3 Introduction Welcome to Oasis! All of us at Smart Travel Group welcome you. Under the Smart Travel Group umbrella stands a variety of successful businesses. You have just joined the independent affiliate division called O.A.S.I.S. which is an acronym for Outside Agent Sales Integration System. By integrating your business with ours we can help you grow your business and succeed in these challenging times. We will do that by returning to you the entire commission earned on each booking 100%. These commissions are substantial because of our buying power. We know that each independent affiliate has a specific business model. So we partner with you in the way that best fits your model. We encourage you to retain your own business identity and branding on business cards, websites, and marketing materials. And we are always open to your comments and suggestions. This information booklet will help get you started with OASIS. We will be changing and adding to it from time to time. You will receive updates by . So let s start with the most important topic.how to make money! Section 1: How To Make Money (Booking) The first thing you need to know is how to book a reservation. We recognize that every agent has their preferred method of booking whether by Power Agent, Sabre Cruise, a supplier booking engine, or by phone. The method you use is your decision. If you have signed up for Power Agent you will receive a login. If you are using supplier websites to book you will receive logins from us and/or set them up for yourself. You can also book directly with a supplier over the phone. You may use one of these methods or a combination of all four. It s up to you. Regardless of the method you will need the following information: Identify yourself with Palm Coast Travel (PCT) and use our phone number of Our IATAand CLIA # is To get paid for your bookings you will need to FAX YOUR BOOKING FORM to Accounting at There is a booking form located in the back of this booklet. Please remember that commissions cannot be paid until a booking form is submitted. Your booking will then be entered into ClientBase. which will take hours. You will be able to log into ClientBase and see your bookings. Reservations booked in Power Agent merge automatically with ClientBase and a booking form is not needed, but it is suggested. To learn more about ClientBase please go to Click on Training>ClientBase Browser. Here you will find recorded trainings, Webex classes that you can enroll in, and an Overview PDF under documentation. If a booking changes after the booking form has been submitted (i.e. transfers added) please the changes to Accounting@smartcruiser.com. 1

4 Section 2: Booking Fees Because we give you 100% commission on each booking, a fee is charged to you OR to your client s credit cardit, whichever you prefer. The following fee schedule is mandatory. Fees will be charged to the agent s credit card on file unless an alternate credit card is given. If an alternate credit card is used then the fee amount and the alternate credit card must be indicated on the Booking Form. You may want to charge your client a higher fee than we charge you. You can then pocket the difference. Just indicate this on the booking form in the comments field. A booking fee is charged for each separate supplier at time of deposit. So the more you book on one record with one supplier, the fewer fees to be paid. There is no fee on bookings of $300 or less excluding air. Booking Fee $29 per booking per supplier (Example: $29 for the cruise, $29 for the 5-day land package and $0 for the $150 car rental.) This fee is charged when a deposit is received on a booking. If there is no deposit required then the fee will be charged when the commission is paid. Please fax your booking form to Attn: Accounting. Cancel Fee $29 per booking If a client cancels after final payment has been made a $29 cancel fee will be charged. Please fax in Cancellation Form and indicate if the client s credit card or the agent s card is to be charged. Re-Pricing Our proprietary software technology is always searching for lower cruise fares on deposited bookings. When we discover a fare has dropped the agent will have two choices: 1. Offer the lower price to the client for a $29 Re-price fee. Agent will receive the lower commission. 2. The client will be charged the original fare at final payment. The agency will pay the lower fare on the cruise booking. The agent receives the new commission plus 50% of the extra income on the booking. No Re-price fee is charged. Air Fees $20 per person 2

5 Technology Fee There will be a $59 per month technology fee if the affiliate chooses to use our Power Agent booking Engine. This fee is waived for the next month if five(5) booking fees have been paid during the previous month. Travel Insurance There is NO FEE for booking itravelinsured. 8 Please note that you are not limited to booking with the above suppliers. Suppliers outside of our network may not offer as high a commission, however. Section 4: Your Toolkit Power Agent: The centerpiece of The Revelex Technology Suite, Power Agent, is a robust desktop application. Among its many features and benefits, Power Agent enables Agents to book travel from one of many sources within the same search parameters. Power Agent is connected to 17 cruise lines, and Amadeus. You can book cars, hotels, and air, but its main function is booking cruises. To use the system please login at To veiw a training guide that will help you familiarize yourself with PowerAgent please login into PowerAgent>Admin>Training Guide. You should already have your login information. The Tech Support number is Option #8. For those agents using Power Agent to pull leads please pull only one lead at a time. Finish that lead before pulling another. Here are a couple of things to remember: ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU CANCEL YOUR POWER AGENT BOOKINGS IN POWER AGENT. IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL A CRUISE AND THAT BOOKING IS MOVED INTO ONE OF OUR GROUPS YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT BOOKING. ALSO SHORE EXCURSIONS, INSURANCE, HOTEL, & CAR VENDORS DO NOT GET THE CANCELLATION MESSAGE FROM POWER AGENT. ALWAYS LOG OFF WHEN YOU ARE FINISHIED USING POWER AGENT! ClientBase: (Free) ClientBase is the dedicated CRM tool designed specifically for travel agencies providing complete profile, contact and trip management abilities. You can set reminders and store conversations. ClientBase provides the information and efficiencies for agents to develop and maintain client relationships, as well as increase productivity. This system will allow you to run production reports for yourself any time you wish. It also integrates with our consortium - Signature Travel Network for marketing opportunities which only cost $50 per year. Please go to to log in. Always set this as a preferred site. To do this on Internet Explorer go to: Tools>Internet Options>Security>Set at Low or Default Level and add to Trusted sites. Trams, the parent company of ClientBase has excellent training webinars. SabreCruise: (Free) is a free, time-saving online cruise shopping and booking tool that doesn't require any downloads. Delivering direct access to comprehensive content from the world's largest cruise lines, you can view fares, commissions, negotiated and group rates, itineraries, special services, and more 6

