The City of Humboldt is requesting Contractors to provide pricing for the following: Grass Sod standard features included in the pricing. Separate pricing for all optional features listed must be provided in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of this Tender. 2. Tenders will be received by the Community and Leisure Service Department until Tuesday, April 10 th at 4:00pm Saskatchewan Time, Tenders received after 4:00pm will not be considered. Upon closing, all Tenders will be opened at a Public Tender Opening, immediately after 4:00pm, at the Humboldt Uniplex, th Street, HUMBOLDT SK. 3. All unit prices must be clearly indicated. 4. Return one (1) completed copy of your Tender submission. Tenders should be submitted: a. Delivered in person to the Humboldt Uniplex th Street, Humboldt, SK b. Contractor should follow up to ensure that bids submitted by fax have been received. d. ed to: leisuredirector@humboldt.ca The Tender must be signed in the space provided on the Tender Bid Form with the signature of a signing officer of the firm bidding. If a joint bid is submitted, it must be signed and addressed on behalf of the Contractor. 5. The City of Humboldt reserves the right to cancel any order or tender if the goods or services are unsatisfactory. 6. Prices quoted are to be net prices and are to remain firm during the effective dates of this Tender. All pricing provided to be quoted in Canadian Funds inclusive of all applicable duties and fees at the time of Tender, where applicable, and shall include all delivery charges to the City of Humboldt Uniplex th Street, Humboldt SK. 7. The obligations and rights of Contractors shall be those expressed herein. No terms, either implied or verbally expressed shall affect, restrict or in any way vary the written terms of this invitation to Tender. Not to limit the generality of the foregoing, no terms may be implied by virtue of custom or usage.

2 9. When a discrepancy is found between the Unit Price and the Extension, the Unit Price will govern in all instances. The City reserves the right to correct such errors in extensions, re-total all the amounts shown and consider the corrected total price as the Contractor s intention when Tenders are compared. 10. The rights of the parties shall be governed by and the contractual terms shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan. 11. With respect to Tendering or Bids, Requests for Proposals and Multi-year Contracts, in all cases where it does not contravene Federal or Provincial legislation governing the City, the City reserves the right to refuse any or all Tenders, Bids or Proposals where the City deems it to be in the best interest of the City to do so having regard, but not limited to questions of quality supply and service, timelines, performance trustworthiness, solvency, monies owing or due to the City and the existence or potential of legal disputes or conflicts with the City of Humboldt 12. The name and address of the Contractor must be clearly indicated on the front envelope. 13. Past history of successfully completing similar contracts will be taken into consideration. 14. All Quotations will be awarded in accordance with the City of Humboldt Purchasing Policy. 15. The applicant must provide proof of liability insurance of not less than $2,000,000. PROJECT DETAILS 1. In conjunction with the Horizon School Division and the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, the City of Humboldt is seeking a Contractor to supply Grass Sod for the completion of a multi-use green space at Centennial Park. 2. The green space will be used for recreational activities, including, but not limited to: gym classes, minor sports programs like soccer, adult sports programs like touch football and soccer, high school football practices and other casual use. 3. An above ground irrigation system will be purchased to ensure the sod establishes and be able to irrigate the space on an as needed basis in the future. 4. The Tender Bid Form breaks the project down into two parts: 5. The City may have community volunteers available to help with the installation portion of the Grass Sod project. Therefore, the Tender Form has been broken down into two Parts: a. Supply and Delivery Supply and deliver installation ready sod to site b. Installation In the event that we are not able to find volunteers to provide installation, please provide a cost estimate (if services applicable) to install the delivered sod. Note: Contractors unable to provide installation will still be considered for Part A if they are able to satisfy the requirements of the Tender. 6. Spring delivery of Sod is preferred, but a later delivery will not disqualify a Contractor from consideration. 7. Ranking Criteria: Bids will be evaluated using the criteria below: a. Completeness of Bid PASS/FAIL b. References/Past Experience PASS/FAIL c. Schedule of Completion 10 d. Cost Bidders shall visit the site to establish the extent of work and limitations imposed by existing conditions. No allowance will be made for failure to make such an examination.
