1 MTA - NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT 2 BROADWAY NEW YORK, NY DIVISION OF MATERIEL web.mta.info/nyct/procure/nyctproc.htm Vreplies@nyct.com NOTICE -OF ADDENDUM ADDENDUM # 1 BID OPENING/DUE DATE: 10/28/2015

2 ADDENDUM #1 Contract # IFB RepairlReplacement of Brakes on Medium Heavy Duty Non Revenue Vehicles for NYC Transit DEAR PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS: The Bid Opening Date is being extended from 2:00 pm Wednesday October 2pt, 2015 to 2:00pm Wednesday, October 28 th, 2015 Please note that the price schedule has been amended is included in this Addendum # I. The amended price schedule contained herein should be substituted for the prior version that was in the bid packages received by prospective bidders. The following questions/requests for clarification were submitted are followed by italicized relevant responses. How would it be decided which contract would take precedence when repairs fall under more than one contract umbrella? The situation would likely arise not only when repairs are included in more than one repair category, but also when a vendor might hold more than one contract. It is up to the discretion of the Authority which contract the repairs will be done under. Who is responsible for towing a vehicle that was picked up for repairs by the contractor that while driving the brakes are found to be unsafe? Will the MTA send out its own truck tow it to the vendor? Ifthe vendor is instructed to tow it, at what rate is the tow to be billed; emergency tow off roadway price or contract bid price? The vendor is responsible for towing vehicles to fram NYCT locations as per the towing line items on the price schedule which have been delineated to include emergency towing (see line item 3A 4A). Please use the price schedule contained herein going forward as it reflects the aforementioned change. Please be advised that Addenda notification is sent via to the address each firm provided in the Bid Document Order Form. Bidders may obtain copies of all Addenda on the NYC Transit website at Reminder: Be sure to acknowledge this Addendum in the place provided in page 15 of the Bid document.
