The hirer paying the prescribed bond or fee. You will receive: A confirmation letter outlining the times, dates & venues approved. This will also include notification of any bond payment commitments. Information sheets relevant to your booking including the venue specifics, security, catering & alcohol requirements and audio visual equipment. You may also be requested to make an appointment with the venue coordinator to undertake a venue inspection to discuss issues such as access and the use of equipment. CANCELLATIONS made within 7 days of the event may result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the actual hire rate. This includes bookings where hire fees have been waived (see community events below) The permit holder agrees to indemnify the Council and agents from and against all actions, costs, claims, damages, charges and expenses whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against them arising out of or in relation to use of the facility. For major events/hiring and where requested by Council, the permit holder shall take out and keep current a public risk insurance policy in the name of the permit holder insuring the hirer for the minimum sum of ten ( 1 OJ million dollars ($10,000,000) against all actions, costs, claims, damages, charges and expenses whatsoever which may be brought or made or claimed against the permit holder in relation to the activity. The permit holder, where appropriate, shall ensure that it is licensed or registered to carry out the activity authorised by the issuing of this permit, and shall comply with and give all notices required by any Act of Parliament, Ordinance, Regulation or By-law relating to the activity. cleaning A charge for basic cleaning is covered in the hire cost. If additional cleaning is deemed necessary, a fee of $45 per hour may be charged. Cleaning products are provided for your use in most venues if required. Please see your specific venue sheet for details of locations. Main Corner venues are open to the public 7 days per week and MUST be cleaned prior to opening. Special access may be organised via the Venue Coordinator, Talie Teakle, ph All waste is to be deposited in the waste and recycling bins provided. For functions that will generate excessive waste or continue over multiple days additional bins may be requested. Repairing and/or replacing any damaged or soiled furniture, fixtures or fittings will be the responsibility of the hirer. If any necessary repair or replacement is not undertaken within a reasonable time, Council may repair and/or replace and recover the costs from the hirer. community events Community events may apply for a contribution towards the hire of facilities. If you intend on seeking sponsorship please ask for a Main Corner Event Sponsorship application form. In the event of a successful application, a cleaning fee will still apply, and you will be required to adhere to the sponsorship protocol including recognition of support and evaluation processes.

5 the main corner Venue Information Sheet The Main Corner hosts a variety of venues available for hire both in and out of our public operating hours ( 1 0am-5pm weekdays, 1 0am-3pm weekends). Bookings out of hours within this section of the complex may require Wilson's Security to guard the front door from the time of setup, and lock and alarm the building at the conclusion of the event. the balcony - With some of the best views in the city, the Balcony of The Main Corner is perfect for a morning tea or intimate event for up to 60 people. It can be booked as a shared space during business hours, or for private functions after hours. It's also a great break area to use if you are having a seminar in The Dress Circle or King's Floor. There are arm chairs, sofas and coffee tables. We can also supply trestle tables, the mobile bar and coffee carts to this venue. the dress circle - The ultimate venue for presentations, featuring tiered seating for 108 people and incorporating the original King's Theatre balcony stairs and balistrades. This venue has multiple audio/visual capabilities including data projection, internet, DVD/bluray, lectern & microphone and roving microphone capabilities. By special request we can also utilise the cinema projection and surround system used by our feature film, VOLCANO. If displaying video it is a requirement that the hirer has obtained all screening licensing requirements. the king's floor - Another multi-purpose space, by day the King's Floor acts as a cultural learning hub, with projections and interactive computer kiosks. This area can be utilised for special events and has the capability to run several projected images or footage. The room has a capacity of 220 and has been used to host daytime expos, or private functions in the evening. We can arrange a portable PA system suitable for speeches for the event, and the mobile bar can be brought in to use as a serving area, however there is no sound system for this venue and you would need to arrange that through a separate provider. --- ' - '.. -,.:J,tk : -: L I ' I -.
