4 Husing in Cpenhagen The husing applicatin prcess in Cpenhagen can be difficult. Because husing is in great demand, prices have gne up in Cpenhagen as in ther majr internatinal cities. Mst rms in Cpenhagen cst between DKK 5,000-8,000 per mnth. *With the current exchange rate this is apprximately $800 - $1275.

5 UCPH Husing Fundatin The UCPH Husing Fundatin assists internatinal students cming t UCPH in finding accmmdatins in Cpenhagen. Independent entity NOT part f the Internatinal Office at UCPH. UCPH Husing Fundatin website:

6 Applying fr Husing Yu will receive an invitatin t apply in the nline husing bking system. The invitatin will be sent t yu via . (Check bth yur KU and MyEAP s.) Spring semester invitatins will be sent ut mid t late Nvember. The Husing Fundatin will send an infrmatin befre invitatins t access the bking system are sent ut. Enter the bking system right after receiving the invitatin frm the UCPH Husing Fundatin. The system wrks n a first cme-first served basis and ptins g quickly. It is nt pssible t request a specific husing ptin. Yu are required t chse between the available ptins shwn in the bking system.

7 Guidelines and Husing Optins Familiarize yurself with the guidelines n hw t apply: Check ut the varius husing ptins available fr students n the Husing Fundatin website: Halls f residence Shared apartments Yu can als read abut finding husing n yur wn n the Husing Fundatin website.

10 Husing Online Bking System Step 2 Select a rm Click n the husing ffer fr mre detailed infrmatin MAKE SURE yu select a husing ptin available befre yur prgram start date!

11 Husing Online Bking System Cntracts Within a few wrking days f making a bking, the Husing Fundatin will send yu an with yur cntracts. The will have 4 attachments; a rental cntract (in Danish nly), a service cntract, a declaratin f cnsent and a translatin f the rental cntract. Within 3 days f receiving this yu must uplad yur signed cntracts Please be aware that when signing a cntract, yu make a legal cmmitment with the Husing Fundatin. It is extremely imprtant that yu read yur cntracts thrughly. Cnsult with yur parents if they are helping t fund yur husing.

12 Husing Online Bking System Step 3 Payment Payment deadlines ALL students, including thse n financial aid, will be required t pay the first installment within 14 days f making the bking. Please be aware that the first installment can be up t 4 mnths rent + depsit f 8000 DKK. S d expect t be able t make a large payment n later than 14 days after making the bking. Payment ptins Tw ptins fr payment credit r debit card r bank transfer. There is a fixed fee fr making the bank transfer and a percentage fee fr making yur payment with a credit r debit card. The depsit can be returned t yu mre swiftly if making the payment with a credit r debit card.

13 Helpful Tips Dn t wait t lng t make a bking! Always make sure t press Save befre cntinuing yur applicatin! If n husing ptins appear Dn t despair! Many students will access the system at the same time. Cntinue t check the system ver several days after receiving the invitatin. Expect waiting time when accessing the nline bking system

14 Helpful Tips Uplading cntracts Yu have 3 days frm receiving yur cntracts t have them signed and upladed in the bking system. If the files are t large yu can cmpress pdf files by ging t the fllwing website: Yur bking is nt valid until it has been apprved by the UCPH Husing Fundatin. 17 Credit cards Prepare In Denmark mst payment cards have a chip and pin cde. Duble check with yur bank that yur cards will be wrking in Denmark. Ask yur bank abut internatinal fees. Gd idea t bring bth a debit card and a credit card. Cell phnes Will yur phne wrk in Denmark? Check with yur service prvider. Will yu be using yur American phne in Denmark r changing t a Danish SIM card? Check yur mbile plan prir t arrival. Yu can buy pre-paid Danish SIM cards upn arrival. Yu will need a Danish CPR number t get a mbile plan in Denmark.
