4 IV. Overview of Mix and Match in Amcom Software Mix and Match promotions are used to give discounts when multiple items are purchased from a mix of items. For example one can define a mix of all 20oz bottles of Pepsi products. When a transaction on the POS matches the defined qty of items from the mix, the discount will be applied. Below will give an overview of the Mix and Match screen in Amcom Software. More detail on setting up the mix and match can be found in the next section of this manual. This section is where the type of discount is setup. Qty for a set price, qty for a $ discount, or qty for % discount. This section shows the groups of items that use the discount above These are the individual items that make up the mix and match These are the locations the Mix and Match is setup for. These buttons can be used to modify the groups once a mix and match has been setup in Amcom Software In the example above, we have one Mix and Match setup for 2 items for $1. In the M&M Group section we have 2 groups setup. One for Sather s bagged candy, and one for Tube Peanuts. When a transaction on the POS contains 2 items from the individual items linked to a group a discount will be applied to the transaction. Please note if a customer purchases one bag of Sather s candy, and one tube of peanuts, no discount would be applied since the candy and nuts are in different M & M Groups. Page 4
