2 1 SAP GTS Acceleratr (New) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, yu can use SAP GTS Acceleratr t access the relevant data in the SAP HANA database as quickly as pssible. T d this, start the respective prgram in the SAP area menu. The prgram quickly prvides the data fr analysis purpses and fr further prcessing, if needed. 3 2 Alert Mnitrs (New) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, yu can use alert mnitrs. Alert mnitrs belng t SAP Cmputing Center Management System (CCMS). Depending n which message type is selected, yu can define at which message level the alert is triggered. Yu can als define which bjects and subbjects the alert takes int cnsideratin. 4 3 Display f Time Zne (Changed) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, the GTS system displays the Created On and Changed On dates and times in the lcal time zne f the user, instead f the time zne f the system. The lcal time f a user is determined by the gegraphic area in which the user is lcated, and is calculated n the basis f Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), als knwn as Universal Time Crdinated (UTC). 4

5 4 Cmpliance Management (Enhanced) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, the fllwing features are available: Display f Technically Incmplete Dcuments and Payments The results screen nw includes a field fr entering ntes. Fr example, if multiple users wrk in the system, ne f the users can make a nte that he r she is wrking n the incmplete dcument r payment. Yu edit the nte field by chsing Nte in the tlbar. Tracking f Cntrl-Relevant Prducts Yu can display additinal infrmatin n the verview screen, which shws hw much stck f a particular cntrl-relevant prduct exists fr a legal unit, r which quantities f these prducts yu sld t which custmers. T shw this infrmatin, yu change the layut by chsing Change Layut in the tlbar. Fr example, yu can add the fllwing clumns: External License Number Pint f Departure Name / Place f Destinatin Name The name f the legal unit r business partner (custmer/vendr) that is defined in the business partner recrd Pint f Departure City / Place f Destinatin City The city f the legal unit r business partner (custmer/vendr) that is defined in the business partner recrd Triggering f Fllw-On Functins After Dcument Release in SAP GTS Yu can display the index table if the fllw-n functins fr individual dcuments cannt be triggered due t an errr. Yu list the unprcessed dcuments, identify the errr, and crrect it. Then yu trigger the fllw-n functins fr the dcument. Restring f Imprt and Exprt Dcuments in the Feeder System If a system is dwn, the feeder system cllects all dcuments that yu create r change during that dwntime in the index table. Yu can display the index table t see which dcuments culd nt be successfully transferred during repeated transfer attempts. Yu identify the errr, remve the cause f the errr, and repeat the dcument transfer. Transfer f Master Data When custmer data is transferred frm the feeder system t the GTS system, the transfer functin nw integrates fields that cntain data fr classifying the custmer (usage and military/civilian use; fr example, arms technlgy, drugs). This feature nly wrks if yu have classified yur custmers. 5

6 Definitin f License Types In Custmizing, yu can define that a dcument is autmatically blcked if the address in that dcument is nt the same as the address in the license. Yu can als have the system set the license t a status that yu can define in Custmizing; fr example, T Be Reviewed. Then yu can check whether the change is uncritical and the license can be reactivated, r whether yu need t request the license again. In previus releases, yu were nly able t define that the system autmatically changes the status f the license when business partner addresses are changed. Simulatin f Business Transactins fr Legal Cntrl When yu simulate business transactins, the criteria fr selecting dcument data nw includes grss weight and net weight. Archiving f License Data In the GTS area menu, yu can use the standard transactin SARA t archive the varius types f license data (fr example, imprt/exprt licenses, letters f credit, authrizatins, and securities). Definitin f Determinatin Prcedure t Autmatically Determine License Types In Custmizing, yu can define new determinatin strategies that the system uses t autmatically determine the license types that are required fr certain business transactins. Examples f such license types include general licenses r individual validated licenses (Germany). The determinatin prcedure, which includes the determinatin strategies, cntrls hw the system determines the license types that are relevant fr a specific legal regulatin. Yu can assign the fllwing new determinatin strategies t a determinatin prcedure: Cuntry grup/cuntry grup/cntrl class Cuntry grup/cuntry grup/cntrl class/cntrl gruping Regin/regin/cntrl class Regin/regin/cntrl gruping Re-Exprt Define Freign Trade Organizatin fr Re-Exprt In previus releases, the freign trade rganizatin (FTO) unit that was used fr reexprts was the same as the ne used fr custms prcessing. This frced yu t use the legal units that were als assigned t an FTO unit in custms prcessing. This cnstraint has been lifted as f this release. Nw yu can als define FTO units specifically fr re-exprts in a hierarchy t reflect the rganizatinal structure f yur enterprise, using legal units in ne cuntry r acrss several cuntries. Thus, using the FTO unit, yu can determine the prprtinal values in a prduct fr a specific legal regulatin. These prprtinal values are the basis fr legal cntrl. Assign Legal Unit t a Freign Trade Organizatin As f this release, yu can assign legal units that are lcated in a single cuntry r in multiple cuntries t a freign trade rganizatin unit fr re-exprts. 6

