2 On 5/6th November 2018 we ll hold our first ever national conference dedicated to bringing together key voices from across sectors to explore the commercialisation potential of small nuclear in the UK. Our Nuclear Sector Deal, announced in the summer, signalled a key moment for Government and industry in showing shared commitment to the nuclear sector and set out a new high level framework to support the development and deployment of small reactors in the UK. The independent Expert Finance Working Group also published its report soon after. In the Nuclear Sector Deal the Department of Business, Energy and Industry Strategy (BEIS) committed to facilitating an event aimed at bringing together industry stakeholders, interested regional stakeholders, potential high energy users and the finance community to promote further dialogue and collaboration, not just in the nuclear sector but in other sectors as well, to further this progress. The event Is being held at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry with an evening networking event on Monday 5th November, followed by a full day conference on Tuesday 6th November, which will feature live demonstrations, key notes addresses and delegates from all over the world. The MTC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult network and showcases the latest in advanced manufacturing and construction techniques. This is a not-for-profit event and all sponsorship and exhibition monies raised will be used to pay for the cost of hosting the event. We thank you for your support. 8 Application for a sponsorship / exhibition package To apply for a sponsorship/exhibition package please complete the booking form and the eligibility declaration form and then both documents to register@marickpartners.co.uk. Once received, your application will be reviewed by the event management team at Marick who will aim to respond to all applications within one week. Submission of an application does not guarantee that a sponsorship or exhibition package will be allocated. Marick reserves the absolute right to refuse an organisation s application, including in circumstances where (i) the number of applications exceeds the number of sponsorship/exhibition packages available or (ii) if facts come to light meaning the applicant would (or would be likely to) have an adverse impact on Marick s and/or the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy s reputation. As a not for profit event, all revenues will only be used to fund the cost of hosting the pre-conference dinner, the event and technical demonstrations. Any surplus funds will be distributed back to sponsors and exhibitors on a pro-rata basis within two-months of the event. Eligibility Declaration Form Only organisations that meet the eligibility criteria below will be able to sponsor or exhibit at the Commercialisation of Small Nuclear in the UK Event on 5/6 November Please read the eligibility criteria carefully to ensure that your organisation is compliant. Then sign and return with your booking form. It is a requirement for sponsors / exhibitors to notify us as soon as possible if they no longer meet the eligibility criteria. In this circumstance, Marick has the right to terminate a sponsorship / exhibition package with all monies refunded. Eligibility Criteria 1. Constitution: The organisation (or the lead partner if a consortium) is a registered company. 2. Offences: Neither the company, nor any of its directors or officers, have been convicted of any of the offences listed under regulation 57(1) of the Public Contracts Regulations This also applies to any parent company or consortium partners, and to directors or officers of those companies. 3. Sanctions: Neither the company, nor any of its directors or officers, are subject to United Nations, European Union or United Kingdom sanctions. This also applies to any parent company or consortium partners, and to shareholders, directors or officers of those companies. 4. Solvency: The company is not in the situation described in Article 57(8)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (it is not the subject of insolvency or winding-up proceedings etc., or in any analogous situation arising from a similar procedure under the laws and regulations of any state). This also applies to any parent company or consortium partners. 5. Non-proliferation: The company, and any shareholder, must be associated with a country that has both signed and ratified the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and have a Comprehensive Safeguards Agreement (CSA) with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The company, and any shareholder, must not be associated with a country which is subject to United Nations or European Union sanctions due to infringements of the NPT, their CSA or an associated Additional Protocol. These provisions also apply to any parent company or consortium partners. In this context associated with is defined as incorporated in, operating in, or owned (directly or indirectly) by nationals of this country.