9 all in one place. Skip the hassles of phone calls and the endless hours spent on hold with cruise reservation reps. Sabre Cruises displays rich content from various cruise lines at the press of a button, and automates booking, saving you even more time. To learn the program click on then>business Tools>Sabre Cruises>Training on the left sidebar. This will take you to Quick Reference and training options. Section 5: Signature Travel Network Signature is a network of over 6,000 travel professionals who share one objective: to serve the unique needs of discerning travelers. Signature Travel Network is a co-operative of the travel industry's leading retail travel agencies with more than 320 office locations who serve thousands of clients from around the world. The network, established more than 50 years ago, generates sales in excess of $4.5 billion. This buying power is leveraged to deliver the best value to your clients. You are now a member of Signature Travel Network so please take advantage of all it has to offer. Use your login to peruse the website. There are Webex trainings about using the Signature website. Click on Support,, Trainings, & Meetings on the left sidebar >scroll to Webex Training Sessions Featuring Signature Intranet! Sign up for as many trainings as you like. Here are a few areas you may want to take notice of: Signature Hotel Program After logging in click on the Hotel&Resorts tab. Then click on the Quick Reference Guide. This will take you to a list of every hotel that Signature has negotiated with. Some have free spa treatments or free museum visits. All hotels include breakfast for two which can be a $100 value in some cities. Check it out! When you click on the Suppliers tab it will list all preferred suppliers. Click on the name of the supplier and it will give you all the information you need to know about that company. On the Home Page click on CruiseFinder. Here you can search for the best values, special group promotions, theme cruises, Private Collections cruises with hosts, etc. There is also a TourFinder for land packages. When you find a great offer for your client then just click on Send Offers to Your Clients. Put in the offer number, the client and click . The rest is done for you! The E-marketing Center is a tool that can help you compete in today s marketplace. It promotes you and your business on a weekly basis automatically. Set it up once and use your saved time to sell. This product will drive sales to you. Do not overlook this service. To register sign into Signature and go to this link: FormJune05.pdf. Then print and mail in with a $50 check. If I write everything about SignatureTravel Network this will be a book not a booklet. You must take a couple of hours and look through the site for yourself and take the training.. 10 Section 6: Insurance ITravelInsured has been designated the preferred supplier for Oasis Agents. For information and to book this travel insurance click on Use the following login and add your address: User: 1823A Password: oasis2 The default commission is set at 35%. This can be changed to whatever you choose. You can, for example, set it at 0, pay a lower cost, and offer insurance as a value added. Or you can increase the default and earn a greater commission. It is your choice. Commission will not be paid on any other travel insurance vendor. You cannot book iti for your clients unless you also have a cruise or land booking with Palm Coast Travel. When you login to the itravelinsured website click on Webinars for training. E&O insurance is provided by Palm Coast Travel for Oasis Agents. Section 7: Groups Groups are set up in three different ways. 1) Palm Coast Travel holds group space on most sailings of NCL,HAL, and Princess. You will know if there is PCT group space when you call to make a booking or by checking specific sailings in POLAR, BookNCL, Sabre Cruises and Power Agent. 2) Signature Travel Network will also set up group space for special promotions. You will find these groups on their site under CruiseFinder. It will list all the exclusive amenities and pricing for each group. Please note that Signature sailings will also be listed in all booking engines. 3) Individual Oasis Agents can block group space. If you want to organize a group on a sailing that already has a PCT or Signature group then please contact us. We will handle situations like this on a case by case basis. Whenever you confirm a group with a cruise line please or fax the group contract to Accounting. Section 8: Iatan & CLIA I.D. Cards Agents with current Iatan cards or agents that would like to apply for the first time can visit As long as you meet Iatan requirements you can receive your card under Palm Coast Travel. Eligibility Requirements - The applicant must meet ALL following conditions: 1. Be an owner, employee or an independent contractor of an IATAN accredited location. 2. Be registered with IATAN. 3. Devote a minimum of 20 hours per week to the business of selling travel. 4. Earn a minimum of USD 5,000 in salary and/or commissions in the prior 12 months. 5. Be at least 18 years of age.