7 Since yu can freely define price types as f this release, fr re-exprts it may be necessary fr yu t assign price types t a legal regulatin and cuntry grup. 8 5 Integratin with Transprtatin Management (New) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, yu can perfrm sanctined party list screening and embarg checks between SAP Transprtatin Management (SAP TM) and SAP Glbal Trade Services (SAP GTS). This lets yu delay transprtatin executin in SAP TM 9.0 until the sanctined party list (SPL) screening and embarg checks have been perfrmed in the GTS system. Furthermre, lgistic service prviders can nw create custms exprt declaratins fr duty-paid gds and gds nt subject t exprt cntrls in Custms Management using frwarding rders frm SAP TM 9.0 as a basis. By ding this, yu can delay transprtatin executin in SAP TM until the custms authrities release an exprt, making sure yur lgistics prcesses cmply with lcal laws. The data is exchanged between the GTS and TM systems using enterprise services. In additin t transferring the data frm SAP TM t create the custms declaratin in the GTS system, data is als transferred back t SAP TM t trace the prgress f the prcess. This retransferred data includes the dcument reference and registratin number f the custms exprt declaratin frm the custms authrities. 9 6 Determinatin f Lw-Level Cdes per Transferred Bill f Materials (Enhanced) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, in Preference Prcessing yu can determine and harmnize the lw-level cdes f bills f material acrss different systems. The sequence f preference determinatin fr all finished prducts r assemblies is determined accrding t the lw-level cdes in bills f materials. This is because the lw-level cdes reflect the dependencies n individual cmpnents and assemblies. In cases where multiple feeder systems r plants are cnnected t the GTS system, the lw-level cdes in bills f materials f ne feeder system might differ frm thse f anther feeder system. This can prduce inaccurate determinatin results. The new functin determines and harmnizes the lw-level cdes in bills f materials acrss different systems. This ensures that the determinatin results are accurate. The lg indicates that determined lw-level cdes are emplyed in the preference determinatin. 9

10 7 Dcument Determinatin (New) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, yu can use Dcument Determinatin t generate default values fr dcument cdes and additinal cdes in GTS custms declaratins. The system prpses default values accrding t measures, which are assigned t tariff numbers. The default values are based n the EU custms tariffs as well as natinal extensins. Furthermre, fr each tariff number yu can display measure details, such as the validity perid, cuntry infrmatin, ftntes, and measure cnditins. Yu can uplad the measures fr a tariff number, including measure types, additinal cdes, actin cdes, and cuntry grups, int the GTS system. The measures are then available as master data during classificatin. The GTS system uses the upladed measures t autmatically generate determinatin strategies fr cmpliance management. The measures are used fr the respective exprt transactins t determine (a) the dcument cdes fr transactins nt subject t exprt cntrl r (b) the license types fr transactins subject t exprt cntrls. These are then used as default values in custms declaratins. Using current TARIC data helps prevent data entry errrs. Effects n Existing Data Yu need t acquire the TARIC measures relevant t yur enterprise frm yur data prvider, and uplad this data int yur system. Effects n Custmizing Yu make yur settings fr dcument determinatin in Custmizing under Glbal Trade Services -> General Settings -> Numbering Schemes -> Settings fr Measures in Dcument Determinatin. 11 8 Risk Management (Enhanced) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, preference determinatin features the fllwing prcesses and functins t enable the use f mre preference agreements. Define Price Types As f GTS 10.1, the term valuatin type as been replaced with the term price type because the new term better reflects hw the system interprets price infrmatin (material price and net cst). Prducts that are transferred frm a feeder system t the GTS system cntain prices in the prduct master recrd. Yu can nw define yur wn price types t manage prices that differ frm thse in the prduct master recrd. Yu have t decide hw preference determinatin uses these price types s that the applicatins cmply with legal regulatins. See the Custmizing activity Assign Price Types t Agreements fr Determinatins Assign Price Types t Agreements fr Determinatins Fr each preference agreement, yu can define which price types are used in preference determinatin. Assignments between preference agreements and price types are made using the cmparisn methd. As technical instances f preference rules, cmparisn methds determine which methd is used in preference determinatin t select prices. Nte If yu d nt want t apply the new lgic, yu can cntinue using the applicatin as in the past. If yu want t use the new lgic, yu have t adjust the Custmizing settings fr all preference agreements in use. This means yu have t ensure that these preference agreements are assigned t price types using the cmparisn methd. Yu can d this in Custmizing activity Assign Price Types t Agreements fr Determinatins. Enhancements in Preference Determinatin If yu assign price types t agreements fr preference determinatin, the determinatin fr individual agreements then uses the respective prices. This ensures that the applicatins cmply with legal regulatins in thse agreements. In previus releases, the fllwing methds were available: External preference dcument thrugh lng-term vendr declaratins r manual setting f the preference indicatr Transactin Value Methd Net Cst Methd Tariff Shift As f this release, the fllwing methds have been added t supprt mre preference agreements: 11

