Nina Arndt and Michael Klumpp Owners, Black Label Yoga Gladbeck, Germany Nina and Michael s Story Nina Arndt grew up in Mülheim Ruhr, Germany, where she eventually went to work in the marketing department of an energy company. A few years later she was sent on a business trip where she met her now husband and business partner, Michael Klumpp, who introduced her to yoga. He was so good at it, I suggested he start teaching onsite yoga at his job. In September 2012, Michael ended up leaving his job, and Nina followed suit. I had just given birth to our son and we really needed a change of pace. We loved yoga, so we decided to pursue our aspirations of opening our own studio. 3 The Challenge Nina quickly realized that she needed a way to organize all of her work at the studio. I was looking for something that would put me at the helm of my business. I wanted the ability to track everything with detailed reports, take student payments and offer online booking to my customers. 4 Since using MINDBODY s AutoPay feature we ve increased our monthly income by 4.455! Nina no longer has to worry about collecting dues every month with MINDBODY s AutoPay feature. And because it schedules payments for a designated period of time, she can use her expected revenue to make projections for the week, month, quarter or year. I love this feature! It s helped steady my revenue and gives me the information I need to make better decisions about the future of our business. The AutoPay feature also includes automated alerts letting students know when their card on file is nearing its expiration date. As the Black Label Yoga schedule continues to grow, Nina s ideas do, too. I m planning on launching a line of organic yoga clothing that will be available both online and in our studio. Currently, Nina is in the process of creating three separate lines: Pink Label Yoga for women, Blue Label Yoga for men and Jack Label Yoga (named after her son) for kids. And Michael is working toward building his class schedule by training and hiring more instructors. After searching for teachers, we decided to pick candidates from our own students to train as instructors.
