Managers and Central Administratrs will see this ptin. 3. All prcessed payments frm the current day will be displayed. 4. Tap the Vid buttn t vid that payment. 5. When the rder has been vided, tap k n the cnfirmatin. Ö The ticket in SalnBiz will still need t be vided. Daily Operatins Viewing the Mbile POS reprt daily is a best practice s that yu can check yur mbile transactins against yur tickets in SalnBiz. 1. Frm SalnBiz Central, click Reprts. 2. Select Mbile POS Activity (Apps) reprt frm yur system reprts. 3. Click the Run buttn. 4. Click the link t view and resend receipts. 5. Clink the link t view the signature.
