Welcome Week 2013 will see a new intake of 6,000 students and over 12,000 returning students pass through the Guild, many of whom will have no prior knowledge of student life or the city of Birmingham - there is no better time to promote and advertise to this dynamic market. 3 Welcome Week Onsite Activity & Experiential The Welcome Week (Freshers) Fair is one of the largest in the country with approximately 50 companies exhibiting on each of the two days and upwards of 20,000 students attending. It s the ideal platform for both local and national companies to interact face-to-face with potential customers. The fair is at the centre of the Welcome Week experience, proving popular with students of all years. Welcome Week Fair Dates: Monday 22nd September & Tuesday 23rd September Fair Stalls* & Packages: Premium 2 Day Stall Package 1,600 (+VAT) Premium Day 1 Stall (22nd September only) 995 (+VAT) (Premium stalls are located in the first quarter of the fair and come with wifi, electricity, 1 table and 2 chairs. Premium 2 day package spans the 23rd & 24th September). Standard 2 Day Stall package 1,095 (+VAT) Day 1 Stall (22nd September only) 795 (+VAT) Day 2 Stall (23rd September only) 595 (+VAT) (Standard stalls include wifi, 1 table and 2 chairs. 4 Welcome Print & Distribution Posters: Visual advertising is still one of the most effective ways of making an impression on students. We offer all of our clients the opportunity to advertise their service, product or event, directly to the students via this medium in prime foot fall locations. 5 Welcome Bags 6,000 Welcome Bags containing freebies, samples and leaflets are given out over the course of Welcome Week. The bag of goodies is very popular with students of all years and many organisations use them as an opportunity to give new students a taste of what they ve got to offer. The bags work particularly well if you already have your own leaflets, vouchers, or samples that you would like to be distributed in a cost-effective way. 6 Welcome Week Guide The official guide to what s on at the Guild of Students over the Welcome Week fortnight. 10,000 copies of this publication will be produced and distributed across the University campus (including: University Accommodation and the local student area). It s the perfect opportunity to let University of Birmingham students know what s on their doorstep. In previous years the Guild s website has been extremely valuable to all students, registering over 130,000 hits during last year s Welcome Week alone. If you want your messages to be shown in the main entrance to the Guild, where students meet then this is the opportunity to you. There is limited availability for the screens so book early to avoid disappointment.