12 Build-Up Methd Yu can use this methd t determine the preference status fr certain agreements. This methd uses the riginating value fr determining the reginal value cntent (RVC). Build-Dwn Methd Yu can use this methd t determine the preference status fr certain agreements. This methd uses the nn-riginating value fr determining the RVC. Example The agreement between the United States and Australia permits the use f the buildup and the build-dwn methds. T use these methds, yu have assigned the respective price types ("adjusted price") t bth f these methds. Nte These methds als require the relevant preference rules. Preference Prcessing des nt cntain standard frms fr the new methds (buildup and build-dwn). Hwever, yu can use the standard interface alng with the vendr declaratin fr custmer purpses t create the frms. 13 9 Assignment f Mdes f Transprt frm Feeder Systems (New) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, yu can assign mdes f transprt frm feeder systems. Custms authrities have their wn cmpulsry classificatin f mdes f transprt. SAP GTS uses the same classificatin f mdes f transprt as the custms authrities. Yu have t make this assignment if the feeder system uses different classificatins fr mdes f transprt. Assign Mde f Transprt at Feeder-System Level If there is nly ne feeder system r there are varying mdes f transprt in a number f feeder systems, we recmmend that yu assign the mdes f transprt at feeder system level. Assign Mde f Transprt at Grup-f-Feeder-Systems Level If a number f feeder systems have identical mdes f transprt, we recmmend that yu assign the mdes f transprt at feeder system grup level. 14 10 Classificatin Master Data: Chapter Restrictins (New) As f SAP Glbal Trade Services 10.1, yu can restrict the uplad f cmmdity cdes and tariff cde numbers t specific chapters. In previus releases, all chapters (up t 98 in ttal) were delivered by data prviders. Hwever, custmers typically need nly a few chapters. There was n means f filtering the data dwn t individual chapters. The nly way t uplad individual chapters was if the data prvider delivered ne file per chapter. But this required mre effrt depending n the number chapters being upladed. The new functin enables yu t select and then uplad nly thse chapters yu really need. Keeping the number f chapters t a minimum als bsts system perfrmance in the classificatin envirnment and imprves usability because nly the relevant cmmdity cdes and tariff cde numbers are available. Effects n Data Transfer Yu need t use the XML interface t uplad classificatin master data (type f numbering scheme 101-Imprt Cntrl Classificatin Numbers r 102-Cmmdity Cdes) int the GTS system. In previus releases, the prduct shrt text served as the cmmercial descriptin, but was ften insufficient fr this purpse. T meet the requirements f custms authrities, as f this release yu can define glbal and cuntry-dependent custms cmmercial descriptins in different languages. 15

If yu d nt want t check the archivability in an SAP ERP feeder system, yu can use the BAdI methd ARCHIVABILITY_CHECK t flag the custms dcuments as archivable in the SAP GTS system. BAdI fr Custms Warehuse Stck Lists Yu can use this BAdI t extend the stck lists in the Custms Warehuse sectin with custmer-defined fields. This cncerns the fllwing stck lists: Duty-Unpaid Individual Stck Items Receipts and Issues 16

17 Extended View: Duty-Unpaid Individual Stck Items Opening/Clsing Stck List Extended View: Duty-Unpaid Individual Stck Items with Opening/Clsing Stck Business Add-Ins fr Custms Management BAdI fr EDI Outbund Prcessing fr Excise Duty Prcessing The BAdI lets yu change the data frm the messages r subject it t special checks befre yu send them t the custms authrities within the framewrk f Excise Mvement Cntrl (EMC) in excise duty mnitring. Yu make the changes with this BAdI befre the message leaves the GTS system and is sent t the cnverter system. In the default settings, the system sends the dcument data frm the applicatin t a cnverter system in IDcs, which the system then cnverts fr Electrnic Data Interchange (EDI) with the custms authrities. The cnverter system can cnvert the IDcs t the different data frmats required by the respective custms authrities, fr example, XML and EDI message frmat. The cnverter system frwards the data t the custms authrities in the necessary frmat. BAdI fr EDI Inbund Prcessing fr Receipt Cntrl f e-ads The BAdI lets yu read the data frm the messages and, if the infrmatin regarding prcessing in the GTS is ambiguus, determine the specific data. This is relevant, fr example, fr determining the tax debtr with the freign trade rganizatin r the tax warehuse as legal unit. Yu can als determine which directin the message belngs t in transactins in which yu are bth cnsignr and cnsignee. BAdI fr Suppressing the Fallback Prcedure f a Custms Declaratin Yu can use this BAdI t suppress the fallback prcedure fr a custms declaratin. Yu can, fr example, avid the fallback prcedure fr deliveries f gds in sensitive cuntries if yu use an electrnic prcess fr the deliveries f gds, instead f a paper-based prcess. 17
