The Bunker is expanding its marketing offer to producers and companies, and committed to reaching wider and more representative audiences. We are looking for a talented communicator who is driven to reach out to lots of new and existing audiences about our work and our artists. The Marketing Manager s responsibilities will include providing marketing support to all our curated work, including our main shows, Sunday/Monday shows, Underground Nights and comedy nights. This will include sending regular s to our mailing list, leading on our social media presence and print distribution. They will oversee the use of our branding, develop our voice as a theatre, and manage budgets for marketing activities. This position may be suitable for someone who does not have previous experience of marketing for theatre venues and we are keen to hear about transferable experiences and skills. 2 About The Bunker Theatre With four concrete pillars marking out a large thrust performance space, an eclectic mix of audience seating on three sides of the stage, and a craft beer bar, The Bunker is a visceral and unique performance space with a character of its own. The Bunker believes in artists. We give ambitious artists a home in which to share their work with adventurous audiences. We are champions of each piece that we programme and we want to ensure our stage is filled with exciting, exhilarating, and contemporary theatre featuring artists that represent the world that we live in. The Bunker was opened in October 2016 by founding directors Joshua McTaggart and Joel Fisher. The theatre s first year of work included the award-winning sell-out show SKIN A CAT, Cardboard Citizen s 25th Anniversary epic HOME TRUTHS, and the world premiere of 31 HOURS. Inhouse productions have included ABIGAIL, EYES CLOSED, EARS COVERED and DEVIL WITH THE BLUE DRESS. In September 2018, Artistic Director Chris Sonnex joined Executive Director David Ralf to lead the theatre s small but dedicated team, several of whom were involved in the original conversion of the space. Bunker Theatre Productions CIC is a not-for-profit theatre, which currently receives no public subsidy. The Role: Marketing Manager of The Bunker Employment Details Title of post: Responsible to: Hours: Marketing Manager Executive Director 24hrs per week Schedule is negotiable. 3-day weeks or some other weekly hours may be preferable for the successful candidate. Due to the nature of the business occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Salary: 12,000 per annum ( 20,000 pro rata) Holiday entitlement: 17 days per year, inclusive of statutory holiday. Contract: 1 year Notice period: 1 month. Probation period: 3 months. Pension: Statutory workplace stakeholder pension

3 Main Roles and Responsibilities Campaign Management - Liaising with main show companies and producers to develop and support production campaigns from image and copy through to print, distribution and organic and paid social media campaigns. - Advising Sunday/Monday companies on marketing approaches - Leading on promoting our Underground and comedy nights. - Evaluating the success of campaigns and marketing activity on a regular and an ongoing basis - Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement Online & Digital - Designing and sending fortnightly newsletters including PS swaps with other theatres and arts organisations - Developing Scheduling social media content for our show campaigns, and with The Bunker team, leading a lively and engaged social media presence. - Ensuring shows are listed correctly with a wide variety of listings sites including the Press Association. - Keeping up-to-date with legal requirements for data protection and ensuring that all our stakeholder and customer data is protected Audience Development - On a campaign-by-campaign basis, reaching out to new networks, communities to engage with a broad audience. - Alongside the Front of House Manager, working with ticket agencies and discovery platforms to reach digital audiences. - Developing and overseeing procedures to retain and engage existing Bunker audiences. Company Branding - Maintaining good and clean use of The Bunker s logo and marketing templates, including checking and sign-off of all print and digital assets. - Overseeing the developing of The Bunker s voice across all media.

4 Skills and Experience Required Skills and Experience - Experience communicating across a variety of marketing channels including , organic and paid social media promotion and print. - Good organizational skills. - Good communication and people skills. - The ability to deliver projects on time and on budget. - The ability to evaluate precisely, and use tools to track - Passionate interest in theatre - Interest in reaching new groups including existing theatregoers and non-theatregoers. Desired Skills and Experience - Experience with social media advertising - Experience with website content management systems - Experience managing budgets - Experience with website analytics tools - An understanding of graphic design and video packages (ideally Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro)
