2 OVERVIEW Are you a natural communicator who wants a career in Marketing? Do you have a love of the Arts? HdK is looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our digital marketing agency. You will gain experience creating content, delivering marketing campaigns, digital advertising and even learn website coding, within a busy, but social team environment. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to network and collaborate with some of the industry s top movers and shakers, interacting with individuals from differing backgrounds and experiences, to help you understand exactly what roles are out there.

3 JOB DESCRIPTION This job is ideal for someone who wants to develop their marketing experience in a small and supportive working team. We create content, manage websites and deliver social media campaigns mainly working in the arts sector across theatre, dance, music organisations, artists and artist management. You will also get to work with our clients in other sectors. Responsibilities include scheduling posts across different social media channels for HdK and for our clients, developing strategies to grow followers and assisting with client reports. You will be expected to make updates to HdK and our client websites, which will involve learning HTML, how to use FTP and other technical roles. You will research potential clients, following up potential leads, executing our creative direct mail campaign and supporting the Social Media and Content Marketer with our social media strategies across various platforms. Other responsibilities include creating content for the HdK website, such as case studies, blog posts and working on the newsletter. There will be opportunities to be introduced to Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimisation and online advertising. You will also be responsible for assisting with reports that track usage against benchmarks and the strategic vision. You will be required to manage multiple projects at any one time, so you ll need to be organised and happy managing multiple priorities under pressure. As we are currently a small team, you will be introduced to other areas of the business so you can offer a hand when other team members are away. This will all contribute to an understanding of digital marketing in a wider sense and makes for a supportive team-working environment and a seamless service to our clients.

4 ABOUT HdK Hans de Kretser Associates is a small team with a big reputation in the Art sector providing digital solutions to a wide range of arts and entertainment organisations. Clients include Dance Consortium, Bill Kenwright Ltd, Spitalfields Music Festival, Dance Umbrella and tours of shows such as Benidorm Live and Peppa Pig as well as over a hundred other arts organisations, various West End shows and UK Tours. 5 RESPONSIBILITIES Generating content and scheduling posts on Social Media for campaigns Marketing Analysis using tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights Support the team to write proposals and client marketing reports Generating leads for new business using internet research backed up with telephone and direct mail Generating content for the HdK blog and website Developing the newsletter list and producing the quarterly newsletter Running campaigns to increase traffic to the HdK Website including Search Engine Optimization and Online Advertising Attend meetings and briefings with clients and peers; taking meeting notes Support the team to prepare pitches Using the Customer Relationship Management tool to track client leads and contacts PERSON SPECIFICATION The intern will be suitable for someone who can demonstrate that they have: Educated to higher education level or suitable work experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Confidence to express ideas as part of a creative team An excellent grasp of social media and new technology Confidence at working individually as well as part of a small team Strong commitment to customer service Excellent people skills A strong eye for detail The ability to manage several projects at once Self-motivated we are a small team, so you won t be micromanaged. This means you ll be expected to manage your own time effectively. 7 LOCATION We are based next to Hoxton Hall, an old Victorian theatre on Hoxton Street.
