2 Industry Overview Marine Market Update 2016 was a year of growth both within the industry as well as economically. The industry experienced an early spike in sales partially due to the mild weather to start the year, this excellent early start continued steadily throughout the year. Popular segments included Personal Watercraft, Saltwater Fishing Boats and Inboard Ski Boats which contributed to a rise in overall sales. More entry level boats were available, featuring the most current innovative technology, catching the eyes of the younger generation. Economic factors, such as consumer confidence have continued to rise, while the unemployment rate continued to decline. Looking ahead into 2017, we are looking forward to a year of continued forward thinking change. Another uptick in consumer confidence combined with an exciting new product lineup, leads us to believe we will see continued growth within the Boating Industry.
