3 IBM System x and System Storage Technical University, Orlando, Florida, July 18 22, 2011 General Event Information DATE and PLACE July 18-22, 2011 Orlando Hilton 6001 Destination Parkway Orlando, Flordia Tel: Florida/index.do The Hilton Orlando is an AAA Four Diamond hotel, located just off International Drive (South), featuring four restaurants, Aquatic Park, Spa and other amenities. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of Orlando s world famous attractions and entertainment area, and moments away from Pointe Orlando, SeaWorld, Universal Orlando, and Walt Disney World Theme Parks. We are only 13 miles from Orlando International Airport and a short 45 minute drive to Cocoa Beach. This co-located System x and System Storage conference will have a common Solution Center. The intended audience is IBM clients (System x and System Storage), IBM Business Partners, Independent Software Vendors / System Integrators, and IBMers. The primary audience is technical specialists who perform a design and implementation role. The agenda will offer over 250 sessions across 15 tracks in 4.5 days. Sponsorship registration will be done via online enrollment tool, which is linked from the event web site, under the Solution Center tab s System x Event url: System Storage Event url: Rush Pricing: In 2011 IBM will be implementing a Rush Price Structure ; this 10% price up-lift will automatically apply to all applications which are submitted after June 27 th, 2011 (21 days in advance). This price up-lift is due to increased re-work and costs which are incurred. Please plan accordingly to have your application submitted in a timely manner and remember the earlier your application is submitted the better selection you will have for your pedestal within you the exhibitor level. Presentation session (with speaker badge) $2,500* A single presentation lecture (where available) to provide a technical overview of your company, included in this option is one Speaker badge. Subject to availability; when available, and where available, maximum of one per sponsor. Requirements: Sponsor must provide title of session, abstract of content, summary of session and Speaker name to IBM event management 28 days prior to the first day of the event. Sponsor will be provided a standard presentation room configured with typical a/v equipment being used for the conference and as determined by IBM event management. All applications for this opportunity require IBM approval. Solution center manager notifies Technical Training and Education content manager of purchase of session. Content manager contacts session buyer to discuss details of session, buyer provides session details. Content manager notifies event manager and schedules session in program agenda. Event manager ensures facilities are scheduled to accommodate session. Content manager becomes primary interface with session buyer. 2. Literature seat drop at one general session $1,000* A single literature drop of printed material no larger than 8½ x 11", placed on the attendee seats prior to the start of the conference general session. This may be a brochure, white paper, flyer, multiple page publication, but can not be more than a single item, nor can it exceed 5 sheets or 10 pages in total. Subject to availability; when available, and where available, maximum of one per sponsor. Requirements Sponsor must purchase this opportunity at the time of sponsorship application submission. Sponsor must provide proof copy of the drop composition to IBM event management no later than 14 days prior to the first day of the event for IBM approval. Sponsor must provide enough copies of materials for the estimated number of event attendees as specified by event management. Sponsor is responsible for providing all material to event management on-site that will be seat dropped. All applications for this opportunity require IBM approval. Solution center manager notifies sponsor of required submission of review copy and Sponsor provides the review copy. Solution center manager reviews and notifies sponsor of required quantity and delivery date. Sponsor delivers required quantity of inserts to location on date specified. Solution center manager schedules and executes seat drop at event.

6 Additional Opportunities Detail (continued) 3. Advertisement flyer insert in welcome kit $1,500* Advertisement flyer insertion into the conference welcome kit. The welcome kit will be distributed to event attendees. Subject to availability; when available, and where available, one per sponsor. Requirements: Maximum size of flyer is 8½ x 11", one sheet in count (e.g. 2 pages, front and back). Sponsor must provide event solution center management with sample for review and approval 28 days prior to first day of the event. Sponsor must provide enough flyers for the estimated number of event attendees as specified by event management. Sponsor must deliver the flyers to event management on-site at the event four days prior to the first day of the event. All applications and flyer content is subject to IBM approval. Solution center manager notifies sponsor of required submission of review copy. Sponsor delivers review copy. Solution center manager reviews and notifies sponsor of required quantity and delivery date. Sponsor delivers required quantity of inserts to location on date specified. Solution center manager schedules and executes insertion of flyer into the welcome kit. 4. Printed advertisement in solution center guide (pricing varies) $1,750* Full-page advertisement, printed in the inside body of the conference guide. $1,000* Half-page advertisement, printed in the inside body of the conference guide. Subject to availability; when available, where available, one advertisement. If multiple applications are received, selection is awarded to earliest submission as determined by date and time of submission recorded in application database. Requirements: Sponsor must provide event solution center management with print-ready ad copy. Deadline for submission is 28 days prior to the first day of the event. All applications, text, logos, content, and ad copy are subject to IBM approval. Solution center manager notifies publications manager of purchase of advertisement. Solution center manager notifies advertisement buyer of required information and input to be received from buyer. Buyer delivers required information to publications manager. Publications manager processes advertisement in publication layout and prints guide. Solution center manager ensures advertisement is published. This is a small sample of the companies which have attended our Technical Universities and represent opportunities to our Solution Center Sponsors.

