INTRODUCTION Welcome to an all-day intensive study on the Great Commission. For hundreds of years committed Christians have gone to the ends of the earth in response to our Lord s command to take the Gospel to everyone... everywhere During the next few hours we hope that you will be captured by the vision of a world that is increasingly being reached with the Message of the love and forgiveness of Jesus. We hope you will join us in making your life count for zero. Zero languages without the Scriptures Zero people groups without Disciple Makers Zero people who have not heard the Gospel Zero oral learners without an oral Bible Zero villages or neighborhoods without a church We pray that you will become men and women of Issachar. More than 3,000 years ago, God raised up a cadre of 200 men and their families, from the tribe of Issachar, to give leadership to His people because they Understood the times and knew what Israel should do. As we meet together, we want to look in the Scriptures at what God has asked us to do as it relates to the fulfillment of His Great Commission. Our prayer is that by the time you complete this day: 1. You will know, from Scripture, what God s direction is for the Global Church. 2. You will know the task remaining in each Element of the Great Commission. 3. You will commit to use your influence, expertise, and designated giving to make a difference. In His Name, The Issachar Initiative 3

INVITE GATHER A COMMUNITY Getting the Word Out: This day is all about reaching the nations for Christ. As such it is paramount to invite people within your sphere of influence to help them gain awareness of the unfinished work, and to learn how they can use their time, talent, treasure, influence and the truth that they have been entrusted with to participate with God in finishing the Great Commission. - Church Church is one of the few places which touches every sector of society. Utilize this widespread reach to contact members from your community who can influence and impact your city for the nations. - Social Media Social media is multiplicative in its reach and therefore is one of the easiest ways to advertise your Summit Livestream. Feel free to utilize the Issachar social media outlets in combination with your own statuses and & facebook.com/issacharinitiative - Word of Mouth This is one of the easiest outlets to overlook, but being vocal and personal in your invitations to a Summit Livestream is one of the easiest forms of publicity. Invite members of your church, as well as fellow brothers and sisters from your neighborhood, work and community to join you in learning how to further the Kingdom. 4

Bringing People In: In order to have a smooth Summit Livestream try to keep a running list of people who have agreed to signup and RSVP. An easy way to do this would be to create a Google Form. This will aid you in gathering numbers so that you can have enough room, seating, and food (if you so decide) to host members of your community. 5

SETUP SETTING THE STAGE Lay of the Land: It s important that you know the general structure of the day. You can find a full schedule of events here. This will help you pace the day and discussions. Venue: Obviously a key for this event is having a platform to broadcast the content. It would be best to confirm a location prior to full promotion to ensure a venue. However, once you have promoted the event and have an idea of how many will be in attendance, you need to solidify a venue which meets the capacity of your group. Partnering with your church would be very beneficial in a successful Summit Livestream, but is not necessary. Feel free to be creative, for example, lead an event at a home, movie theater, etc. (make it a widespread community event) Audio & Visual: Having quality audio and visual will enhance the broadcast of the Summit Livestream to your group. Having these setup and tested prior to your event will assist in broadcasting the message efficiently and effectively. If you are hosting this at your church, make sure to have someone explain the setup clearly or find someone who can aid in the setup and running of the entire event. 6

You will be able to stream the Summit as long as you have a strong internet connection and a computer. Other accepted viewing platforms are: ipad iphone Roku (for TV) Android phones and tablets. Other display tools that could aid in the presentation of the conference would be: Large TV Monitor Projector Speaker/Stereo system **Make sure to have all necessary adapters and converters to hook the computer to these display and audio outlets. Technical Setup & Details After setting up the audio and visual elements, you will want to test the video (we suggest testing it prior to the date of the event). When setting up the actual video for the event you will go to issacharinitiative.org/live. Then you will want to move the browser/video window to the appropriate screen that will be viewed by the attendees and make it full screen. There will be a button in the bottom right hand corner which will help you adjust the video resolution and volume for optimal video and sound quality. All access to the livestream is FREE for viewers. However, there will be a window asking some questions regarding your host site (e.g., location, number of attendees, host s , etc). Afterwords, a password will 7

display that you can use to access the Summit Livestream. Please note: There are certain speakers who must remain anonymous for their safety. Therefore, those broadcasting times will be paused for those watching the livestream and instead will be opportunities for you to lead small group discussions on the questions. Printed/Distributable Materials and Lessons: Prior to the Summit launch, the keynotes for the presentation will be released on issacharinitiative.org/resources. You will be able to distribute those documents and direct your attendees to them if they want to follow along on their smart phone, tablet or computer. The Issachar Initiative does not provide any printed materials for the livestream sites but highly suggests bringing notebooks to jot down any ideas that speak to you or come to mind throughout the sessions. 8

IMPLEMENTATION STARTING THE CONVERSATION Table Talks: Throughout the day there will be opportunities for table discussions. There will be dedicated sections of table talks to unpack the topics. Likewise, as mentioned above, certain sections will need to be censored for the safety of the speakers, so there will be pockets of time for breaks and free discussion amongst your group. You will be able to use the keynotes provided before the Summit to help guide your discussion. Meals: The day of the Summit, there will be a scheduled break for lunch. Depending upon your time zone and schedule we recommend optional opportunities for breakfast and dinner. We recommend that you find a way to provide a meal whether through donations or catering from local restaurants so that the group can stay together and continue to engage in the content and conversation over the meal. Depending on how you initially promote the event, you may be able to collect money for food while people sign up. If you are able to host a breakfast try to make it an intentional time to get to know those in attendance so that the conversations throughout the day can develop quickly. Lunch will be one of the largest portions of time that you have to facilitate discussion regarding the topics. Be intentional to use this time to not only rehash what has been said, but get the personality of your group to come 9

out through exploring solutions and ideas on how each of us can move and encourage others to move from mountaintop experience into action, toward the fulfillment of the Great Commission. Our goal is to provide vision and clarity to help mobilize our local spheres to assist, collaborate, and join with frontier mission efforts to reach the unengaged, unreached people groups in our world today. Reflection: It is very important that the attendees do not get stuck solely in the ideological aspects of the conference but are able to pull the concepts into real world application. Make sure to create space to discuss and reflect on how the aspects of the conference can manifest in the daily, practical lives of believers. Take advantage of the diverse group you have to pull ideas that could further mobilize your community for the advancement of the kingdom. Feel free to create time afterwards for a final dinner to discuss the day and unpack the take-aways. 10
