1 CLIENT REPORTING PORTAL USER GUIDE PREPARED FOR

2 INTRODUCTION Our bespoke quarterly reporting service has been designed to meet client needs and to form a core part of ongoing client reviews. The facility enables advisers to keep clients informed as to what is happening within their investment portfolios and bring the portfolios management to life. In addition, the portal allows you to personalise each report with your logo and contact details. The reporting tool is populated with data from your point-of-sale system. If your client records are not within your point-of-sale system, or have not been configured correctly, they will not be imported into the tool. The tool is run by Black Sun, the specialist corporate reporting consultancy. In this guide, we will take a detailed look at the reporting facility and explain how it works. Login: 1. LOGIN First of all you will need to log in to the reporting portal. As long as you have a valid address within your point-of-sale system, you will be able to do this on receipt of an link from registration@ intrinsicreports.com, which will ask you to set up a password. Once you are logged in, you are live. The portal is designed for different audiences: if you are a sole trader, you might want to generate the reports yourself; if you are a larger firm, you might want a paraplanner or administrators to generate, download and send out reports on behalf of all advisors. We can arrange for administrators to have their own log in details; please contact the Quilter Investors client services team to arrange this. 2. HOME PAGE The homepage gives you five options: Set up your report template Update your clients details Create and send a report View the report archive Help Page 1

3 3. REPORT SETTINGS The first option, titled Setting up the report template, enables you to customise the report with the type of information you wish to upload and display on the report cover. Your name and address will be populated from your pointof-sale system on a quarterly basis. You will only need to upload your company logo and website URL once, although they can be amended if necessary. 4. MY CLIENTS All of your clients invested in a Quilter Investors multi-asset portfolio will have been loaded onto the portal and they can be filtered by client and by adviser. Remember, it is imperative that you decide which clients will receive these reports on an ongoing basis and that you have validated their data in the portal. You can either select all clients, or just those whom you want to receive the reports. That said, we expect the reports to be relevant to all your clients. You can then download the PDFs of the reports to send out to your clients or use in face-to-face meetings. 5. SUPPORT In addition, we offer ongoing support, with a Frequently Asked Questions section and telephone number for any more detailed queries. 6. RECORD KEEPING The portal also contains other useful aspects, such as a section where you can access historic reports. Page 2

4 CLIENT REPORT OVERVIEW 1. FRONT COVER As noted earlier, the front cover enables you to provide your clients with personalised details - your company s logo, the client s name and your details. 2. VALUATION OVERVIEW On the next page you ll have the client s comprehensive valuation, also broken down by product. 3. NOTE FROM THE PM The reports contain a client-friendly note detailing the significant economic and market developments of the quarter and the headline impact on the portfolios. 4. VALUATION SUMMARY There s an investment summary showing the asset allocation of the portfolios and how this has changed from the previous quarter. In addition, we detail the performance over the past six months, year, three years, five years and from launch, as well as discrete calendar years. 5. HOLDINGS REPORT The valuation summary is followed by the list of holdings within the relevant asset classes/sub asset classes. Each asset class is colour coded: Dark green for equities Light green for fixed income Orange for alternatives Maroon for cash As you can see, we not only provide the percentage of the portfolio that those holdings/asset classes/sub-asset classes comprise, but also the value of each individual holding/asset class/sub asset class. 6. COMMENTARY/ANALYSIS There is also commentary and analysis on each asset class, comprising: Market overview for the asset class for that quarter Performance analysis i.e. impact on the portfolio Changes to the portfolios for that quarter (such as key buys and sells and reasons why) Outlook for the next quarter As such, clients will be able to see the key drivers of return in the portfolios. Again, each asset class is colour-coded; this helps bring to life the holdings information and active management within the portfolios. Page 3