7 IBM System x and System Storage Technical University, Orlando, Florida, July 18 22, Passport Card Program Participation $500* The Passport Card is a printed card which lists all of the participating vendors names (or logo s) and given to all of the Solution Center attendees. The attendee will go around to each of the participating vendors to receive a sticker. Once the attendee has completed (filled) the card, they will return the card to the Solution Center desk to receive a gift. Subject to availability; when available, and where available, limited to one. Requirements: Deadline for submission is 28 days prior to the first day of the event. All applications are subject to IBM approval. Solution center manager creates, prints and distributes Passport card to Solution Center attendees Solution center manager will distribute stickers (or stamp) to each of the participating vendors Solution Center vendors will place stickers (or stamp) on their slot Page 7

8 Terms and Conditions Sponsor terms and conditions 1. By submitting this application Sponsor agrees to comply with these terms and conditions, the attached Sponsor Guidelines and any other reasonable rules implemented by IBM in connection with the Systems and Technology Group (STG) Lab Services and Training Solution Center Sponsorship Package. 2. IBM reserves the right to refuse any application without explanation in its sole discretion. 3. Sponsors may not sublet, assign, or apportion any part of the space allotted, nor represent, advertise, or distribute literature for the products or services of any other firm or individual except as approved in writing by IBM. 4. Sponsor grants to IBM and its subsidiaries, contractors, agents and assigns a license to use, display, copy, and distribute Sponsor's trademarks, and the information about Sponsor that Sponsor provides, on IBM's internal and external websites, STG Lab Services and Training Technical University materials and signage in order to promote Sponsor's sponsorship of the STG Lab Services and Training Technical University. IBM will make a good faith effort to follow any trademark guidelines provided by Sponsor. 5. IBM reserves the right to restrict exhibits which become objectionable or otherwise detract from or are out of keeping with the character of the Solution Center Exhibit areas as a whole as determined by IBM in its sole discretion. 6. Direct sales (the exchange of merchandise for money) are not permitted on the Solution Center Exhibit floors without written permission from IBM. Orders only may be taken for later fulfillment. 7. On behalf of Sponsors, IBM has designated Solution Center contractors to provide the following: drayage, labor, cartage, installation and dismantling, furniture, demonstration pedestal and floor decorations, signs, photographs, telephone services etc. Services of electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and other labor will be available and charged for at the then-prevailing rates. IBM assumes no responsibility or liability for any of the services performed or materials delivered by the foregoing persons, parties and organizations. Arrangements must be made between Sponsors and the official Solution Center contractors. 8. Any space provided to Sponsor, including, but not limited to, any kiosks, exhibit space or conference rooms, is provided on an "as is" basis. Anyone visiting, viewing or otherwise participating in the space is deemed to be the invitee or licensee of Sponsor while so visiting, viewing or otherwise participating in the space, rather than the invitee or licensee of IBM. Sponsor shall return the space in as good condition as it was received, reasonable wear and tear excepted. Sponsor shall conduct itself in a decorous manner and comply with all requirements, rules or reasonable requests of IBM or the conference landlord with respect to its use of the space. 9. Neither party shall be liable to the other party for incidental, indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages of any kind, including without limitation lost revenues or profits, whether such liability is asserted on the basis of contract, tort, or otherwise, even if the other party has been warned of the possibility of such loss or damage in advance. In no event will IBM's liability for actual direct damages exceed the amount of fees actually paid by Sponsor to IBM as part of Sponsor's sponsorship of the STG Lab Services and Training Technical University. 10. IBM may cancel any or all of the STG Lab Services and Training Technical Universities at any time in IBM's sole discretion. In the event of any such cancellation, IBM will use reasonable efforts to provide Solutions Center Sponsors with prompt notice of cancellation. IBM's sole liability and Sponsor's sole remedy in the event of cancellation of any or all of the 2011 Technical Universities shall be limited to return of the sponsorship fees paid by Sponsors. In no event shall IBM be responsible for airfare, hotel, or any other expenses incurred by Sponsors. If the Sponsor cancels less than ninety (90) days before the applicable STG Lab Services and Training Technical Universities commences, Sponsor shall be liable for one-hundred percent of the total sponsorship fee. 11. Sponsor may not assign its sponsorship to any third party without the consent of the other party. 12. These terms and conditions, the Sponsor Guidelines and all other matters arising our or relating to Sponsor's Solution Center Sponsorship shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York. 13. Any hardware provided to the Sponsor, including hand held scanners, or other computer equipment (but not limited too) is the responsibility of the Sponsor during the event. 14. In this document a Sponsor can either be an event Sponsor or event Exhibitor. 15. Pricing, Descriptions or other information within this document may change without notice.
